Feminism has flaws. Breadtube leftists like Shaun are in denial. People like Andrew Tate have bad answers. Libertarians have real answers.

Pfft, feminists complain where women have it better off, but can have it spun to look worse off with selective pieces of data (see the USWNT and their lawsuit about pay discrimination) or they will include men in statistics, but dishonestly cite only women as the subject of the stats or switch only between "people" and "women," but never make the delineation that men are part of "people."

I feel the need to point out, in regards to the "incel community's" point that there is a legal bias against men, they are not just comparing total arrest numbers and running with it, they are looking at examples of men and women committing the same crimes and getting wildly different outcomes. Insofar as total arrest rates are ever mentioned, it's pretty expressly as a sarcastic refutation to the practice of just taking total numbers with no context and slamming them together, ala the "wage gap."

Feminism instantly disappears the moment there is a barbarian knocking on your door, asking where the wife is. Then, without question or hesitation, the woman will shriek for her patriarch to protect her. Remember, Feminism is a shit-test by women to see whether or not you're going to protect them or not. There is a reason why feminists get wet as a faucet the instant they see a conservative, and dry up when they see a male feminist.
@paytonyoder1260

7:05 The argument about the “right to vote” as it’s said actually wasn’t an argument for fair treatment. Men weren’t allowed to vote simply because they were men. It came with the price of being a volunteer firefighter and being drafted if a war occurred. So from the beginning it wasn’t about having the same. Considering women were asking for the right to vote it would mean that they were asking for better treatment and to be privileged.

hate means disagreement in leftist speak, the same way misogyny and white supremacy mean anything opposing the interests of women and non-whites respectively. The best example I can give is, when you say that fathers should be able to opt out of fatherhood both physically and financially, feminists will oppose this saying it's not in the best interest of the child and the Childs interest is more important. however, they don't apply this same logic to the mothers ability to opt out of motherhood with things like abortion or adoption, in that case the mothers interest are more important. So I don't think it's about the interest of the child but to keep the fathers financially responsible, because it's in the interest of women. It's not about equality.

Looks as though this is just the normal conservative view on feminism. It's difficult to count this as a specifically paleolibertarian stance. The set up in the beginning of the video is generally what every conservative I know says is the correct view on gender norms. Most conservatives I know of who aren't teenage guys generally do not agree with Andrew Tate specifically on his views about women. Not exactly a libertarian view, it's really just a center-right, socially conservative view with the added libertarian views on the economy.
@jrconway3
@jrconway3 5 месяцев назад
Typically, conservatives who defend Andrew Tate don't really defend what he's doing, but they simply say that he's a result of the society we live in. Andrew Tate could not exist if feminism hadn't completely destroyed gender dynamics to begin with.

I see no point in caring about issues of sexism, discrimination, etc because by nature they accept and promote a leftist moral framework. Slowing down the car isn't enough when braking entirely is possible and preferable. It is better to place freedom of association as the highest moral value (or at least higher than discrimination, equity, and whatever else resentful losers come up with), and to do so means not even paying lip service to the concerns of breadtubers and those who align with them. @@arnaubasulto4448 Actually, you should consider your political opponents to be enemies, assuming you are discussing politics that matter. Leave the risking, fighting, thinking, and dying to others. But if surrender isn't actually your style AND you're somewhere on the right wing of things, I recommend reading a very short book called "Concept of the Political" by political theorist Carl Schmitt. Their comparing it to abortion laws means they believe that they have no sexual autonomy whatsoever, that they can't choose who they sleep with, when exactly the opposite is true. Women will always be chased by a disproportionate amount of men, so they have the luxury of choice men couldn't even dream of. This is why we need to educate girls about the differences between men and women in the sexual marketplace. As things are now, they grow up thinking that this is just the standard of human behaviour, and so they end up being frivolous with their decisions

