I agree, the method rocks! At 60 yo,I’ve tried a zillion workouts and this is the one and only that reshaped my Pear shape to a nicer proportion! You are right it is overall easier to just fit into clothes- a benefit! But best of all, it’s a great overall workout and I appreciate the functional movements that are hidden within, extremely advantageous as the years go by! And by the way I only fit in about two days a week because the other two I devote to cardio or walking outdoors… so even with just two days a week I’ve seen great results- for those who say they get bored… 🤷🏼‍♀️

My joints are pain-free, nothing hurts (muscles working doesn’t count), abs exist, shoulder definition, butt and outer thigh shapelier. Really in my best shape, and I’m a taekwondo black belt at 62. I want this for me as I age.

The shoulder and décolletage definition for me!!! I’ve also realized that with other workouts my “abs” used to look bulkier and like they were being built out. With TAM, my core feels a lot leaner and my obliques are much more defined creating a cinched waist. This method is really magic!

I've had people comment on my tummy being smaller and it really is flatter! For reference I started at 190 lbs, I'm down 10. And I want to keep going. At 5'6" 190 is waaaaay too much for my body to handle. The last 3 weeks of TA especially this music has been upbeat and go-getting. I find it harder when she uses slower or (what I consider) whiney music. Clothes are fitting better, but I have so much more work to do to get back to healthy. I think my body truly enjoys these workouts. (Also, I really love when Courtney does the breakdowns and 15 minute body burts.)

Totally feel you on so many of these changes-- only 4.5 months in, but I am consistent at 6-7 days a week of Online intermediate. I'm also abcentruc BIG TIME and I feel my waist cinching for the very first time in my whole life. Also had so many joint issues from years of Ashtanga yoga-- those are gone now. and its amazing. But is the best thing my smaller, firmer boobs? Why, YES. Because I've been carrying around a large load on the boob front since age 12, and it's a welcome thing to have those girls shrink! So, YES to everything you said!

Thanks, Rachel! I love your videos and your real talk about the journey. I appreciate you talking about being bloated and know it will pass. I recently started back with meta and just noticed my butt got smaller but so did my tummy, waist, arms, etc. I’ll take it!

All these aesthetics happened for me as well. How it's helped me is it keeps me engaged in behaviors that positively serve me and others. Examples: I've been disinterested in participating the relational dynamics that make me cranky. I've lost interest in foods that are empty in nutrition. I advocate for myself and help others to regain balance. The Method has becoming both an anchor and place of safety. I also notice in writing this that these are byproduct sufficient sleep.💡It is true exercise is like sleep.🤸🏼‍♀

And I have to agree about those “ick” weeks! I’m constantly reminding myself that these hormonal changes are NORMAL and do affect how I feel but those feelings are temporary

I have definitely noticed my bum lifted a bit more, better flexibility and more energy throughout my day. I feel healthier mentally and physically. I transitioned in December from years of intense weight lifting to TA. It was timely since I felt drained more and more after doing it so long and being in my mid-40’s. I gave it a solid 60 day commitment and I can’t imagine not doing it now!! Thank you Rachel~ your videos are what got me to do it.

Hi Rachael and 1queenruler. I just discovered this channel and I am debating if I should start TA. I have been lifting light weights for upper 2days a week and lower 3 days a week. I have been doing it for almost 3 months now and my goal was to finish at 6 mths. and then evaluate how I looked and felt. It's not helping me lose weight at all. I do low carb and fasting so even with that discipline I don't lose any weight. My question is should I just stop now and start TA? I am impressed by all the positive comments. I am also feeling some days that my lower back hurts even though I am careful to try to engage my quads and core instead of my small back muscles (especially with dead lifts).

