How much money do WWE wrestlers make? How do WWE wrestlers get paid? I'm going to be answering all that and share how much money I made in my entire WWE career. Editor: Don (mambaatlas@gmail.com)
Is this a new channel not much content on it but really enjoyed the content I'm hoping it's not a channel that's not been left to die and one that's just started.
As a EFinance/Tax guy this is exactly the detail I want to see. You broke it down instead of "working" it & glossing over the fundamentals like others do. Keep doing that & you'll have the audience you want.
The video came out to a great pop and got insanely over in such a quick time. You should be commended for its booking 😁 I wanted to hear more about the breakdown for motels, flights, rental cars and gym passes. (People gloss over this) You said you would make $4000 a month. But if you stayed at a motel every single day for $80, that's $2400 right there. And we're just getting started!
Hey Mav did you work as a bouncer Security in a bar on Secound avenue in NYC a few years ago, but after WWE, I remember seeing you, but not in the bar from outside when I was on the city bus several times.🚌
Went to my first WWE event when I was 5 and after the show I was so nervous to ask Maven for a picture, he walked up to me and took my camera and said "don't forget to smile kid". My aunt that took me to the show passed away in 2005 and you can see her in the background of the picture looking shocked and excited that Maven did this. I will never forget that moment as a kid
That's an incredible story. I'm not sure if you know or not but Maven's biological aunt raised him after his parents passed in a car accident. Sadly, his own aunt, who he knew as more of a mother figure, passed from cancer in 2004. It sounds like you and Maven both had some pretty special aunts who are sorely missed.
I never expected my attention to be captured like it was in this video. Good job Maven. I’m glad you got paid, had fun, and that you are still a down to earth guy.
Maven as a RU-vid content creator is what we all wrestling fans needed. He was lost for thousands years and this is golden. I always wanna know what maven had went through. Especially he's probably the most known tough enough top star(not a flex). Love this dude energy.
@@sportsentertained The only reason I say that is cuz I only saw the first two seasons and the ones I solely remember Maven and Nidia and later Shaniqua. I didn't see when Morrison was is in it. I remember the miz in The Real World, not tough enough.
Yeah I appreciate this, because it's a free former wrestler able to talk about his experiences without repercussions. The part that hits hard is the more you earn, the more you're taxed. Which is why it irks me the most is that the laziest in society are the biggest critics of capitalism. But I digress, much respect to Maven!
I started watching a short with you and Chris VP, and went down that rabbit hole. I came across your page (now subscribed), and watching your stuff. I APPRECIATE YOU, explaining the compensation process!!! This is the first time I’ve seen someone showing/talking about this process. Thank you for your WWE time, and more importantly. Being a role model inside the classroom, MUCH RESPECT!!! 🤙🏾🙏🏾✌🏾
Maven - I was a big WWE fan during your run and remember watching you every time you were on. It’s nice to see that you’re alive and well. I’ve been binge watching your channel and I completely appreciate the transparency in your content. Take care brother!!
@@PowerPlayersTV He get offered from them but refused. So it's mostly cause he doesn't want to return rather than the other way around. Plus, he didn't really say anything really bad about WWE. Things like these should be transparent anyway
Maven has such a great story and I'm so happy he's here telling it. I remember watching him on Tough Enough as it aired. It was a great show especially for wwe fans. It's nice to see Maven have so much appreciation for the wwe when we hear so many horror stories from other ex wrestlers. It's obvious Maven takes accountability for his past and blames nobody but himself for his dark times. I'm glad to see him happy and healthy again
Thanks for this. I always wondered how getting paid changed after the birth of the WWE Network. I do remember reading in the pre-network days that guys would love just to be on the big PPVs like WrestleMania. Anything, even if just a run-in, would be great for them.
Same here! I was got on RU-vid and was like, MAVEN HAS A CHANNEL NOW?!" You already know I instantly clicked it! And I see his last name is Huffman. I wonder if he is related to Booker T.
Like everyone has said, it’s so refreshing to actually see a wrestler put some production value in their videos instead of just doing the same copy and paste format where they get together with a wrestling mark and answer questions from them or rattle off questions from the fans. This is the type of content that tells the viewers “I actually care about my fans.” I hope Maven keeps this up because I’m hooked now.