@black-aliss
@black-aliss 11 месяцев назад
This is really helpful, actually and you rarely see an honest attempt from men to find a middle ground between the three camps you pointed out. And virtually never from women. Even when you become aware of the ideology's failings and its implicit disdain towards femininity, you feel you need to double down and keep your mouth shut, and trust it'll get you where you need to be. What it has got us instead is the normalisation of prostitution, the erasure of our identity and relations between the sexes being reduced to cynical power games. I'm now not even sure second wave feminism had good intentions for women, it was always supposed to segue into gender ideology. What we need is to come to terms with what femininity and masculinity mean, but people who are attempting to do that routinely get shit on in the mainstream. Most women or men don't get to hear what they say.
@zolarczakl6815
@zolarczakl6815 11 месяцев назад
The way I see it, the second wave was a push to try and strip women of their innate differences to men (part of the blank slate theory "existence precedes essence"), get them out of domestic life and into the workplace to both boost the productivity required by a materialist liberal society (and subsequently post-liberal societies like socialist ones) in order to thrive as government increasingly expands to all areas of society (creating tougher conditions in the process, but then also promising to fix them with increased welfare and social programs, which just continue the cycle of making things harder for everyone, followed by more promises to do more etc etc), convince them to be able to pursue both career and family as well, (while having to usually send their kids off to get raised by other people) in order to create obedient little worker units who mostly act to halve the pool of wages while doubling the workforce which enables enhanced government power and corporate monopolization to occur simultaneously...
@urgadurga
@urgadurga 10 месяцев назад
I absolutely agree with you. I'm always baffled when modern feminists insist that prostitution is somehow "sexually liberating" because now they'll be the ones objectifying themselves as a piece of meat for the pleasure of men. I've had waaay too many arguments with people claiming to want "female empowerment" where I go "Idk I think we should send the message to young women that maybe they can strive for great achievements like becoming doctors or scientists and not... starting an onlyfans at 18?" then I'm just met with the classic "Oh so you want to police women's bodies you misogynist?" despite never mentioning a legal ban or anything. And like you mentioned, the demonization of femininity and masculinity, except when it's a feminine man or masculine woman, then it's amazing. Like people will shame women who want to raise children as being "brainwashed servants of the patriarchy" and all wives are "domestic slaves", then go on about how liberating having sex with 50 different guys is. It's bizarre and clearly damaging considering how society is experiencing a collective mental health epidemic. You can't even mention these things without someone just shouting over you that you're a misogynist, despite trying to help women because you feel they might be suffering as a result of this stuff, apparently that means you hate them?

My favorite definition of paleolibertarianism is libertarianism that recognizes an amoral society will lead away from libertarianism, thus for a society to be truly and sustainably libertarian, there must be a moral backbone. Or in short, libertarian laws and moral foundations are inseparable.

Basically libertarians need to have answers to social and cultural problems other then "well it doesn't effect me personally in an immediate way, so I don't care". Because the actions of individuals in a society actually do effect broader society. And we have to stop pretending like this isn't the case. This doesn't mean we have to make everything illegal. I like the video but there’s one issue I have. When did the definition of egalitarianism change? It used to run hand and hand with meritocracy, but now when I look it up it’s full of nonsense about wealth distribution and equity. I think within the last 10 years the word has been bastardized.
@andrewkandasamy

This is true of a lot of political sides and movements. Many defenders of these movements are only defending them based on how the movements used to be and represent rather than how they are now. Much disagreement is caused by people refusing to acknowledge that the thing that they once stood behind has changed and no longer represents their position.

You sure by the old definition you aren't refering to Equality? In the sense of that word having to do with the equal natural rights that apply to all humans (which would result in natural hierarchies and meritocracy) rather than the modern "equity" uses of the word.