@@superwomaninyourdreams3465 I’d ask yourself how you ultimately feel doing TA over weight lifting, what’s your why’s? I don’t prescribe to a certain “diet” as I do enjoy nourishing my body with healthy nutritious foots that don’t limit me to a “low-carb, protein or fats”. I’m very slender, I eat throughout the day mindfully and intuitively now better than I did with many years of weight lifting hitting so many C,P,F. I went into TA as being burned out with years of the lifting, foods, draining energy, time it took and my body also wanted the change. I’m not sore now, body still in amazing shape and my food preoccupation has almost diminished completely. My muscle has changed now but it’s different, I’m still strong and still have great shape just more womanly than before. I gave myself 3 solid months and then I’d check in with myself at month 2 ….by that time I was all in, now I’m so glad I did! It’s where I’m meant to be for right now and you know what my body and mind are thanking me for it! My two cents~ who do you want to be in the future, now treat yourself that way now! 👸🏼

ok a list here...1) smaller and toned backside, 2)no leakage when sneezing, 3) toner abs, 4) lost most of my love handles!!!!! , 5) motivates me to eat cleaner and drink more water 6). ACTUALLY AM SLEEPING BETTER TOO!!!

I've done two mat workouts this week, not even all the way through, with 20 min cardio on the rebounder, and there is definitely a difference in my body, core pulled in and legs slimmer. From two workouts in a week. Crazy. Since I'm not strong enough yet to do the whole thing (omni, meta), I do 20 reps on one side (instead of all 40 on one side-yow!) then switch to the other side, and do that throughout the whole thing, then I can do it all the way through. I highly doubt that's going to compromise my results. Thanks Rachel, your explanation of how to do the moves made me able to actually like this workout. I was super irritated with the "donkey kicks forever" which just pissed me off, and the whole celebrity affected vibe, but when you explained what Tracy is actually doing (don't know why SHE won't clearly explain it to us peasants) it made SOOO much sense. It's brilliant, and very effective. Peace!

😂🤣😂 I really do feel like a peasant much of the time and get so irritated. You have me cracking up. So accurate. There is always one move (at least) in every workout that makes me want to throw in the towel. It is amazing how magical the results are. You are so wise to compromise the rep counts.

I'm so glad you are chronicling your TA journey. It really has been the inspiration I needed to give it a fair go. I've done 2 months-ish of online studio and I'm starting to see real results. I'm losing some of the she-beast bulk I put on with years of Insanity, Asylum and other HIIT and weights workouts. I'm losing fat, which is surprising, as I'm not doing much cardio apart from walking my dog and I haven't changed how I eat. And I'm over 50 and losing fat was becoming an impossible task. I've always had good posture, but I feel it more now - lighter, more feminine movement generally. I'm loving the workouts, some weeks more than others. This week I'm often to be heard shouting 'my bummy's on FIRE, but I CAN DO IT'🔥😅

So far I have noticed areas that have fluffy stubborn fat (I don’t know if there’s an official name for it but it’s fat that feels so not firm… almost like it’s just liquid there) get smaller and smaller. I have been trying to just LOSE the weight but it never gets THERE. And yet these exercises makes it feel like finally there is less there. - Also my joints have been fantastic. The exercises hurt me wrist and knees at first so I do have cushion for those but when I am walking, running, dancing, etc absolutely no joint issues and I used to have the occasional irritation. (shoulder joint and knee specifically)

Great video Rachel! I absolutely agree with the TA method making me feel light and flowy and my whole body firm and tight. Screw that huge butts and bulky. I've tried weight lifting twice and it is not for me. In the course of 5 weeks I gained 2kg (of fat, because I got so hungry), had cracking joints, felt horrible and fat. The only exercise I like are romanian dumbbell deadlifts, they make a great shaped ass, but also not with heavy weights. Did you know that lots of models do Tracy Anderson workouts? Anyways, you look so great Rachel, can't get enough from your vibes and videos ^_^ Hugs

Yeah, the bloated times. 🤦🏻‍♀But you look AMAZING. I have those times too when I feel off and ask “what’s the point?” I push through it because I’m long-gaming it. I struggle with my apple shape but remind myself I’m not struggling. Ain’t no one complaining! I’m not the skinniest I’ve ever been, but on the flip side, I’m the strongest I’ve ever been. Most importantly, the method has become more about well-being than anything else. It’s a morning ritual that’s just about me.

Annette - you always have such grounding perspective. So wise of you to keep the long-gaming mentality. It is so true. I think people quit too early because they lose sight of that. And to remember that the big incentive is well-being is also huge.

