How NOT to Use 3M Di-noc Carbon Fiber Vinyl 

I have to agree this stuff works great as long as you take your time while working the material. I might add that having a pin is helpful if you happen to get any small trapped air bubbles to press the air out. I wrapped my 2009 Vmax stock wheels with this stuff four years ago and it is as perfect as the day I put it on. I didn't even know there was a primer for this stuff either I just used the alcohol wipes as stated. I recently hit a lovely NJ Turnpike pothole and destroyed my rear wheel so I am about to order a length to do my new wheel. Think Ill try the primer too this time around.

what is Di Noc vinyl wrap is? is this different than the rest of carbon fiber vinyl wraps out there? í been seing this Di noc word but Idk what this is. can some one explain please!

Just a thought, mount the heat gun on a tripod (as you did with your camera) so you can have both hands available while your heating and stretching, controlling the heat with proximity. Of course this wont work when wrapping items you cannot pick up with one hand, like a car, but it would certainly make things much easier for the small stuff.

1 questions UWISHPRODUCTIONS , I now have seen how you can pull them over the edges/curves or whatever, so there will be wrinkles but make sure the go past the product and then cut them off. but how does the pattern look, does it look like it is making a turn ? or is it like a cartoon ? the outlines are there, but the pattern is going straight over them. and you said you needed two people to do it, but you could hung up the heater as well or onto vise, right ?

Would the alcohol damage the paint of my car if I use it to clean my hood before I install the vinyl?

Thank you for this short how to video. I will try this on the interior of my truck and wanted to know if the 3m primer will damage the interior when applying it to help the adhesion of the vinyl? Also I live in Texas where the inside of a vehicle could get pretty hot. How did this hold up in your vehicle during the summer months and/or did you have to do any reapplying of the vinyl?

I am trying to wrap a 1/8th Scale Nitro Buggy Shell/Cover with JDM Sticker Bomb Wrap. I am failing miserably. So am now searching the tube for advice. What I have very quickly picked up on is that I am using cheap, fake wrap, as in its non premium stuff. Its really no different to the contact adhesive you can buy at the super market or News Agency / Stationary store to cover your school books etc. My Wife has a professional hairdressers dryer and I struggle to be able to work with my wrap. Luckily my wrap cost like $20 for a huge roll of it and I have plenty left over after 1 failed attempt. I will purchase some 3M 94 Primer and see how that helps. I also have some primer pens for the CA Glues that come with Model glue. I wonder if that is similar stuff. I will try and find out :D Conclusion. Premium stuff is easier to work with and also looks better, plus it would seem you need to make sure you have all the exact right equipment. Extremely powerful hairdryer or a standard heat gun, Isopropyl Alcohol, also Primer (I think this guy is using 3M 94 Primer. but cant see label to know for sure.

this stuff is cool but with the cf, when you stretch you're gonna get waves in the design... if it could be done without leaving waves it'll look much more real

No. I apply some before I use any type of vinyl.

Ok so im doing this on my 2006 ford f150 lariat and i am doing it on the silver trim on my dash and don't know how to get the dash out? Is it necessary to remove it or how can i do it so that it looks right.

One question ッ when i want to remove it, will it leave residues or will it be easily to peel off?

I think for this part there should have been a hole cut in the center of the vinyl square 1cm or so, smaller than the bottom ridge of the bowl. Then a circular inlay placed on the bottom covering the inset seam. And for next weeks video, we'll be wrapping a mugtree! xD

I am glad to see that all the negative commenting people actually watched the video to completion. I agree I would have like to see the bowl finished but he was doing a demo of the product and showing a base line of how the product worked and it was enough to tell anyone that the product worked. For all the half wits wanting him to finish the bowl why not you spend 2 hours and do a bowl yourself and you will see that you want to stop pretty quick. good vid overall

DO NOT use running alcohol, it leaves residue behind. Use Acetone, ie; Finger Nail Polish remover...