No, he's right. Egalitarianism used to be almost entirely synonymous to Laissez Faire except that LF only applied economically (non-restrictive in a legal sense). I don't know what it means now, I've heard it used a hundred different ways and seen several different dictionary definitions. Other words that are similarly useless due to the constant changing of their definitions include "liberal, woke, fascist, NAZI and feminist." It's all part of the left's word games. The purpose is conflate the meaning of political words so that people can't tell what any politicians are supporting amd are thus more likely to vote for nonsense.

@@qq-wy7zs That's a possibility as well, given how Liberal especially has changed so much that it now basically means the polar opposite of what it used to, hence why classical liberal was made to distinguish the old meaning from the new ones. Misogyny never was a problem until society chose to give women responsibilities they never wanted any accountability for. Now they are expected to be as responsible as men but fail in large part at the task. This harms the men who invariably are made accountable for the women's actions 'for the good of society' and to pick up the slack. This is really the only place the resentment of women can come from. I'm not counting the phenomenon of the poorly-named 'incel' in this because it's a subsequent effect but also because this amount of sexual liberty is wholly unnatural -an effect of The Pill. Resenting it is normal. It's sad when you consider that 'incel' used to be called 'Forever Alone' because that's what those men were truly afraid of. It became warped into 'incel' in order to mask the romantic desire of those men, make it crass by equating it solely with sex, and then judging them implicitly for their inability to 'get some'. Yet in reality $200 gets you some anywhere, anytime. Which is why 'incel' as it's currently defined is nonsense -it doesn't exist. But 'Forever Alone' still does. Of course, 'Incel' implies that a man isn't good enough for women. Yet, 'Forever Alone' implies that some people are so strange that no one is capable of loving them. This shifts the burden enough to damage the notion of women being the 'fairer sex' or the 'more loving/compassionate sex'. When millions of men, creeping onto a majority can't find love, it calls into question whether women lost their ability to be so loving or if they ever truly were. 'I'm unwilling to try for love with somebody I'm not incredibly attracted to,' is what somebody less concerned with the companionship would say. 50 years ago we'd stereotype this as a male sentiment and the opposite as a female one. Taking all of this into account leads to the inevitable idea that women are made great by a lack of liberty, not an abundance of it.

There are some feminist "researchers" claiming that misogyny has existed in all cultures for centuries, even millenia. Some dude wrote a book about it, I forgot his name. A good proof that many men feel lonely is that lot of sex workers in their online profiles are actually offering GFE which means "girlfriend experience". Speaking about 'Murica, isn't it illegal in many places? Even in some European countries that follow the "Nordic model". Women can legally offer sex work but men can get arrested for paying for it (how f**ked up is that).

Why do you think welfare became the third wheel of politics and is impossible to get rid of in current conditions? When a dependent class is 51% of the vote and pay less in taxes, will you just convince them to be responsible? I agree with most of what you say, but unfortunately this isn't about having the same legal rights but using social punishment. It's in their self interest and in your disinterest. If you let a child vote but make it be frowned upon unless he is mature that won't stop them from voting for stupid stuff that is going to bite everyone in the ass. Simple as.

This is the big problem whenever I see people making the arguments for "some women are stronger than men!" The problem is they're just lying out of their asses. I've seen examples of high-level women's sports teams losing out to teenage boys. Women can be athletic, but they don't come anywhere close to a man's level. Weak men can be weaker than some women, no doubt about that. But all these arguments are completely missing the big picture.

It is a maladaptive fit for our species and the constant grind of sexual selection basically nips it in the bud with each generation. We as men do need to solve these issues but it is best done by grassroots change on an individual or community level, not by attempting to whine in an organised fashion a la feminists. To put it another way the underlying power of feminism lies in male simpery (and is therefore fuelled by male resources, given somewhat willingly but at the expense of future generations of men). Are you arguing that the judicial system isn't more often biased in favour of women? Sure, women are less likely to commit crimes, but even when they do, on average they'll have it better at every step of the judicial system. When they're found guilty, they're less likely to receive penalties. Women tend to get lighter sentences for similar crimes and will usually receive milder investigations, hearings etc. than men. Their sentences are usually shorter and they're more likely to get out on bail or be released early on good behaviour. This may be related to most legal workers being male and men generally being more lenient towards women than other men, women usually being considered as more important for children than men and innate differences between men and women, but it's a thing and not just some incel conspiracy theory. If you disagree with the general premise here, I'd ask you to elaborate.

