I drive a 04 RSX type S. Made 241 whp and 166 torque on a dynojet. Pump gas, stock bottom end stage 2 cams. I actually used your head removal and head install tutorials to help me install my built head and cams. I really appreciate all the good work you contribute to this community. I can't have done half the stuff I did to my motor without this channel
So I've been following you for about 9 months. Needless to say alot of your videos and tips help my build make 267hp and 204tq on 93 pump gas. Thanks for the tips and awesome videos. Keep up the great work. The RSX is looking great.
Found this channel when I still drove my auto TSX. Let that car go and currently driving an 04 TL 6MT w/ I/E/J-Pipe/PCD mods! I thought about getting the RSX Type-S at one point too!
Good luck finding a clean Type S tho.. I feel like clean Type S's are gonna skyrocket in price in the near future. I have already had offers of 13k for mine.. 90K original miles on the body, K20/24, built PPG helical trans with Quaife lsd, and some Fortune auto 500 coils. Super clean. Its weird but my favorite mod on the car is my new Acuity 4-way shifter with the full Acuity shift package(detents, selector springs, cable bushings).. It is one of the best shifting Manual cars I have ever driven, and it is paired with a CM FX300 clutch and a CM/Wilwood Hydraulic release bearing that deletes the slave. The shifts are so butter smooth and engagement is just insanely good. Makes 262/215.
Digging your videos. Got a 2003 acura rsx type s. K20a2. Starting to take apart this week in fact. She needs tlc so starting from the beginning. Started watching your vids to get a bit of an idea where and what I'm going to do to it😅🤷
Love your stuff. Got the tip from you about the ported oil pump for my k24z3 TSX... waiting on that and my ported head and new valve train-hopefully next month! Right now I got 12.5:1 compression, skunk2 header, lightweight flywheel, hondata flashpro, cat and resonator delete, cold air intake. Dreaming of 300HP... fingers crossed.
I have had my rsx-s for 11 years. I have got a lot of great info on the platform from this channel. Still haven't built the motor but cosmetics are on point trust me lol. Motor build coming soon
You forgot to mention that you’re not running a liter spacer on the manifold, presuming it’s just the 3.5L manifold. I get that question a lot if the 1 or 2 liter spacer actually helps or not. Other than that, everything is nicely cover! Thank You Serg for the break down build! Really helps!
Been following for a while and love the car mand. I practically did the same build over the last 2 years except 11:1 arias pistons, polished head, ported and polished RBC, 70mm Hybrid TB and a ferrea valvetrain. Somehow only made 218whp. It's now blown up due to the machine shop butchering my pistons. Now using my stock k20a2 with bolt ons making 225whp.
Can u do a description list in the comments I would really appreciate that’s buddy ! Thanks and great Chanel keep up the good content its very healp full
06 RSX base bruh.. your my professor g. I currently have a stuck or bent valve. I'm disassembling the head, valve cover bolts are hard as HELL to get to. Low key think I just stripped the top bolt by the VTEC thang in back.
Your videos are always great, dude. I built my own K20 based purely off of everything you've done. (K24 bottom end on the next one!) Keep up the good work! Question, do you think cams are worth it or have there been any drawbacks in terms of longevity or maintenance?
Thats awesome!! Im glad the videos are a big help for you! Cams are deff worth it, no drawbacks in my opinion unless you go with a extremely aggressive cam
Love watching your technical videos. I have a 2003 ep3 sir with a k20a2 and 6 speed. Bone stock about to get kpro and wondering what parts I should add to supliment that?
That stock has been holding you back, sell the ultra and get your head ported and just slap the rbc on there, you’ll make more power for sure. Diymike did a frank with stock everything just hand ported head and rbc and they are close to hitting 300whp, they dynoed and they were making 286whp at 7k rpm on a mustang dyno. There’s a guy who posted on the rsx page he was running 12.5.1 comp with a 4 piston head and k20a2 cams on a ported rbc claiming he might be close to 300whp and fastest time was 12.3 on the quarter mile.
i want to get one of these one day but that much work for 2xx hp seems insane. I guess it's about the build and extracting as much as you can from it? Don't get me wrong, that kind of power NA on that fueling is impressive, but definitely costs $$$$
I really like the sk2 intake currently have a stock port rbc but might just get it ported since I still have a.c and p.s ...what t.b are you running? I wish hybrid still made the one with cruise js
Hey did you notice any significant change in vibration in the car/engine after taking the balance shaft pump out for the k20 pump? I imagine there would be but I'm looking to get what others have experienced on that matter.
I have a 2006 Acura RSX Type-S and it’s completely stock. Within a week of getting it, I noticed that when I shift into 4th gear, it grinds for a moment before shifting in, and it grinds when I go into reverse sometimes. I’m guessing it’s my synchronizers but I’m not completely sure.
Hey I was jw if you had a k24a2 tsx block and you wanted to do the same setup as you already did. Would you only upgrade the pistions and leave the stock rods or would you still have to upgrade both? And why?
Hey bro, was wondering if you ever had the stock strut bar on with the frank build in it, I got a DC5R with a frank build and recently had to take off the stock strut bar because it was rubbing against the rocker cover. Now I got a tiny hole on the top left of the cover and its leaking oil(very small leak). Gonna have to JB weld it until I purchase a new one. Also would like to say I'm new to your channel and your frank build video's have given me soo much insight and I would like to thank you in advance! cheers~
How can i fit my injen cold air intake with my skunk2 ultra street series manifold with a skunk2 RBC/PRB TB adapter with a 72MM TB from ktuned any recommendations???
Bro why u gotta tell me about all this stuff. Now I’m adding more things to the list of car parts 😂 my car is pretty stock rn but in the spring I’m planning on putting on Tein Flex Z
I have a k24a2 engine that blows blue smoke only at start up or when it idles. I suspect that it’s the valve seals. Do you have experience on replacing them?
I have an 03 RSX Type S. I have been thinking about either putting a Kraftwerks supercharger kit with a rotrex c38 supercharger or doing a k24a2 bottom end with my k20a2 head. Which do you think would be better for a reliable/semi reliable build? 300-350 whp is my goal.
i'd put the supercharger on it, it will be more cost effective to reach your hp goal. To try and make 300-350 in a N/A motor on pump gas will cost you double.
@@pyroboobysmith359 shifter springs was one of the best mods I did, the detent springs make it feel slightly stiffer when putting into a gear. For the price of both you cant go wrong.
Hey bro love the channel. Im in jersey but i have to ask will you be willing to rebuild my engine? If so how can I contact you to chat about it thanks for your time.