Can't say he was a favorite of mine, never turned on the TV and said "yes, it's Maven time!", but I always had a soft spot for him after that first Tough Enough and appreciated when he had a good match or was used in a fun way. It's a very tough business that has eaten up a lot of greats, and it's always nice to see a wrestler make his way through unscathed. Maven looks healthy, clear-headed, reasonably well-off and has a great perspective on his career; super happy for him. Thanks for these videos!
Same, but I wanted to see him progress. Was good to see a regular guy go for it. Glad he got that experience and turns out to be even more successful in Wall Street
So he made about 200K a year for 4 years before taxes and other expenses. So 100k after close to half of it goes to Shlomo and his gang of swine (tax thugs) 30k towards rent for that year or mortgage. 10k for car payment. 10K to sudden unexpected events like dog gets sick or house maintenance. 10k-20k for on the go work related for flying, car rentals, hotels, and food. He’s left with about 50k to do whatever he wants with it for the rest of the year (buying clothes, jewelry, toys, saving, investing) which is still pretty damn good to have that much left. But you better have a backup plan as those 4 years will go by pretty fast.
love the content Maven! always had respect for you coming out of Tough Enough, even with a head start in the business you still had to earn the respect of the locker room. 800k not a bad earning for the early 2000’s
Amazing stuff again from Maven. I love that we get to see the financial estimate from a mid card guy, because that's basically the average career which applies to most regular talent. And it seems to me Maven was smart about his money and made him a good provider for his family. May God bless you dude and more blessings to come.
I agree, I commented earlier on a video that Maven wasnt particularly my favorite worker/wrestler, but I do love this content. He is killing it with it!
These videos are actually crafted extremely well. Great pacing, great endings, and great hooks to watch another video. Maven surely understands, or has a team that understands, RU-vid very well. I’m sure his retention is fantastic.
Great content Maven!!! The videos ur putting out r things wrestling fans love to hear/find answers to straight from someone who was a WWE superstar! And I like that u r making sure not to put anybody else’s personal business out there that they haven’t already talked about publicly themselves
This was a really well informative, structured video. I'm glad your channel has been recommended on here. I was always a fan. Several months ago I found your intro song video on here and said that you were like a less corny version of The Rock and could've been the main guy. I can't wait to see what video you post next. It looks like the views are racking up quick!
I wonder why they don’t get royalties from the network subscription fee. I have to assume the amount they make per month is massive considering wwe network has subscribers globally
One of the most interesting wrestling videos I've seen in a long time. Great to learn about how the pay in WWE works (back when you were wrestling, anyway). The drop in your royalties is nuts!
Yup.. and your President Jo Biden and the Democrats are giving away your money taxpayers money, sending it to ukraine and other nations. The world are taking advantage of your weak leader.
I've gotta admit this. This dude seems like a really good guy. Makes me wanna go watch maven matches. Definitely subscribing. Thanks for the content bro
I'mma give you a like for this one. Honest, to the point, and entertaining (the money stacks were a nice touch, both for understanding & visual spectacle). Kudos!
The video editing and content is amazing. Never expected such good quality videos from Maven. Definetly better than most of the wrestling podcasts run by “main eventers”
Having fits of depression and down times at the moment. You was always an inspiration to me and seeing your content now is helpful and insightful. I hope your doing well. Ever in NYC you have a place to stay and best tour guide
@@sam7324because it is scripted meaning someone had to ok someone as low on the totem pole was allowed to take out the undertaker. Which says a lot about Vince's trust in Maven.
maven was so unique, he felt like a create-a-wrestler was injected into the real wwf just like we do in our video games with custom men :) maven had solid technical skills..
i mean yea, he didnt really get to have a deeper character since, well look at undertaker, he started as 'texas red' but what if that was mark's whole career? eventually he had 5-6 personas, mostly the dead man.. so maven got cut short a lil.. @@milirocfresh5491
You earned my like! I’m pretty amazed how well spoken Maven is, made the video journey not just informative but very enjoyable to watch too. Kept me hooked towards the end. Even if it will nit be a wrestling content, I’d still listen to this guy. Perhaps a commentary seat in WWE soon? Who knows.
