Just bought a 2020 GT in Velocity Blue and still getting used to the manual. It's an absolute beast and a blast to drive. I don't regret getting the manual one bit. Rocking my dream car and loving it.
I just bought a 2020 Mustang GT premium with the PP1 in Twisted orange with the black accent stripe in a manual. I couldn't care less how fast it goes from 0-60. It is one of the best looking cars on the road and sounds awesome!
My best time in my '15 gt base, non pp, manual was 4.7 seconds. I just have exhaust, a 93 tune and a square setup of 275s with michellin pilot super sports. My best times are achieved launching at a very low rpm. Like 2k. You have to feather it quite a bit off the line too. Ive gotten the best 0-60s and quarter mile times that way.
yoyo 19 , the stock shifter is pretty solid once you get used to it, but I guess if you’re really pushing the performance an upgrade might be needed. Overall the standard setup is more than satisfying for a daily driver.
HEY MAN! I commented on one of your videos about the engine tick and I said I was still looking forward to getting mine regardless. And I just wanted to update you that I finally picked mine Mustang GT (in manuel) Tuesday (June 30th) and so far loving it got PP1 and magnaride and all the bells and whistles. I plan on doing my own oil change when the times comes and let you know if I get the tick. I do not look forward to Los Angeles’ stop and go traffic lol but still I’m gonna enjoy the car! Look forward to more videos man!
Bro your RU-vid was gong crazy man why stop the grind? You were on a super rare good path and didn't even have to risk your freedom doing street racing to get views. Hope all is well.
Those are pretty good 0-60 times considering how bad you bog the engine every time you launch it. Get those RPMs up on the launch and during the rollout you should hear the tires squeaking like they are almost going to break loose but not spinning. Have fun with that Stang man :)
@@TheBlackMakoShark Yep and he's taking too long to shift from 1st to 2nd he waits to 50 everytime losing sec. that's why he's spinning so much also, 2nd pulls much harder and faster than 1st he just gotta get in 2nd much sooner.
On his community tab, he said the car went through Lemon Law (engine ticking, rattles, transmission issues IIRC) so he basically had to abandon the channel. I think he was focusing on school too
I am so close to being able to get one.... ever since I was a kid I always wanted a manual mustang... I would sit in them at the dealer with my dad and pretend to shift gears.... I have no experience driving a manual. when i get this car, it will be my first time!!!!!!!
@@nick000002 hey man thanks! I actually did end up buying one, and it’s the Oxford white 2020 mustang gt premium pp1!!! I love it so much and can’t wait to mod it in the future.
My old Z28 used to do 0-60 in 5.2 and that was a lot of fun for a 2001 model car. This is now 19 years later and the cars are $15-20k more than mine was. For all that extra money, you'd think these cars would go 0-60 in 2 seconds. WTF?
Just picked up a brand new 2021 GT in Oxford white and performance package. Feel like I’m living in a dream I still can’t believe it’s sitting in the driveway. One question it makes a clunk sound when you put it in first at a red light, if you put it back in neutral then back in first it doesn’t make that noise. Does any one know what that is?
With the magneride and larger wheels you can go up to 305’s. My PP2 has 11” wheels on the rear and 10.5” on the front. 305/30R19’s all around from the factory. Do you have 3.73 rear end or 3.51?
If I cared about how fast my car was I'd buy a used 2014 GT500. I'd rather row my gears and have fun doing it than let the car do it and end up just like any other camry or civil on the road. I'm not racing when I'm on the road. I'm cruising to have fun.
Hey man I really enjoyed your videos, idk if you stopped forever or just taking a break but I bet a lot more people also liked your videos. You should keep grinding, you have potential.
@@khyoon14 This^^ I have caught myself going from loving my car to absolutely fucking hating even owning it and not wanting to drive it due to this. Just because it had a problem I ended up fixing. Its very discouraging. I think if he focused on making content like he was just driving around and doing some fun stuff with some friends with other sport cars and doing some pulls here and there, I think he would reawaken not only his audience but his passion for youtube! Many memories to be made and enjoyed. I've been putting off making car content for a while too but something soon is to come.
best i got in my M6 2018 mustang gt was 4.6. Track off, but advance track on. As soon as I turn the advance track off its horrible. Only mods are exaust, drop in air filter and bmr stop the hop kit. I think the stop hop kit works a lot!