Funny...was just having those down days myself, and didn't help that this week's new workout seemed tough. My brain just didn't like it on day one I guess 🤣 I've noticed my flexibility has improved, I can get up off that floor in an instant now (soooo important as we age), my planking game rocks now, the butt is amazing and yesss on the clavicle! Like who knew on that one?!? Oh and the arms! Basically everything has improved...so worth the money for sure. Thanks for making me think about this also...often we get in a rut and need the HEY THIS IS GREAT! once in awhile 🤣

I'm also super happy with TAM. But I don't do the cardio. I walk every day of 1h30 , it's my journey from and to work. I also only do it 5 times a week and do pilates twice a week.

Hi dear, thanks for sharing! This question may sound stupid but is there any way to avoid or counteract the cup size reduction? I am already small . Also After seen your videos about it I started Metamorfosis and since I felt could benefit from 3 of her programs I got 3 of the 4 she offers. I am switching one day glute, other day abcentric etc. I need variety that’s why I am doing this. What’s your opinion on this. Thanks 😊

That is not a stupid question AT ALL! I have always been a bit top heavy, so I was welcoming the cup size reduction - but it is so hard to tell how it effects everyone. Do you find yourself identifying with one of the bodyt ypes listed in meta? I know it can get boring, but I would try to stick with the program as it was intended to get the most benefits. And then again, you may get the benefits you are looking for by mixing it up - who knows right? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well, I dont think TA is for everyone...I did metmorph for 30 days, followed it to a T and all I got was extremely sore ankles, and knees and shoulders! So I went back to my strength training, 3X per week, and walking 15,000 steps a week... My body loves and responds to that.... So, as much as I love your channel, I had to be honest with myself! Glad it's working for you and many others... And the good thing about TA was that it led me to your channel! 😃❤️

So I actually am concerned about getting the flat butt. Especially after I heard Tracy’s old video where she basically assumes every woman finds a flat butt desire-able. The type of dancer I am is professional dance but they still want the girls to have sex appeal and I have no boobs so I do rely on my butt. And also I like it! A part of me wants to add weight lifting using Strong Curves (the Bret Contreras workout, the “glutes guy”). The only way it’s reasonable for me is if I do TA every OTHER day. What do you think??

I can see why you would be concerned! It may be worth reaching out to one of the TAM trainers - whether through IG or even the Body Consultation (Prescription Team). I think they will have very helpful perspective towards why this happens and even how you may avoid it. When I was first getting into Online Studio, I wasn’t activating my glutes the way I did with metamorphosis and I wonder if that’s why I lost it. But that is a complete guess. The other thought that seems relevant is that JLO does TAM and also works with a trainer. This may validate your thought to create your own hybrid!

UD, I think genetics will play a big role here. My patooty ( as I call it, lol ) did trim down and I’m thrilled about it BUT ( no pun…) it will NEVER be flat thanks to my dominant Greek genes, lol. I WANT it flat but nooooooo. So I say, keep trying the method and evaluate the results. If you don’t like what’s happening, then I don’t think it’s that difficult to build the Patooty back up! Squats for one thing, ugh! Lol Good luck !

Flattening of my butt was the reason i quit TAM. Years ago i started with Metamorphosis when it was first introduced. I’m petite and thin with an hourglass figure. Even though i’m quite thin i’ve always had a big butt and my thighs and legs tend to get bigger than i’d like them to if i get bloated or gain weight. My aim was to get toned overall, add a bit of a definition to my arms and lean out my thighs a little. At first i was loving my results. My legs and thighs looked longer, leaner and the best they’ve looked all my life. My shoulders and arms looked great, like a dancers arms. Towards the end of meta continuity though, i noticed that my body was beginning to look much different than what it looked like all my life. My formerly bubble butt was basically on the verge of turning into a pancake and my hips got so slim that my waist which is normally very small no longer looked as small in proportion. Overall it turned into an entirely different shape, like a prepubescent girls’ body. Although my shoulders and arms got a nice shape to them, i noticed that i didn’t build any strength, not one bit. My chest area got so bony it looked rather unhealthy. Also, as continuity progressed i found i began to struggle with the complicated moves that didn’t feel like hitting any muscles, rather i only felt major fatigue. So i ended up quitting TAM and moved on to something else. Mind you, this was when TA was very much against using more than 3lbs weighs, i understand her method has evolved over time and maybe it gives better results than it did way back when, i don’t know. I had moved on to another trainer’s method i found similar to but much more effective and gentler in my opinion. I gained more strength and muscle tone, gained my butt back, overall loved my results more although my legs and thighs no longer look as small as they did when i did TAM. If getting leaner and smaller is the only aim, TAM delivers that probably better than any other method out there. If building strength, gaining or maintaining muscle mass, maintaining curves while looking slim is the aim, personally i didn’t have results to my liking with TAM. Maybe the best might be mixing it up with other methods.

