How NOT to say "You're welcome" in Korean [TalkToMeInKorean]

Do you know how to say "You're welcome" in Korean, when someone says "Thank you" (고맙습니다/감사합니다) to you?
Many Korean textbooks teach the expression "천만에요 [cheon-ma-ne-yo]" as the proper response for 고맙습니다 [go-map-seum-ni-da] and 감사합니다 [gam-sa-ham-ni-da], both of which means "Thank you", but 천만에요 is not really used very often in everyday modern Korean.
Instead, what you most commonly hear is 아니에요 [a-ni-e-yo].
Thank you as always for studying with us!!!!

Strongly advised people visiting korea, if you happen to lose your wallet and a korean picks up and returns it to you, do remember to check if anything lose.

I learned 천만에요 when I first started studying Korean, but I only used it once since then, and that was to my non-korean friend who was also studying Korean. I found out after that 아니에요 was better to use :)

Hangeul and Hanja are totally different. If you try learning Korean, you can see it's pretty easy to write and read Hangeul. Speaking can be a bit more tricky because of the sound changing when certain characters are together.

네 is also common and so is 별말씀요. 별말씀 is like a polite way of saying no problem, no need to thank me. 네 seems to be just acknowledging the expression of thanks, while 아니예요 is humbley refusing it.

@DBSKcollab I always thought that Mexican money looked like european money (euro) because it is so colorful. I guess that most countries dollars in the world except for the USA, are colorful. I laughed how it is more natural in Korea to get some money out of the wallet before you return it to the proper owner and then say aniyo
