I got a 2012 VW Jetta TDI with 245,000km's still on original DPF i use the vehicle to commute to work roughly 50 minutes on the highway in the morning and longer going home due to traffic but its worked flawlessly no issues VW TDI has been a solid reliable vehicle since i got it used.
Also one of the main factors of DPF blocking people running it under a quarter of a tank from my experience with DPF filter the car will not Self region if the fuel is below quarter or empty
very interesting video! you mention BMW being good quality do you have any experience of the Mini 1.6D which used the BMW N47 engine used also in the 1 series BMW ?
Renault scenic 1.6 dci are inca dpf original inca la 315 000 km.
Over 300.000km, easy most of cars, properly used and serviced. Usually dpf get clogged because injectors or intercooler leaks. Other subject is most of that Focuses or Fiestas are used in city conditions where E class or 5 series spending most of the time on motorways and that's only reason why german luxury cars less common to dpf failures.
Yes on Ford not just Ford those DV6 Diesel engine are also in mini's Volvo Ford And Peugeot citron also now in Vauxhall it is a Peugeot/citron engine the DPf are low quality but they use a type of fluid that help clean it not add blue something else fuel additive acid as long as this little tank stays full these DPF will keep going the reason they break 150 K is because the tank runs out of fluid it happened to my girlfriends car still has the same DPF now and going fine 200 K on the clock I have an Audi A3 TDI 2009 never had any problem with DPF but only at 150 K still working five and the car has been remapped I notice it region more though 👍🏻
Our Ford Focus 2.0tdci 2008 DPF failed at exactly 90k miles. Shit, as is Ford in general. But cheap. Replaced with a cheap chinese DPF for 150$, still works and regenerates all right
This video actually gave me some relief 😂 coz my 2016 model f30 is already covered 340000 KMs and I was wondering why this dpf warning hasn't showed up yet. Now I know it is because of the quality and my driving habit. 90% of my driving is on the motorway and I'm no slow driver to be honest. I drive like I'm driving a beamer 😂 I guess I can drive another 100k without worrying about dpf. In the meantime I should take it to a dpf cleaner service. Thanks bud.. 👍
exactly. i have F31 2015 and i had warning light and dpf cleaning at 172000km mark. it was not completely blocked but it was not able to regenerate anymore with engine light on :/ driving style mixed roads. 60/40 city/highway. auto StSt disabled.
Currently at 315000km with my F31 and have had the warning light for the past 20,000km or so. Just keeping it going for now, we'll see how long it lasts.
I disagree🤚BMW is not an appreciated brand in Europe, at least not everywhere. In the early and mid 2000s they made some pretty unreliable models as well as some in the mid 2010s. Besides, in my (small european) country only the low class people who have ethnic backgrounds from the Balkans drive them and people make fun of that stereotype a lot. Definitely not a respected brand here, regardless of whether it deserves a bad reputation or not