I love rebounding I'm going to be 57 people think I'm 40 my husband got covid-19 I didn't get covid- I think my immune system is very strong when he catches a cold most of the time I don't get sick I love rebounding even refuses to think it's beneficial he thinks it's just too easy of a workout and it doesn't do anything what do you think

You could say that I do intermittent fasting - I don't eat breakfast and typically wait to eat until noon. I also eat pretty clean, lots of salad and protein. But I do have chocolate every day and don't limit myself if I want something. Diets have never worked for me because it has just led to me binging. But I find when I stick to staying hydrated and only eating when I am ACTUALLY hungry - that makes a major difference.

I figured you were entrenched in the Johnny Depp trial or that may just be me. Legit. Men do TA. And let’s just say, if there was a firm scale - they would break it! In others words, quite firm. QUITE. FIRM.

I get so bored with tracy. What is wrong with me. Its so long and ugh..... help me.

It's common, dont worry! I used to get super bored too and have been off/ on with TA for 8 or 9 years. Metamorphosis and dance cardio just isnt my jam but she has tons of other dvds to try so I do those and I enjoy them much more.

I’m with Kele - it happens to me all the time! The live classes have helped keep things fresh for me, sometimes it’s a new playlist. But definitely can relate to the boredom at times!

I have found for myself that boredom an indication that I am in my masculine energy. "Masculine: result producing, manages survival, logic, force, generating, external, persuasion and visible. Tiredness and burnout is a sign of being too masculine. Feminine: Making space, enhances quality of life, internal, invisible, brings into existences, causes, allow by creating and lastly and unoccupied space." this from PAX the Queens Code curriculum. My experience with the Method is its a feminization process. Think making a baby, being pregnant, having baby and so on. It literally brings you into a physically balanced existence. I have to do something to be a girl before I get on my mat. I set up double time to do the activities where I want that energy. Giving my self plenty of time. My workout window is 2 hours. Just adding increments of 15 minutes can really do the trick. It need not be two hours. Tested it out with other activities you find boring and see what happens.😇👑

@@theinnerworkclub6060 Making space is key. Physical space, Time Space, Emotional Space are types of space. Having plenty of physical space to do your workout is different that jamming yourself into corner or limiting your space. I have a giant mat that marks the space that I have to workout and added 2 feet around the mat. Time space is giving yourself more time. I give myself 50% more time than I think it will take to do something. If something takes an hour I give myself an hour and half. Remember it doesn’t have to take this long. Another way time space could look is doing the Arms and the Dance Cardio in the AM and then doing the mat work later in the day. When the Gatherer is procrastinating and saving things until the last possible moment she bound to burn out quickly and become masculine. Emotional space. I actually wait until I feel like working out. For the most part I feel like it and grant myself the emotional space to workout. Expanding your capacity to receive has to do with making space. We have three misconception to receptivity. One of which that we will be out of control if we let someone else be accountable. With the Method I look at like Tracy is the Provider and I am the Receiver. If I allow Tracy to say this what you need to do and direct me. My accountability is to let that in and trust. As the Receiver I am in charge of the ultimate outcome. I spend the majority of my resource being my Queen. You asked about “be a girl”. This is only one of three aspect of being Queen and it’s called the Temptress. Learning to balance all three is more the question I answered. So the Temptress, The Mother and the Spiritual. When we become Masculine we are neither playful, nurturing or wise. Don’t worry Masculinity has it place and usefulness. It’s great for making things happing.
