I have a huge harvest of green beans, and I need to start getting them stored for the winter. This is an easy method i use to blanch and freeze my green beans. I hope this video inspires you to start to preserve your garden harvests.
I'm having internet issues because of a storm. Hopefully this doesn't pop up twice. I'm trying to share as many tips as i can. Back in the day, i had to read books to learn how to preserve foods. LOL Thank goodness for videos.
Hey Sara, just a reminder we have the live chat tonight. Not as long as last week. 17 minutes or so. Same 630 p time. You are always welcome to drop in and drop your knowledge! Be blessed!
I'm sorry i missed it. We had new ducklings hatching. I had my hands full with giggling kids, and little fuzzy babies. I will be at the next one, for sure.
@@TheBigBlueHouseHomestead Oh that's okay. Our plan is to do that every Thursday at the same time. A 17-20 minute thing so people can chat gardening in the side box. We've done 2 on Thursday and before that 3 on Tuesday at noon. Seems evening is better for most folk. Be safe this weekend!
You do great educational/instructional videos and, YES, I have learned a lot from watching and listening and taking notes. I've even saved a lot of your canning videos to my own little library to re-watch later. Thanks for all you do! Have a great week-end!!
I recycle every single bag I have including my food saver bags. They are washed and reused until the only thing they're good for is putting wet garbage in.
I started watching this at 2:40 PM my time in Arizona I have a question. Did I hear you correctly that you pulled out ham out of the freezer and that’s what you’re putting in with your green beans then you’re gonna refreeze.
I planted 16 Kentucky Wonder pole bean plants, 30 Tendergreen bush beans, and 15 Romano bush beans. I've tried other types in the past, but i think these produce the best, and have less bug issues. Rabbits still liked the young plants, but, that happens.
@@TheBigBlueHouseHomestead Oh wow! Boy I sure wish we had that much space to do that. We only have 15 blue lakes running and they just aren't hitting yet. Off topic, how much rutabaga do you grow?
