Used to do this. Going to the Post Office so many times a week got really old and they'd lose things and eBay would demand tracking or I'd have to refund. Making 2 bucks per order is a hard way to get rich, my friend. Amazon is going screw you over with fees and returns. Do you know Amazon will pay vendor as low as 10% of the retail price is an item is returned or refused!
Yo My King u just confirmed what I say all the time , there is no excuse for no one to be broke now and days most of us just dwell on what we dont have ... Yo thanks for the video and Im going to look into that Amazon stuff
This guy is a shyster, these cars are mass produced. There is no market for them. There are a few exceptions, like the premium models, but they are rare and difficult to find. But if you still think that this is legit, just make sure you have plenty of storage room because you will be sitting on these cars for awhile.
It depends on what kind of car it is. If it’s a treasure hunt or error or an exclusive to one store. It’s mostly Japanese cars that are expensive and the 83 Chevy Silverado.
This guy seems like the type to go to a car meet and check out some nice car and not know jack shi about it ! I hate people who just buy these for a flip and not appreciate or into the real car culture. This is the dude that’s riding in in 98 toyota screwing your cusion
Good video man, great explanation. I've been an eBay seller for a long time, but this last year I just got into selling Hot Wheels, it made sense since I'm always buying them for myself anyways. I've done decent so far, but now I'm starting to upscale it more. Maybe I'll even give Amazon FBA a shot like you recommended!
However there is a point where people are not willing to pay. There is a difference between collectors value and resellers value. Guess you can resell high demand hot wheels in a few years.
It might help to explain that there are buyers looking for certain cars like Treasure Hunt, Super Treasure Hunt, Redlines Etc and that most of the regular and premium cars will NOT sell at all unless you list them for way less and even then, you will end up with boxes and boxes of unsold diecast because there are tons of people trying to do the same thing, so it's very important to keep receipts and return those unsold ones to the store. Then also take into consideration how you will pack the item and the fees you will spend on boxes, tape and bubble wrap and most of all your time, and if that's not bad enough to maybe if you're lucky and get a sale you have to offer FREE SHIPPING which the seller ends up eating because it's not free for them and has to be included in the cost of the auction along with the high transaction fees those e-commerce sites take as well. If you're going to try to sell hot wheels join a couple of die cast groups online watch others for awhile, long enough until you get familiar with what's popular and you don't head over to the Dollar Store or wherever and spend a $100 on 90 or so cars you now need to return.
I think it's okay to collect AND resell. As long as it's not 5x the price. You can also use the extra cars to trade. I'm new to collecting and know nothing about cars I just choose what I think looks cool but I'm now learning the value of certain cars.
Yea real collectors ain’t paying resell prices and worse of all scalper prices. We just wait because after all we’re after the cars themselves and not what they are “worth”
So just to be clear. I will buy cars from Kroger. Because there is no store in my area. I will not buy the cars from scalpers. Scalpers suck to be frank. And I will not pay people like yourself.
every car on his wall is a peg hanger, they will never sell/ this only works if you know whats hot and in demand then get there first and cherry pick the good stuff/ then you are the hated scalper!
You aren't gunna make money only when you make $2, seller fees and so on will screw you and noboby is gunna buy those fantasy cars you got hanging bro, no way. Not trying to knock your hustle but i sell hot wheels and it's not worth it if im making $2 a car. Ill spend more in gas to go make $2 a car, you can't just sell any hotwheel and make a profit.
If you use them as intended for Priority Mail which means they are actually not free I've had cars shipped to me in priority boxes that were covered over by a brown paper bag or turned inside out and the post office does not like that@@purplerangers6245
How do you know which ones are worth money? I don’t have an Amazon acct but I have eBay. I’m looking to make more than$2.00 I have had luck with action figures :)
Treasure hunts are more rare but hard to find. My husband works at a grocery store and finds them and buys them when he stocks them-which I’m sure a lot of other employees do too at other places-making them even harder to find.
I stay away from eBay and Amazon because of added shipping fees and other fees associated with selling on those places. Buyer picks up in person and I am not having to spend more money on gas, shipping and packaging.
@@simplekustomsbyeddiepapand1838 not to be obvious but its easy to say that from your computer, dont forget life tends to be more challenging for people of non homogenous backgrounds and have to do what they have to do to provide for their families, even if it doesnt seem like a "real" job to you. Plus this man never said this was his primary source of income he made it seem more of like a side hustle if you dont have alot of money to invest and me or you really are just creating bad karma critisizing what another man does with his time, i applaud him for doing this instead of something illegal really in the end.
Oh crap I'm a millionaire, I have over 10,000 Hotwheels n Matchbox going back years. STH n TH models as well as ID'S. I always get the good ones.......EBAY here I come.....🤑🤑🤑
@@DONTAEHASINFINITEWEALTH i am a clown how did you guess? no negativity just stating facts. you put out a video with false information and you are misleading people. i have a collection of 10k diecast cars and i happen to be a full time reseller so i know quit a bit about this topic. if you buy a item for 1.00 dollar and sell it for 2.00 on amazon you stated you were "doubling your money" when in fact you are losing money. im not saying you cant make money of hot wheels but you cant make it like you saying. it is a terrible business model but if you are happy losing money or making pennies keep do what you are doing. lifes pretty good man, thanks for the concern
I hope this comment doesn't come off as offensive, but it's refreshing seeing an African-American dude selling Hot Wheels instead of selling something illegal. Good for you bro