Or Maybe Better Tires, I Used To Have Nitto 555 G2 Summer Tires On The Rear, Even In Hot Weather They Would Spin, I Switched Them For BF Goodrich All Season Comp2 Tires And They Are Perf! In Rain And Dry It Holds Traction!
What's up bro, where you been? I've been looking for those videos pimp, but this is a good one. I have a set of 305/35/20 on the rear of my 2019 and best 0-60 I can pull is a 4.8 and I've owned a Mustang for 20 years or more lol so I know it's not my driving. I think that's all the car has, until I start modifying it. Keep the videos rolling brother, you make good content video I enjoy watching, thanks
11B Grunt definitely planning in uploading more. Thanks for the kinds words man. And you might be right, the manual just isn’t that quick unfortunately
4.8 is my best time with my 6 speed challenger R/T 5.7 stock. You definitely can get lower, just need find a better road surface to get more traction. Try road surface in rural areas.
My 19 PP2 with pilot sport 4S tires I can’t get quicker than 4.8 seconds. The most perfect launches and I still can’t beat 4.8. I do have a heavy sub box in the trunk tho lol.
Hey caffeinated motors! Or anyone else reading this lol I just wanted to updated on my Mustang GT since I got it like 3 months ago. I did my first oil change a while ago I put in 5w-30 since then I have driven the car another thousand miles only had the engine tick happen once while I was warming the car and it wasn’t constant and it went away once I started driving haven’t heard it since that once time. I have no real issues with the interior of that car other than Apple car play sometimes not working and the driver squeaking when it moves forward or backwards to get in and out of the car (I have that option turned on) only real major thing to have happened to me is electronic failure while driving on the 405 car went into limp mode, while I was setting up a tow for the mustang I turned it on and it went back to normal no more errors no more limp mode nothing(it was maybe 20 minutes or so until that error went away). Canceled the tow and just babied the car home. Since then nothing real big has happened car drives fine the 6 speed is fine no engine tick other than that one time. The driver seat squeak is annoying tho lol. Just wanted to share my two cents on my 2020 Ford Mustang GT!
@@caffeinatedmotors Yep the S197's were the same way as well, i had a 2014 Mustang CVS 3.7 Prem/Pony PP the car was only 2 yrs old when i got it, and the driver side door handle fell off yeah down inside the door so i had to get in on the passenger side to get access to open the door on the driver side i took it it to a local dealer and had to pay out of my pocket to repair it, the fricken screws fell off the back side of the bolts although i did had some exhaust work done to it, and went from the factory 2.5 to 3"pipe all the way straight out the back had Roush 3.5 "x12"L chrome tips, deleted the mufflers so the car was way louder and almost vibrated at idle especially cold starts anyway called Ford and they wouldnt refund my money.
You lost much time while accelerating when start at 3000 + rpm and just after start engine revs go down to less than 2000 rpm. If you avoid this and keep higher rpm the car should accelerate better. Only one issue is potential loss of grip.
it's not bad at all, even with my resonator delete (x pipe) which should make drone worse apparently but it doesn't, for someone with bad ocd like me to say that should prove its a quiet car, just be sure to equip magnaride it makes a smoother ride
Anthony Pallatta I swear the dash on my 2018 auto wasn’t honest. It would ALWAYS say 4.6 and if you look everywhere on youtube everybody’s best time is 4.6 , and I noticed that, and i took it upon myself to record my 0-60 and when I would pause right at 60 I would hit as early as 4.1-4.2 seconds and yes even once got the 3.9 claim. The auto is way quicker but that dash is just broken lmao
Great video i hit 4 flat in my 2020 scat ...its on my channel ..with my 2013 5.0 fastest i got is 4.4...automatic is way easier to Lunch thats for sure
You need to slip... ride the clutch out of the dig so the car jack rabbits forward without spinning the wheels... get the 60' time down if you want a 0 - 60 in 4.3 seconds... not easy to do esp. if you're racing someone and you're adrenaline is flowing.... You'll burn the clutch a lot till you get it right :). good vid on that... makes a world of difference. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CaSFwgaa00Y.html
Ok so guys I want a GT however I will be getting a hellcat in like a year or too...So my question is will the Hellcat feel dull or the same when coming from a GT?
