Wow! Even though you say you're not comfortable wearing it, the marigold striped top with the green looks amazing on you. From a distance people would see it as a white top. I also liked the navy blouse with the sage cardi. This eyes closed experiment is great for new combinations. I haven't tried it as some covid weight gain limits my wardrobe selections right now.
I like how the clothes you wear in your videos are real, normal, typical things we all own. Not super trendy or all brand new items. Also you go to typical places, and your outfits don’t center on a fabulous coat. While I adore a great coat, I live in Arizona! Well done! Thanks! I wear bright colors together all the time. I am 60 years old and am mistaken for being younger all the time. People say they wish they could wear colors too. Ladies- you can! I think the issue is that people are afraid to call attention to themselves. It’s really a matter of confidence. Give yourself permission to wear whatever you want!
The positive about being a certain age is knowing yourself . What you enjoy and comfortably mix and match with what you own . Good video thanks for sharing .
I was expecting to know myself by now. But no. My hair colour texture thickness keeps changing. My body keeps inflating and drooping. Face changing colour and creasing. So I don't even know what size I am and what I thought I liked lst week just doesn't like me today.
I LOVE the black motorcycle boots; they will be my next purchase. As for the white trainers, there's a brand here in the US, Keds, and they have a classics ladies white sneaker (trainer) that's been around all my life. I have a lovely white leather pair from the 90's in my closet and I'm waiting for them to come back into here! You look absolutely lovely I've anything.
I have learnt that i like 2 high contrast neutrals and a third piece.ie cardi, jacket coat or overshirt In a colour or print. Sticking to it...thanks for your help!
I totally agree that you look great with a color and a neutral! The green cardigan and marigold top outfit though was an exception. Idk maybe bc it had white and wasn’t two solids. (Also bc those colors look great on you) I imagined it with maybe a thin silk scarf that had those colors plus a neutral/neutrals in it and tied in the front creating a V shape. What matters most is how you feel about what you’re wearing. It definitely shows that you know what you like, you know what looks great on you and that you have style. I’m 35 but still find your videos extremely helpful and enjoyable.
I love wearing my knee length black cardigan with denim or slacks. It my uniform because I can wear this with any color top I'm in the mood to wear. Casual or dressy. I also love wearing a knee length vest to break up the black.

Do you like red? Red always looks good with an animal print. For example in an accessory or a cardigan using an animal print as the neutral as you’re doing here also black too.

I buy high-quality leather footwear, bags and belts and keep them forever, they always come back in. When chunky boots came back this autumn, I had several great pairs already. They look just like the ones for sale right now.
I totally agree re the green and gold together - much prefer the black and I think it really suits you. If you do think it drains you (which I don’t) just use a bit more bronzer/blush if it makes you feel better 😊😊😊

I agree with you about the burgundy blouse with tan cardigan...not very appealing, really. Looks much better with the lighter colored top! Cowboy boots? Those will never go out of style. I've been wearing them since the 1970s, every year, everywhere I've lived, to work, to play, even to church with an appropriate dress/skirt, everywhere. LOVE them! I don't like the long cardigans, though...I've set aside the two I briefly owned but never wore for donation...I find them to be somewhat frumpy. You have a cute figure, you would look smashing in shorter jackets. Very good video!♥
Oh wow. I LOVE the marigold. The pops of colour are amazing. I love how these clothes are not too trendy but pulled together they look great. You made me have a think about colour. I’ve kept away from colours like yellow thinking of my skin tone but I may need to think about specific colours to get that same “pop”. Sticking with pastels and burgundy as my pop, feels to me as a bit old fashioned. Thank you. I’m going to look into this because I’m feeling I’m getting into a rut with my clothes again.
The bare ankle trend is being replaced by wearing socks with loafers, sneakers, etc. It’s a trend I love and something I always did. I just hate the feeling of my bare toes in closed shoes, the shoe is catching on my toenails, and they get really sore. Plus, going without socks when it’s cold is just silly.
I recently took boxes of clothes from the attic that were put there in 1991 when the doctor prescribed a medicine that caused me to gain 70 pounds. And they are mostly in style again!
Hi! Love your videos and style. They’ve really helped me since I started working from home permanently and had to rethink my wardrobe so I still looked ‘put together’! I too have a cardigan in a tan colour that I find I only like with a navy or denim top underneath. This season I bought three long sleeve tshirts in lovely colours from fat face, and have just bought another in a brown colour that I think will work with the problem cardi! Also a nice red stripe Breton to look a bit festive in! You might want to check out what they’ve got too! I have the same marigold yellow cardi from m and s, which I love, I like how you’ve mixed yours with a bit of leopard! X