I think the only people that could deal with female decadency with you're paleolibertarianism solution would be the Japanese; and maybe other peoples of the orient. Due to their natural sensitivity towards social pressure and their ever present sense of of the feelings of the broader community. How most folk of the world handle their personal emotional state when contrasted to the community's emotional state isn't one of outright subservience to the latter, but rather to please the former as much as is allowed. What I'm saying is that most people put pleasure before cultural norms that have no outright repercussion when broken. So while this paleolibertarianism solution may help with stuff like affirmative action, it doesn't properly tackle sexual liberation. I haven't watched all your videos, and don't know if you're fine with sexual liberation, but if you are then I guess your solution would work for you.
@Apostate_ofmind
@Apostate_ofmind Год назад
'sexual liberation' is disatrous for women, and has been one of the reason we are where we are. It has such a gender neutral name, that it hides what it is: "women acting like men regarding being casual about sex'. But women cant be casual about sex, because we can get pregnant, and its something wired in, not even contracceptives can address it. It shapes our very behaviour. And men being casual about sex is almost as bad, leaving women alone with children (veery bad), and stripping all meaning and 'holyness' from the very most central thing about existence: reproduction. It becomes just another form of entertainment, exchanged like handshakes and something you can purchase, instead of being the climax (pun intended) of a deep romantic relationship that has the goal of creating a family (the core of society, i might add).
@GBDupree
@GBDupree 11 месяцев назад
@@Apostate_ofmind Exactly, had women simply continued to condemn promiscuous and unfaithful men, rather than support their actions by joining in, then they wouldn't be in the position now where men almost exclusively see them as sex objects to be unfaithful to, or see them as so unfaithful that they should be avoided and replaced by faked impersonal relationships. Its degeneracy in response to degeneracy, leading to each party trying to outdo the other, while losing more respect for each other. And now those that want devoted relationships can't find someone that hasn't already cucked them or won't likely in the future.

I know you were just giving the over simplified version of chat bots but your explanation is how they tried to do it before we got better with neural networks and machine learning. Your explanation is how someone might try to hand craft a chat bot but modern language models aren't hand crafted. They are taught. I'm not at all implying it's conscious. It's still just a statistically driven mimicry of human speech and it is based on real human language examples from the internet like you said. But it isn't looking up examples to piece together. It's creating new ones that are nebulously similar. I say nebulous because no one knows what the different parameters change. They don't need to though. They just need to have a system to evaluate responses that are better or worse than others and give it feed back to "learn" with ie tweak the parameters. I don't think it changes your main point at all. They aren't "thinking" they are just imitating. But I do think there's a big difference in how they function and it's good to understand it. The neural network approach is a lot like how our brains function as far as we understand them anyway. Or at least they are similar to basic general neurons but our actual neurons display differentiation and specialization. There are ones really good at keeping standardized periodic firing which we use to handle timing and rhythm for example. I just think it's important to bring up the difference because they ARE miles closer to an artificial brain than a system like you described. And while it's very obvious we haven't created consciousness or generalized intelligence yet it's much much closer than what you described. It would be like the space shuttle as a big wagon people ride in to see the moon. We're talking about two widely disparate generations of a technological idea.
@Joshua_Griffin

It's sad to see the manosphere referred to as basically a bunch of pick-up scammers. Back in the day (roughly a decade ago) things were different. The manosphere was a place for learning and philosophy. Now most of the great minds have left the Internet (rightfully so), practicing what they preach. All that is left are these pretenders.
