France actually has 183 days every year whereas Spain only gets 182 days on non leap years and gets the “extra” February 29 to make it 183 days every 4 years. So France actually gets the island for longer 😄🇫🇷
Andorra is kinda similar, but not exactly the same. During six months a year, the Chief of State in Andorra is the President of the French Republic while the other half of the year it is the Bishop of the Seu d'Urgell (Spain).

France won many conflicts against Spain during the 16th and 17th centuries, pretty much signing the death certificat of the spanish tercio and cementing its hegemony in Europe. France conquered Franche-Comté and parts of today's northern France (Treaty of the Pyrhenees).

one thing they left out is that spain and france have been doing this for centuries the way it goes is that for 6 months spain owns it while the other 6 months france owns it.
It's a shame that the video doesn't explain why the island is shared between France and Spain like this. It's an important historical place. It is where diplomatic negotiations were carried out for peace between the two countries and also exchanges of members of the two royal families.

“Because of their conflict …”?? Russia invaded Ukraine, it’s not just a conflict. Double check at least Google Maps to get to know where Ukrainian boarders are (means Crimea peninsula).
No one lives there and is not open to the public, so the probability of someone being born there is vanishingly small, so probably there's not even a protocol in place for that.