Great content, phenomenal speaker. Not sure why WWE wouldn’t immediately want to hire you as an analyst during ppv kick off shows. You’ve got a better voice than most people on the network. Edit: Omg I just made it to the end of the video and honestly I think you can surpass 1 million in earnings today if you decided to podcast or continue growing this RU-vid channel. Underrated talent
I don’t think current wwe superstars can do RU-vid or twitch or anything like that. I remember AJ styles had a twitch and wwe had him take it down. But still it is eye opening to see how much they can make.
@@Digolebicks92Yes they can. Xavier has had a RU-vid for years as has Sheamus. Zelina does the twitch thing. There was a controversy about that that got resolved during HHH'S semi takeover late 2022.
I didn't care for him back when he wrestled. Maybe they should have let him be himself and utilize the mic more. I really enjoyed listening to the real Maven.
@@gk2370 I worked in fleet management and business to business leasing. I dealt with probably the biggest car Rental group there is. I can confidently say they dont give a cr*p what happens to their cars or who ends up driving them.
@VirgilZandig are they really independent contractors if WWE owns your rights while you're under contract where you can't go to a cross promoter, I'd call that an employer.
The way Maven structured this video with the different stacks of cash for the different pay options almost feels like a GTA cutscene explaining an optional business opportunity. Would be awesome if GTA 6 allows you to Moonlight as a pro wrestler or run a wrestling promotion as a source of income
It would be awesome that all toxic players should be kept in their own servers and fight each other there. All I wanna do is mind my own business. I have zero interest of shooting other players and ruining their games.
Hi Mavin. I just watched several of your videos. Just a thank you for doing that and letting us fans know what its like to hear from a real person who was on WWE. again, thanks.
There was a rumor going around that you hated talking about wrestling and you wanted nothing to do with the business. I’m happy to see you’re talking about this time in your life, clearly there’s a market for it! You still got fans out here man. Thanks for the quality videos.
I remember stories of Maven working bouncer gigs in NYC and getting irritated when club goers would recognize him from the WWE. Cool that he's mellowed out and is willing to talk about it now
When all else fails you have to go back to what pays … it’s like Maggie from the walking dead … hated the show wanted more… found nothing and wound up right back 😂
@@richborn6700 I mean as we learned from future videos that was his lowest point of his life and he didn't want people recognizing him, cause it just reminded him of how low he was at that point.
I remember watching you during your run, glad to see you seem to be in a good place. Just found your channel and have found the content very informative. Good stuff.
It's unfortunate Maven didn't get a true opportunity to be , a main event guy or even a true mid-card guy but he is showing life after the WWE is possible like many, many others who don't become huge names. Love the fact that he explaining the pay of the WWE.
Love to hear the wwe story’s and the info you share legend your channel has easily been my favorite to watch keep it up maven! Telling us all the insiders we wanna here
As a kid, my two obsessions were wrestling and MTV. Watching Tough Enough, going through the journey, I was so invested in Maven. I almost felt like I was living vicariously through him, like "Yeah one of us made it to WWF!"
You know what, now that I think back on it, it definitely did have that feeling. We were so use to our regulars that a new guy like Maven made it, it made it interesting because it was an "outsider" breaking into the business. He was accepted immediately and embraced by the fans.
Maven always seemed like a class act, gracious enough to get his opportunity, I really appreciate a video like this I’ve always been curious of WWE’s pay structure
Really insightful look into the business. I'm not a wrestling fan and barely knew who Maven was before discovering this channel, but I really appreciate these videos. From these numbers it makes sense why we see so many aging former stars return to the ring. There's enough money in it to entice former wrestlers to return, especially if they still have a big name and fan appeal. Yet at the same time, there's not enough that they can comfortably retire after a "typical" career like in the big money sports.
These videos are incredible. As someone that loved wrestling in the 90's until the early 00's (don't watch it really now), I find it fascinating to see how it all worked behind the scenes. Amazing.
