Subscribed brother! It’s nice to watch somebody being honest about RU-vid. The probability that somebody actually makes profit after a year of RU-vid is nearly zero. I see it as a way of documenting and sharing the ridiculous sh$t I do with my spare time. We can look back and laugh or cry lol good luck and wishing you success in this new venture !

Normal Guy Supercar feedback if interested, from a subscriber of many car channels: - energy enthusiasm and going big sells. Dde, strad, etc when you look at the channels that are skyrocketing, they bet big on their cars and bring lots of energy - don’t be fake though, stay true to yourself. My 2c is those channels are a bit too fake/staged/produced, not authentic. Maybe that’s what people like though? Your call obviously - there’s a big difference between a guy with a camera and a RU-vid channel, and a properly produced “episode.” Production value could increase here. Gotta walk the walk, “act as if” and the channel will fly. The magic of DDE was they were putting out very well produced content with high dollar cars, literally every day, that’s when they started to skyrocket. Easier said than done but is what it is. Just my 2 cents from a stranger on the internet. Good luck!

Yeah, typically that's about right. But that's kinda always been my career. Doing startups was usually a minimum of 60, but typically in the 70-80 range, certainly until they got big enough to hire people and offload some of the work.

Interesting to hear about the RU-vid payouts. I was always curious about this as a career and making ends meet. Love the videos Dan. I especially ALWAYS tune into the motor rebuilds - the 348 and Testarossa videos are particularly interesting. The best ones are when Josh is present. I could watch you two (you and Josh) wrenching on these cars all the time - even though it's probably not that fun for you. MORE TESTAROSSA rebuild!!! Keep up the good work!

Every so often I have this inkling of a feeling that I should go out and buy some exotic supercar and make youtube videos with it to try to make some extra cash. Great information as usual, as a small you tuber I can agree with ALL you said, if you get into it for money only lot of people will get dejected and stop. I do it for fun BUT if this thing takes off then so be it. But anybody getting into it 'JUST" for money they'll be disappointed. Its a process and a risk just like any other business the potential for big gains is there but you can also fall flat. I Friggin LOVE it at some point I'll get real serious about it, maybe in retirement. Thanks for putting this out it's bout as real as you can get.
