ANY MOTHERS THAT ARE ABOUT TO GIVE BIRTH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON’T GO TO NEWHAM HOSPITAL. The reason I’m saying this is because I’ve got a story to tell aswell but it’s going to take me hours to type it down. I’ll try n keep it short and say that this beautiful women is sooo right I can feel your pain sis because something similar happened to me at the same time of covid in the same hospital and they didn’t let anyone stay with me I was all alone. So 2 days before I gave birth I broke my water and I had contractions but I tried to stay really strong and tell my self that don’t worry you can do it coz I know If I had gone to the hospital they would have sent me back. So a few hours later my contractions were getting intense n at a point I couldn’t take the pain any more so I went to the hospital on the same day my water broke but they sent me back saying “your going to have to have stronger contractions before we admit you as your not dilated” ok fair enough but then in pain the day went past and night came I took some paracetamol and tried to sleep. Next day early morning my contractions got to a point where I thought I was going to loose my life because I was in so much pain. I rushed to the hospital and I was told that in now 10cm dilated but they said there are no free labour rooms so you cannot deliver right now, I was alone young and my first time, I was literally like an awake dead body that is how much pain I was in but they sat me down and kept telling me to wait n wait however I was telling them I was 10cm dilated so please help me I was crying in pain but no one helped. Eventually after 10 hours of me dying and crying in pain they decided to take me up to the labour room by this time my tears dried out of crying for so many hours and I was numb with all that pain I wasn’t able to say a word. Knowing that at this time I had already broken my water for nearly 2 days now literally idk how without the amniotic fluid my baby survived in me for nearly 3 days because when I gave birth and my daughter came out she was dried up and no fluid came out me but It was a miracle that mine and my daughter’s life was saved by god. OMG i was dying in pain thinking I was going to die but the staff neglected me soo much I don’t know if they did this to other mums at the same time or not but I was giving birth @ 18 and a first time experience it’s was very scary, disappointing extremely disgusting staff behaviour, kissing their teeth if I said I was in pain or stomping their foot if I said the hospital was freezing and I was also given expired food while I was at the hospital. The doctor was so unprofessional and stupid although I was 10cm dilated for hours and hours but they still used a vacuum aswell as forceps and then eventually decided to do an episiotomy. For those who don’t know what an episiotomy is, it’s when they cut your vagina diagonally which was suppose to be such a medium cut so it’s easier to get the baby out but the doctor cut me like I was a piece of paper. When everything was done and thank god my daughter was born safely. Without my permission the doctor brought a trainee in the room and stared teaching her how to stitch up the episiotomy, here I was dying in so much pain wanting to see my baby and she took more than an hour to stitch me up sadly. Tbh all of the staff behaviour was rubbish and disgusting. Later I complained online to NHS but nothing was done about it n then I complained to my midwife and she said “oh you know how the staff up their is”. I’m sorry but wtf what do you mean“you know how the staff is” sadly no I don’t know how the staff is and I’m really not interested for any reason I should have not been neglected however I wanted a response after I complained which I didn’t get. These lot r playing with our lives experimenting on us.

After giving birth in the Uk and working with NHS I never understand how people choose to come here to give birth or for any medical reasons. I honestly think a certain cost needs to be in place or fund the NHS to reduce the pressure. After them missing a 23cm cyst in my belly while pregnant and the gynaecologist lying to me that draining it will help and go away after it was detected after giving birth , I know better. My husband was so worried he got health insurance.

First,I'll say congratulations and thank God for you and your baby. I can totally relate with your experience, but i had mine in lagos. The nurses were in the labour room with us gisting away,this was my second baby and i told them i could feel pressure and felt like pushing but they totally ignored me. I begged them to come and check but they said they just checked me 5mins ago amd i should stop shouting. That was how i spread my legs on the bed and started pushing because my body couldn't hold it anymore. It was a cleaner that came into the room and passed by bed,she screamed that she could see my babys head and went to call the doctor. These nurses still sat there and did nothing. Thankfully the doctor delivered by baby safely. Do you know when it was time to go home,these witches asked my husband for money, when he told me he gave them money,i was so furious and told him what they did.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm so glad you are okay now. This medical negligence is disgusting and the NHS seriously needs to keep checking and updating it's protocols. However, I do think people are way overreacting to avoid all hospitals and I know I cursed and I'm sorry but it IS ridiculous for anyone to say that. If it wasn't for hospitals, people would die. That's a fact. Giving birth is no different. Most UK hospitals have maternity wards and midwife led units. If you were high risk and gave birth at home unassisted, you would instantly regret it. So be careful what you wish for. This whole systemic racism honestly really baffles me because the NHS has policies on equality for all ethnicities. They are literally going against their own rules, and this is shocking.

I think the title of the video is a little over dramatic (I struggled to understand how you nearly died). having and induction is very much more painful then not having one. You can only have paracetamol (or other pain meds) every so many hours and the hospitals are strict on it and lots of people go to the operating room to have the placenta removed. I do think so of what you are saying is partly your fault if you felt like you needed to push or if the contractions were getting stronger and closer together then you should of pushed the call bell for a nurse/midwife to come.

@Glutamate Sulphate What an incredibly stupid thing to say. What if you have a life-threatening emergency, like an ectopic pregnancy or pre-eclampsia, that NEEDS to be dealt with a hospital? Yes women can give birth at home but if they're high risk, it is a bad idea. Hospitals saves lives, so stop being so paranoid and ridiculous.
@coppersulphate002
@coppersulphate002 2 года назад
@@bunchberry9957 You are clearly just copy and paste what you think you know. I am a pre midwife student and most women who has given birth is hospital for their first baby were so traumatized by their experience that when they get a second child they seek out of hospital experiences. Additionally prior to the 20th century midwives were the ones responsible for caring for pregnant women. And then the paternalistic and misogygnist medical field did everything to destroy midwifery and hence why you and other women have been brainwashed to believe that birthing in the hospital is the ONLY way to give birth. Thanks to the pandemic women have opened their eyes to the natural ways of giving birth and avoided hospitals and they are in control of their bodies and their decision making So its seems like you are the one who is paranoid, and also naive.
