Okay so you most likely won’t get rich powder coating in your home garage as a one man show. BUT if you dedicate your time and reinvest your money back into the business with these profits you will be able to grow your business to higher levels. Everyone has to start somewhere and anyone with a garage can start powder coating with little money up front.
These numbers depend on your location and are not guaranteed. Not everyone’s costs will be the exact same as mine. Your profit may depend on the amount of overhead and debt you have. Currently I am working in my home garage and all my equipment is fully paid for. It has taken me long time powder coating as a side job to get where I am today. I am still learning new things all the time, but I do make far less mistakes as I did when I started. Less mistakes = more profit.

This video is just my opinion on the equipment I think would be the best and most efficient way to start powder coating. The options and combinations are endless. If you’re looking to get into powder coat, do you research and ask questions! It took me many hours of trial and error to get to the point I’m at today and I still have a lot to learn.
Roughly $1200 will get you started and then you can go from there to upgrading your oven and stripping equipment.
