I’ve been cooking Mexican food for years (my mom taught me) always done by sight, no measuring of any sort. It is so refreshing in teaching others , especially Americanos . the measuring aspect and final results are great!!! Thank you for sharing. 😉
Hi mama never tried this I’m from the Middle East an today made your tortillas they came out delicious . Your recipe is so clear an perfect Thanks for sharing
Can't wait to make these!!! Heading out to Hispanic store tomorrow to stock up . Have so many recipes I want to try. This food is my husbands favorite!!!!
Laura, Thank you for the reminder on how to make them! Have not made tortillas since the kids went off on their own. Since it is just me I took the work around and bought (aghast) store bought! But you have encouraged me to make them again. Mom would be so proud! Thanks for the refresher course, they turned out just like I remembered. 🤗
Thanks for sharing your tortilla recipe. My family loves to have tortillas with their breakfast! I'm sure they will love having these instead of store bought ones. Thanks again!!
Perfection!!~ Thank You So Much for showing this gringette...As a Child One of my dearest friends I went to Catholic school with showed me how to make them, and I've made them then..but was looking for a Tutorial that showed me it all from beginning to end. and your was the closest. she measured using her hand for the amounts of lard & salt... but seeing you dip them in flour & tap them on yer counter & using that tiny bit to flour yer counter...Was the perfect Tip... watching them puff..and not pressing the steam out to cook the centers was a great Tip too!~ again Thanks so much I Appreciate your kind sweetness in teaching... so looking forward to your next Tutorials...~{{hugs}}~
tHANK YOU SO MUCH. I have tried other recipes and mine always came out hard and would fall apart. The would actually crumble. I know I added too much shorting. I am so happy to give yours a try.
This Masa looks just like my Mommas . I remember watching her make tortillas when I was little. I used to love rolling tortillas when I was little and i used to do a pretty good job too nice & round :-) and now as a grown woman I can't make tortillas for the life of me. I followed 3 recipes so far and all FAILS LOL Ughhhh I don't know what I'm doing wrong, gonna try this one, wish me luck lol
You need to change the Chanel name to “You can add, but you can’t take out “ lol. I started watching your tamale video, now I’m about 10 videos in. You are a very good teacher.
Laura, I ordered canned tomatillos and a hint of lime Tostitos for a casserole that you had on video, and now I've lost the recipe and the video ! Can you help ? ? Finally after 20 tries with other recipe's and 5lbs of flour, for, I found this recipe for your flour tortilla and your recipe and method worked for me! Thank you ! ! !
text story with me and more :3 hello, I would add about 3 tablespoons less. And you will need to put less water, just careful not to add to much water.
Thank you Teresa. They don't have to be perfect. my mom use to tell me "People will not eat them round". So it's okay if they are not round. Thanks for watching.
@@VirtualkitchenwithLaura I made them but they didn't come out looking as good as yours they didn't rise that much for me. I will keep trying.Thank you
Your tortillas look great! Next time please remove the hand jewelry when cooking. Very un-hygienic by not removing. You would be surprised by what shows up on jewelry when we examine it in the Lab.
