In this video we will understand 4 strategy of mahindra's sucess, How they have best enignes, Why their cars look so great now. You get to know every bit about mahindra's success in this video
No doubt Mahindra engines are reliable and performance oriented. In 2007 we bought Tata sumo for touring purpose but that vehicle always used be in mechanic shop later we bought Mahindra Scorpio 🤩 damm it is very reliable my father always praise Mahindra engines but I love TATA too I think they should invest more on engine development part
Same bro we also have sumo and scorpio and we also bought for commercial purpose only but sadly we sold our sumo back in 2017 and in scorpio we have completed 3 lakh kms of running and no issues but same happened with scorpio we sold it in 2019 coz it was 2003 model turbo crde 2.6 🥺
Tata should learn from them on how to take risk and how to give performance oriented engines as well. Especially in petrol engine department. They have good platforms and EVs but petrol engines are also equally important.
If tata give preference to performance orientation than most of the buyer will shift to Suzuki and Hyundai. Mahindra already has a performance oriented cars and only enthusiastic will prefer Mahindra cars.
I think tata is focusing on EV not on petrol and diesel engine because harrier mai vo log petrol ka 1500 cc ka engine dene wala h vo bhi petol engine 🤦 aur 1.5 ltrs ka engine Nexon jese suv pe hi accha h
@@daakuredpanda5782 not even scorpio N, He resigned a year after we started getting New Scorpio's spyshots! How can he design a car who is already ready for production but is in testing phase?? Wouldn't that hurt aerodynamics, efficiency of car tested for 1 year, it'll waste money spent for 1 year testing!
Where tata is more focused on safety & build quality, Mahindra & Mahindra is focused on build quality & safety, features & power ❤️🔥.... Mahindra is the best🔥!
Tata sales more because of Nexon and Punch which are Crossover, Hatchback SUV's. Whereas single Mahindra XUV700 needs 107-115 semiconductor cheaps. Not only XUV700 but also Thar, ScorpioN needs more cheaps. Every month Mahindra sold 5-6k+ units of XUV700 and receive double bookings. Mahindra always try to do something New and Unique by taking risk and they become successful also. Tata Motors Every Cars Interior & Exterior are almost same ex.:- Tiago - Tigor/ Nexon - Altroz - Punch/ Harrier - Safari. But if you see Mahindra then they provide different looks in both Interior & Exterior design and features also. So buyers having more option according to their choice which results in Mahindra is SUV King from Long Decade.
@@lakhankatare7630 Bhai us list main Skoda Hyundai Mahindra MG Kia Honda Ye sab hain. Akele Tata hi kamm semiconductor use karta hai? Aur agar Tata semiconductor per car kamm use karta hai to no. of cars bhi to Tata Mahindra se bahaut zyada bech ra hai.
@@dieselpreetsingh9544 To Hyundai kaha kam cars bech rahi hai.😂😂😂😂 rahi Skoda, VW ki baat to unki maintenance aur servicing ki wajah se kam bikte hai, lekin dekha jaye to inki sales kafi badhi hai. Mahindra ke jaise hi MG bhi tech loaded cars bechti hai, Jara kisi showroom me jakar pucho Astor ki 2nd slot ki booking abhi tak start nahi ki hai, Hector ki bhi delivery jaldi nahi ho paa rahi. Honda ko sabhi pasand karte hai, lekin wo sirf Sedan ke sahare chal rahe hai fir bhi sales tagdi hai unki. Aur Tata jada sales kar to rahi hai kyuki unki car me jada semiconductor nahi hai. Suzuki bhi less semiconductor use karti hai unki sales dekho x3 hai Tata hai.
Toyota engines may not be refined but they are damn reliable but mahindra petrol engines are quite smooth but we have to wait few years to comment on their reliability although their diesel are quite reliable better than tatas.
What surprised me what the mStallion series petrol engines !!! Never thought that Mahindra could make such phenomenal engines. Waiting for x300 with 1.2L GDI engine.
Let's not forget most important reason for popularity especially in Scorpio, Bolero & Thar. Its boxy design. The feel of sitting in driver seat with flat bonnet and commanding position is simply awesome. Its something that no other company in India is able to provide except for may be Force Gurkha.
Love your videos, I can imagine the hard work you invest in studying & aligning all the information. Also the way you narrate the information is simply fabulous.
I just can't stop appreciating the amount of details that goes into your content. And a big thank you for making English subtitles available. Great work!
Ya you are right but dont forget Tata is the no 1 suv maker of india and they are focusing on EV which is the future so tata is looking for future which is very beneficial for them .
Mahindra is gaining a small but loyal following in South Africa and Australia also where SUVs are not just preferred but necessary for most people living in rural areas. Mahindra is like the Royal Enfield of SUVs - old school classic SUV with mechanical parts and good reliability for a low price compared to Toyota Land Crusiers or Land Rovers.