I hope you decide to keep the tan cardigan. I didn’t like how it looked with the burgundy blouse but I loved how it looked with the ivory striped t-shirt. And it looked perfect with your brown boots! It was my favourite look for you out of all the outfits shown. Thank you for your tips about styling skinny jeans with a looser top and chunky boots. I love my skinny jeans. They make much more sense when you live in a rainy climate as I do. Wide leg trousers and jeans that touch the ground just aren’t a practical choice here. I also find it difficult to style wide leg jeans or trousers with respect to footwear; I don’t wear heels or pointed toes because of foot issues. So, I’m sticking to my skinny jeans that tuck nicely into my Hunter boots for this wild and wet late autumn weather.

I have always been attracted to bright colors but prefer neutrals because they calm me. I live in Alaska with 7 or 8 months of snow and darkness and bright colors look out of place. If I put on bright clothes, I almost always change back into my neutrals to be comfortable. I live in denim, navy, black and charcoal. I like white and black high contrast shirts or blouses. I would wear a blazer, trench, jacket or coat everyday if I could. If I am influenced by others or a trend, I buy them but rarely wear them and default to clothes that make me comfortable. If I am comfortable, I forget what I am wearing and just enjoy the people I am with. I like quality foot wear and it is my weakness along with coats.
Yes comfort is important. I'm post abdominal surgery this week and in support socks and really really loose trousers. Luckily i recorded videos ahead of going into hospital.

This was so interesting. I absolutely agree that the neutrals with the coloured items looked way better. I’m now wondering if that’s why I don’t like certain combinations on myself. I’ve never analysed it but now think I might be like you. I’d never have done double denim either but it looks good that way. I’d also have felt the same way about the neckline on your current top. It dosnt look wrong, but I also prefer them lower. I don’t really like higher necklines, but do have a few now and am getting more used to them. I don’t like change😂. I thought your tan cardigan looked great with denim and the cowboy boots, but also agree it didn’t look as good with the other top. As you say, it didn’t exactly look wrong, but I wouldn’t have felt quite right about it either. I’m guilty of probably some lazy dressing lately. I do a lot of morning zoom yoga sessions, and wear compression black leggings that really hold me in and look good, but are so hard to get on and off that I end up wearing them all day most days🙄
The reason why the marigold shirt, blue jeans and green cardigan work is because it’s the same color palate. Blue plus yellow make green. The other combo does not work (10:00)
🤔 I wonder why you didn’t combine the tan cardigan with the marigold striped shirt? Would you have felt washed out? I think that I feel most comfortable with monochromatic combinations or at least keeping all the colors in the same tone. I agree that the tan and burgundy just wasn't quite right. Burgundy is one of my favourite colours and it looks good on me but I'd have switched out the top too. The striped one works much better
I've worked out why it doesn't work on me. Its contrast. Its too low for me. Yet a low contrast person could wear this combo. Thank you for agreeing with me.
I absolutely would have bought those biker boots, but as usual m and s are out of stock in my size. I’m a 6 but 5 1/2 might have worked, but they are out of stock too. I haven’t found they restock sizes very frequently either. I’ve got some biker boots but they are higher In the leg, and don’t work the same way.
I think it works best to not pair a button down shirt with a button down cardigan. Otherwise it looks like you’re wearing multiple shirts. Make the shirt button down and the cardigan no buttons/ or the other way around. It’s more pleasing to the eye
I also think that as I'm now greyer my colours are softer so they together are too stark. But yes, a more muted burgundy may have been more comfortable to me with the brown

I've had it cut since. This was 12 weeks since a cut for various reasons. Yes too long. I have done a few make up videos. J guess i don't go overboard. I like a natural look. Some videos i am in more makeup than others i think. Today at home im in aubergine eyeshadow. I was playing with a heavier look.
About wearing 2 colors together like gold and green, or tan and burgandy,. Get over it. You’ve made a silly rule that limits your choices to some that aren’t as flattering.
