My boyfriend and I keto the same. He just started and read 0.8 the highest and 0.3 0.5 is his usual. While I read 2.1. He's losing weight 2 weeks in and I'm not. Lol. So I'd say numbers aren't the best indicators for weight loss. He's down 8lbs. I'm down 3.
I don't have a neurological disorder. But I do have Diffuse Scleroderma (autoimmune). I was in pretty rough shape until I switched to Keto and all of the joint pains just went away (along with a lot of other things - medicines, cpap, etc). Because of that - I'm afraid to let my ketone levels come down or eat a bit of anything that isn't good for me. I'm out of strips and I haven't tested in a while - but I can still smell it in my breath. I'm not obsessed with the actual number - but I am scared to not be in ketosis. I think I was just over 3 last time I tested.
@@KetoChowRU-vid I am new to Keto for weight loss, I have recently used the strips and I appreciate the feedback that they are not accurate. Much like the comment above I am nervous because I am over a "16" in the morning.. The evening .5 after a meal In your research do you feel it is normal, or something to pay attention to for entertainment purposes of course? :) Seems like a big fluctuation
you could if that's what you wanted to do, no reason they would need to be pasture-raised - again that's up to you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-drx1cAEtJc4.html
ive been on keto for 2 months...strict keto ..under 20g carb per day AND i do I.F. and O.M.A.D i eat once per day (typically around 1200-1500 cals) and its strict keto.....i cant get my ketones to go over 0.5 and my glucose before is always in the 90s and after i eat around 115. bout ready to give up on this my body refuses to go into keto for some illogical reason
0.5 blood ketones are absolutely fine, that just means you aren't producing more than you need. Some people who have been doing keto for years will never see numbers higher than that unless they fast. That's why it's not really necessary to stress about getting high ketones. Just eat right, keep calm, and keto on
@@KetoChowRU-vid so the fact that my rested blood sugars are in the 90's and go to the 115-120 an hour after eating even though i eat less than 20gcarbs/day is ok too?
I started my boyfriend on keto. He can't get over 0.8. He usually hits at 0.3 to 0.5. We are eating same but his keto levels are always lower. He's losing weight into week 2. He's lost 8 lbs.
@@cloud9photography126 I know this is a little late response, but I thought I would chime in. Sometimes the ketones aren’t higher because you’re consuming too much protein. Up your fat to 80% of your total calories for a few days and then measure your ketones. Another reason might be that omad is too stressful for your body, so your glucose (and cortisol) stays elevated which would also keep your ketones low. Also, make sure you aren’t checking your levels first thing in the morning, bc a rise in blood glucose is normal at that time.