Mahindra and Tata should form an alliance like the Europeans and bring global products on their platforms. Then we will have a car category called Indian cars which would have it's own character and abilities. One can only dream 😁
Proud to driving Mahindra two wheelers best in class engines I accept they are not good in looks but their two wheeler performance is awesome my Mahindra duro completed 50000 kms in 10 years and still running well very powerful engine ❤️
You're right.. Mahindra acquired Kinetic and it was Kinetic Nova rebadged as Mahindra Duro.. It was a decent scooter with good performance at that time when Honda Activa was slowly becoming the market leader... Wish Kinetic should come back..
@@pritamkarmakar4312 nice bro but scooter or scooty life is just 5-6 years not maded for longer run they have shorter and thinner cylinder kit and fins maximum range of scooty is 60-70 kms in a single run but bike is maded for longer run and kms
I am big fan of Mahendra, when I had the chance to get Scorpio or Innova, I chose Scorpio. The other brand these days I like is TATA, in two wheelers it was always RE.
Brother.. you are doing a great job 🙌 at the end of the day, we indians have to support our nation and our nations products.. but that doesnt mean we have to lower our expectations compared to what foreign country vehicle brands have to offer. Indian vehicle brands should stay ahead of other brands and as an indian citizen, it is the responsibility of each and every indian citizen to critizice the bads negatives and cons in indian brand vehicles so they live up to expectations of the global vehicle industry. Kudos to make such an informative video ♥️keep going brother 🇮🇳🇮🇳 JAI HIND !!
@@ssmaity_youtube no we have xuv300 diesel 2019 model and we they are more good than kia seltos and tata engines in refinement and when we tested XUV700 its engines wer very quiet and well designed
Hyundai may have better engines, but mahindra have Performance + reliability + intense torque and more. Mahindra engines are awesome specially the new mStallion petrol engine and the good old 2.2 litre mHawk diesel.
Hyundai engines are not so good either. Only refinement is better, else Mahindra gives better reliability and performance. You might not get parts of Hyundai engine at any local mechanic shop but you'll definitely get the parts of Scorpio, Bolero engines.
Mahindra is doing fabulous job but sadly, tata isn't. What did mahindra able to achieved tata didn't even half of it. Tata don't even have own engine portfolio. designs are good but again not cohesive, many elements look like after thoughts with very mismatch. Reliability, aftersale service??.... no need to tell. I believed tata don't have serious about car business at all. Can u make video on tata ?why did they failed to developed own engines.
Only Harrier and new Safari use outsourced engines. That's because Tata's 2.2 litre engine is not mechanically compatible to the platform they use. Before BS6 all of their cars including big SUVs like Storme and Hexa used to come with in house engines. That too with high power figures. I mean think about it, it took Scorpio 20 years and multiple facelifts to get a slightly better engine spec than a car named Safari. Tata gave a 400 nm real SUV in 2012!!
I remember when Mahindra tractors were a headache to start in the winter and they overheated in the summer but today Mahindra is the first company to launch front hydraulic powered PTO with front implement attachments. Mahindra tractors are up to international standards now
I own a bolero and it's the only old school car left the Market, it would be very interesting to see what Mahindra will do in future with the design and power. Great content always 💯
Scorpion will disturb the whole market I don't think anyone is in competition, mahindra should focus little bit more on its production. Love to see indian brands on top. 2-3 or indian brand mil jae tata or mahindra jese maja aajae gha 👍.
Very nice video, I had always wondered how Mahindra get those engines this video clarified. Your researched based videos are content apart and holds tons of more value than other automotive comparison/ownership videos
Mahindra definitely has a superior engine workshop. Take for eg. VWs 1.6 polo diesel. When it's volume had to be reduced to 1.5 liters inorder to take advantage of the lower tax structure, the engine totally lost its tractability. Not the case when Mahindra reduced the volume of Ssangyong's brilliant 1.6 liter diesel to 1.5 liters. This engine with its 30kgm torque is a rocket. It's probably the only all aluminium diesel engine this side of Merc's OM654. Wish Force motors had atleast a fraction of the engineering prowess Which Mahindra has. They let go the OM611 engine which they had inherited from Merc and now making do with a 2 valve dinosaur of an engine surviving purely because of the urea injector and 80km/h speed limit. Mahindra has undoubtedly played it brilliantly up until now. It does seem like the EV era has begun. There are however serious battery technology limitations. A transitional period of hybrid motoring is thus inevitable. I'm not sure if a 1.2 liter petrol hybrid on a sub 4 meter vehicle will get away with 29% tax or if it will have to suffer the same 43% tax as hybrids. If it is 29% taxed then Mahindra should go to work on designing 1.2 liter, 3 cylinder petrol hybrids. Since both the other 2 manufacturers offering full hybrid for the C segment vehicles are 1.5 liters.
Bro, been bingeing on your videos! Hands down one of the absolute best Indian content creators. Thorough research and very well put together peices. Keep going! All the best
The M-Hawk was made by AVL Austria ! Coincidentally The M-Hawk and Dicor (Tata) both are exactly the same engines with different set of tune ! Both are 2179cc .