What a great video Maven. That really gives us fans a great perspective into what a WWE athlete makes for all the blood, sweat, and tears you give into making the best shows possible.
yeah but when he kicked out the undertaker from the rumble, but most surprising for me was maven turning down HHH's offer to JOIN evolution, the way this man rejected that ONCE IN A LIFETIME opportunity for investing in the SURE thing, when maven rejected that, he lost me right there, MAVEN if you are reading this dont ignore me man, WHY you did that man? you took the wrongest decision ever by turning down that offer man! Video below: /watch?v=JNL2ff-nhSA
Still listen to that theme song of yours, I was 12 when I first heard it and it’s been stuck in my head since. At 32, I’m so happy for you to have gotten the opportunity to be in the WWE. Glad to see you are good and healthy!
You and Stevie Richards are a breath of fresh air on RU-vid right now. Thanks for doing this, I'm about to shoot my shot as a heel manager and everything you're teaching us has real value.
I admit i missed out on your time in the wwe as it seems to overlap with my time moving and going to college.i watched a bit some years after and then stopped about 8 years ago. But i started wanting to get back into it again and came across you channel and i have to say you're one of the most articulate, friendly and transparent wrestlers I've ever seen discuss the industry. I've learned more watching a dozen of your videos than i ever imagined anyone would be willing to disclose. Good to see the wwe paid decent enough for what you and others put your bodies through for our entertainment.
@@naveedhasan5365I’d say the infomercials & HSN helped him a lot more than promos did. Keeping an audience engaged & entertained out of character is harder then people think. This guy had media training & it shows. His channel is gonna do very well imo.
Fantastic content Maven ! I have vague memories of you from when I used to watch WWF/WWE as a kid and can honestly say I'm happy to see that you're making such content. The type of stuff us fans (I'm an old school fan) never know. It's great being able to get insights to the business like this dude. Keep it coming bro. Appreciate it. Hope you're well mate.
Thank you so much for doing this, Maven- a lot of us have truly missed you over the years as fans and getting to see new content from you in any form is just so satisfying.
Thank you Maven! This is probably the most frequent question most fans would have asked you. It was great how you explained and broke it down. Loving this content and sharing your experience with the WWE.
Nice to see a rassler who is * well spolen *very clear in explaining his situation * does'nt make excuses or says he forgets important parts in his career * Does not say "you know" every 10 seconds. Also a clear HD video and crystal sound helps a Lot
Growing up with WWE, and my favorite time being around 2001-2007, I love hearing these stories. It's also great to see you doing well for yourself nowadays, Maven.
So glad I found this channel Mav. You’re such a genuine good dude. Love listening to all the stories. Makes me feel like we’re a couple dudes shooting the breeze listening to old road stories. Keep this up brother! Absolutely love your content! All the best
This is the type of content I to see from retired WWE wrestlers. The earning and the realistic point-of-view you can make in the ring. You earn a new subscriber!
Maven we definitely appreciated your time in the ring and these videos that your doing now are cool not just because we the fans like getting a sort behind the scenes look at everything But we also enjoy hearing from you all overall as we grew up with you all and will always be apart of some great memories
This is interesting and enlightening. Happy that you are genuinely fulfilled in your chosen career & by your honest presentation in this video, I would say you did something unusual. As good as the pay options are , nothing is easy 😢. Thanks 🙏🏻
The fact you've said you didn't like your theme yet still use it in these videos is great fanservice. :) It's interesting to hear about this kind of stuff as I am aspiring in another field within the entertainment industry. I always find it encouraging to hear stories of a performers' day-to-day life as it helps to take the feeling of unattainablity and mystery out of that world. Thanks for this video! Awesome content.
I appreciate you taking the time to tell us about this. I've been a fan of pro wrestling for a very long time. It was actually my child hood dream to train and get into a wrestling school.
Maven you always have been a true pro. You always did business when it was time and your truly a humble guy and I have nothing but respect for you! Us fans would enjoy hearing what your favorite program or moments you were involved in during your time in the wwf/wwe👀
Maven was always a favourite of mine as kid. Was sad to see you disappear from Raw back then. Proud to see how far you come with out the wwe holding you back 🙌💪
WWE holding him back? I'm sure he would have wanted to be in WWE a few years longer lol u can tell when he talked about Vince's photo on the other video
