Nofxthepirate I wouldn't call it "busy work" just because every single orb requires some kind of unique puzzle, which is actually fun to figure out. Busy work is usually where the game just gives you a list of shit to pad out the run time where you just do the same thing over and over, so it takes no effort or skill for either the devs or the player.

By "busy work" I just meant stuff that isn't necessary for completion of the game. It's just something to keep you busy between dungeons, hence busy work. I understand the confusion though, I probably could have worded it in a less misleading way.

Krombopulos Michael " takes no effort or skill for either the devs or the player" Isn't that 90%+ of the puzzles in this game? Honestly the difficulty level of most of them is really low. Not to mention the 500 korok seeds that only use 10 or so puzzles that just get recycled.

@@strangestecho5088 the Korok seeds are mostly just a twist on the collection of the ones in other games, in other games they are tutorialized to all hell but in BOTW the tutorial is just what the seeds are and who to give them to. After that you have to notice the signs and the first time with each puzzle takes you figuring out the idea behind it. First apple tray puzzle I noticed had no apples so I didn't know what it was and had to come back to it. And half of the Korok seeds are literal filler that they added to make sure that a player wouldn't have to search for them too hard. So if you collect them all it isn't a huge reward it is a gilded pile of crap! since they were never a collectible, they were a finite resource! As for the shrines, finishing them is usually simple, try doing all of them while getting the chests in master mode with original tablet powers. It makes the hero outfit feel quite a bit more earned. The game marks the chest acquisition in the name of each shrine and they are usually harder to get then finishing the shrine.

Myfuck23 what he was going to say was that it was part of a marketing campaign. The Sega team wanted a character to make it look like Mega Drive was a way faster console so they came up with a "fast" character. The original game didn't even make him that fast or encourage speed, the emphasis came from the ads.

Nadodan yeah but they were probably fully aware of nintendo like I had a Wii and 360 for my first 2 consoles and I had friends with ps3 and Wii so I like some Playstation exclusives like infamous and they like to play Halo when they came to my house. I am sure most people who didn't own a nintendo probably also played a lot on a nintendo

I was one of those Sega fan boys. I still had the ps1, ps2, xbox, xbox 360 and a wii. I cried the day I found out Nintendo bought out Sega. It will be a day that lives in infamy and the day I lost a part of my soul and sense of meaning in this world.

Then Nintendo released the SNES, and suddenly the Genesis was the weaker system again except for one aspect: their cpu clock speed. They went full on calling this advantage "blast processing" and advertising that their games were unilaterally faster than Nintendo's, and they needed their flagship game to prove it. So they made Sonic's primary advantage his speed, to try and hammer home their concept of blast processing. Also, Yuji Naka enjoyed speed running the first level of Super Mario Bros, so he felt like he could make a fun game built around speed running a platformer.

Probably not. Half the must-buy Wii U games are gonna get ported over to the Switch, so he isn't really missing out on much. After all, few people got the Wii U, so those games are basically new games for all the new people getting the Swtich.