Very good video👏 but I think you miss one important point SAFETY. Now days safety is top most priority for most of the buyers and Mahindra has released that. So now Mahindra offers almost 5 ⭐️ safety rating of mostly their cars.
"Please make a video on Mahindra's planning with their ladder frame chassis" ❤❤ "Mahindra agricultural equipment sales number globally" love form The city of joy ❤❤🎉
Very good and informative video. There are very few channels like you with proper knowledge, script to present topic in very good manner. Keep it up bro and I am hoping for more better contents.
Problem with Tata is that they're a bit too optimistic about public adoption of electric vehicles and they've put all their eggs in that basket, and that stunted their IC engine development. They can make some good diesel engines but they've let their recent success go into their head. They are still flogging the old 1.2 engine for their petrol needs. EV powertrains are, in my opinion, easier to develop than building a new IC engine, so the lead that Tata has in EVs can be caught up by Mahindra with not much difficulty.
Currently Tatas are one step ahead of Mahindra but after sales of Scorpio N open up , Mahindra will probably displace TATA.There seems to be a healthy competition between the two . The ultimate beneficiaries will be the Indian customers .
Ya you are right but dont forget Tata is the no 1 suv maker of india and they are focusing on EV which is the future so tata is looking for future which is very beneficial for them .
@@v.k9074 Yeah, no. 1 "SUV" maker with no real SUV s and only crossovers in their line-up. I wonder how carmakers gather so much balls of steel to call a raised hatchback with cladding an SUV. Leave aside the wannabe SUV Punch, Tiago, Tigor, Altroz and just compare the sales figure of Harrier, Nexon and Safari with Bolero, Scorpio, Thar and Xuv series. Mahindra is way ahead of Tata when it comes to technological advancements while keeping their roots as a real SUV maker. I was a huge huge fan of Tata but unfortunately, Tata is only focusing on volumes and their cars are only selling in the name of safety. Many owners in public forums and social media sites are complaining about quality control of Tata cars but unfortunately they are being ignored by these BS Tata fans. Ultimately Mahindra is the no.1 SUV maker.
@@v.k9074 Tata was suv maker. Now, there is no SUV in their lineup. While Mahindra has both cross over and true suv. Still happy to see products like harrier are spawning from tata.
@@prathamsalvi4027 really, car companies have gone nuts, even Suzuki S-Presso is marketed as SUV. A "mini SUV" they say, and the public also gets easily fooled with these lies. Every second person with their whole heart believes that Creta and Seltos are SUVs... Soon Hyundai is again going to launch a 1.2L NA Petrol "micro SUV" which produces an output of 84HP and 113Nm Torque. I guess going by that analogy Polo and Swift are also supercars, precisely "baby supercars". (Trust me man, they are supercars. Just a lot slower, hence we named them "baby supercars". Now pls buy them fast). And Bajaj Pulsar is a superbike.
My XUV 300 petrol giving 15-16 kmpl in city and 17kmpl. YES 17 kmpl, sometimes even crossing that in highways. 😁 And the power, torque combination of it is praiseworthy. It just goes when you floor the pedal. LOL Steering feedback is where they need to focus next i guess. European cars are ahead of it but I'm confident that Mahindra will be at par in that area too.
Proud to be 3rd Gen Mahindra customer. Grandfather had Mahindra Commander Dad had Mahindra Bolero I personally use the Tuv 300 100hp 2016 model and in 2021 as a goodwill gesture Mahindra installed an MLD kit free of cost. This Diwali we will have our 4th Mahindra the Big Daddy Scorpio N ❤️❤️.
@Bitturbomedia A major difference between Tata and Mahindra sales strategy is that mahindra always consider tata as a direct competition and major product portfolio is just an alternative to tata product like bolero to sumo, scorpio to safari, but the prices of mahindra cars are significantly less as compared to tata, which makes them preferred choice of the customer looking for performance desi cars..
Nah bro bolero was just a facelift to the older armada, they did not make it specially to compete with sumo, however it did compete with sumo because of same segment.
Changes are visible, but inherent things are not changed..! Every model launch with big start but after 3-4 years these products vanishes without reason is the problem of Mahindra.. Sheet metal exteriors of Mahindra are very unreliable attracts rust very fast.. also models are not consistent.. nobody knows how much time new product will survive..
Ya you are right but dont forget Tata is the no 1 suv maker of india and they are focusing on EV which is the future so tata is looking for future which is very beneficial for them .

but i have 1 complaint from mahindra they had said few months ago that indian automobile industry should skip hybrid engines & shift directly to ev's this is very illogical statement big suv's need hybrid & plug in hybrid engines ev's r just a hype

Actually logo change for Mahindra is a good thing! Bcoz old logo, paint choices gave Mahindra a 'politician's car' image New logo, colors are trendy, stylish
