Maybe they even fall out on their own to make way for new ones, and she was like "geez, I've got all these spare fangs lying around, might as well make something."

In awakening I gave lucina's sibling a forged weapon named "perpendicular falchion" (truncated to fit) because that's the kind of dumb geometry humor I like.

When I finally finished FE1 earlier this year, I was surprised to see that the Falchion does not deal extra damage against dragons. It only deals extra damage against Medeus.

The original intent by Kaga was to have the Falchion (and other weapons) appear in every game, which is why Falchion and Gradivus appear in Gaiden too. And why the Tyrfing looks almost identical to the Falchion. But it's clear this idea was never fully implemented.

Note that monster hunter G wasn't release in wiiu (but rather in Wii) and that crossover is from the MMO spin off monster hunter frontier the game you are showing footage of.

45+ Falchions, and not a single one is an actual falchion. It's impressive at this point.

A fun tidbit on Code Name S.T.E.A.M. : Lucina uses Falchion for a jumping slash similar to the move she uses in the Ferox Arena cutscene. She also uses Nidhogg, acting as a unmounted bow knight more than a Great Lord. Marth sticks to melee attacks with a simple slash for Falchion. His rapier delivers a devastating flurry of stabs that uses the same animation as in Fates.

TL;DW, there’s around 45 Falchions in the games, but in the lore, there are only 2 blades (3 if you count Itsuki’s).
