I love how you make a little disclaimer that everyone’s walk is unique and what is right for one might not be for another and that it changes over time too. I don’t highlight myself yet. I might do it later on, but what I do in my workhorse is using a green pen to underline because the Bible is green and I write in it ^^ Thank you for another great video
I so enjoy watching what you do in your Bibles, would LOVE to see a process video! You have been a tremendous help to me as far as what pens to use, how to test them, & I'm getting better at even putting stickers in my Bible or even drawing. I'm way less nervous about it now than I was. I was just afraid of ruining my Bible, but now I feel whatever I do in it is a reflection of me & how I love God's Word! I love reading my Bible and taking notes as well I have a world bible school study edition journaling bible can I write in it with a BIC Round Stic M pen 🖊️🖋️
I have to say I commend people who are able to have a great color pen system for marking up their Bibles. I tried and it didn't work for me. I always lost track and my train of thought trying to grab the correct color of pens. I just use black for underlining and writing notes and yellow for highlighting. I am happy you are able to do it and do a good job with it. Thank you for sharing with us your system. It looks great! Blessings.
Have you considered only using a few colors. Like yellow for the important stuff and maybe (Blue or Green) or whatever is your favorite color and use it for the verses that pertain to you. Rather it's a commandment or a promise from God or a verse that you want to just reread it again. The more you read & mark the more God will open and reveal to you. He will even show you how to add another color when the time is right. But what's important is to start your own code. Because just as you mentioned it never works out whenever you try to make someone else color code fit you. So trust me when I say... once you have to color code that fits you it's like a part of you and it becomes so easy to use it. Just don't give up on it just yet. Just remember add 1 color at a time and don't rush it let it happen naturally. Pray... pray and yes pray ask God to help guide you throughout your Bible study time and He will.