@@jrf9198 Not really unless you can't read... Anyways I have a 2018 hellcat I drove the GT before even though I don't own the gt it feels faster than the cat but it you like raw feeling power get the cat. Tbh the hellcat does feel a little boring if you owned the mustang Shelby before but if you just had a gt then no
4.8 isn’t bad. Lower your launch RPM to around 2300 rpm. Keep traction control on. I was getting 4.8 out of my less powerful 17 GT with 235 all season tires. Your time is still not bad on the street. Remember the pros are getting around 4.3 with prepped surfaces.
I'm sure you probably realized this by now but your 17 GT was actually faster and more fun than the 18+ in manual due to the gear ratios being worse. The new 6 speed is basically a 5 speed + highway gear.
@@trevordollinger6569 most of the reviews I’ve seen always had the 0 to 60 really close for the manual Gen 2 and 3s with a slight edge in the 1/4 mile for the manual Gen 3s. But you are right about the more favorable ratios in the Gen 2. Maybe they make it easier for less experienced drivers on the street.
4.8 is a rather good 0-60 on a street and with those skinny tires. Put 305 Nittos on the back and practice your launch. Gotta day, your launches aren’t so good. But, getting a good launch isn’t easy. Requires a lot of practice and $ for tires.
I’m still going to buy one because I’ve always loved mustangs. However I would absolutely have to fix the traction issue as the thought of getting beat at a green light by a genesis G70 makes me cringe. They’re 0-60 in 4.4 seconds!!
@@caffeinatedmotors i really want to get a manual gt before it all goes electric but the gas prices and used car market makes it pretty hard. i’ve heard of the engine tink and well the shit 2nd to 3rd shift from the crappy mt-82 but for some reason i still want a 16+ manual 5.0. might be a little stupid 😅
@@5norlaxx you have a lot of time honestly, they confirmed the 7th gen mustang coming out in 2024 will have a manual transmission, and I am 95% sure it won't be the MT-82.
God man.... the way you shotgun blast that thing into 2nd gear... hahaha. I wish I could do that. I feel like my transmission would fly through the floorboard if I did that with mine. Damn you MT-82 lol.
Caffeinated Motors 😂😂😂. Honestly your power shifts are really good! I just know how sketchy it kinda is on my own GT so I hold my breath on your pulls haha.
BSchoon55 hey honestly you have no idea how much that means lol, i always doubt myself as a manual driver cuz ive always been in autos but i guess im getting better
My 18 auto feels faster. The 19 really hooks up with the wide PP2 305s. I live in an area where doing 0 top 60 pulls from a stop gets a little too much attention.
4.8 in a 6speed is really good😀👌👌👍 I have the 10speed and my best time is a 4.5 sec....I launch at 1800rpm... anything passed that is ultimate wheel spin😅..
hey nice to see you again man...I quit this channel because my car gave me too many problems and I honestly am not interested anymore and I am emotionally drained from all the stress this car put me through...im actually trading it in soon
@@caffeinatedmotors that’s suck, mustangs are amazing machines. Unfortunately Ford cuts and goes cheap on many parts. You should’ve learned your lessons with the 2018. Well at least this time seems like you have.
@@caffeinatedmotors whatever you're comfortable with. It would for sure help to do a little burnout to get the tires hot and sticky if you're trying to get the best time possible
Caffeinated Motors good luck to you, I just finished my case and went the replacement option as it was the better deal for me. Ford isn’t helpful at all and depending upon state laws that usage fee isn’t fun. I’m still in the process of acquiring a new one but Ford makes you work with a dealership and if you want specific options it’s hard to convince them to trade with another dealership
Caffeinated Motors I used BBB Autoline in Florida. Prior to that I was in contact with Ford Corporation and when I asked them to replace or buyback the vehicle I was ignore for 3 weeks. I didn’t want to get an attorney as they were pricing me out for 1000-1500 upfront and 225+ an hour. Decided to self educate. Went through BBB Autoline which works within the Lemon laws of the state attorney general. Feel free to ask more questions. Be a pain in their but in a respectful way but keep at them constantly and see what you can get. Mine was a 2019 GT PP1 active valve automatic. Several issues with electrical and engine stalling/rough idle.
Thomas Friscia And you swapped? Honestly if I could do something like that, I’d love to honestly, my car was built like garbage, and though i like the 6 speed, id prob go 10 speed next time
0-60 is so overrated! There will always be faster cars and new records. What matters is to have fun. The manual may be slower then the automatic but it's more fun to drive.
