The modern game of golf is changing rapidly. If you're not already hitting it at least 270 yards off the tee, the next 5 years are going to be devastating for you.
That's because the modern rotary swinger of the club is generating incredible speed through dynamic loading that automatically leads to a very powerful and fast sequencing of the downswing.
If your swing feels mechanical, position oriented and static and you want to feel athletic, fluid and natural again, you must watch this video!

If you're trying to learn the golf swing through a bunch of different positions and wonder why your backswing now looks good but your swing still sucks and you've lost speed, this video answers all your questions and will have you moving like an athlete again: rotaryswing.co...

Excellent video. Camera angles from behind are very helpful.

Very helpful instruction as usual CQ! Could you do a analysis of Steve Stricker's swing? It would be helpful because it's so simplistic and smooth, yet he still drives it around 300yds. I always wondered how he generates speed & power. Thanks in advance, I really love what you're doing on YT!

I think the most important thing you can learn from this video is how each players skeletal structure and biomechanics are different, however they all are great!

Nice to hear a younger guy actually admit that Jack was slightly better. Not only in majors won but many more runner ups in majors and other tournaments than Tiger albeit Tiger has him on total golf tournaments. Jack also didn’t play as much. Finally, Jacks competition was a least equal that is, if you count all the majors won by his competition vs Tigers, the tilt clearly goes to Jack. I’d love to see him play with modern equipment in his day. 400 yard drives? He hit it 350 with the persimmon heads and balata balls.

Noticed that both Player and Palmer had their trail foot pulled back off line at set up. And Palmer's left wrist at the top of the swing......is this where Dustin Johnson got it?

Gary Player was actually a very long hitter for a guy 5'5" and 150 pounds. The other two guys were pretty big fellows by comparison. Player hit a strong draw on purpose trying to get everything he could out of his body.

That's kind of eye opening. So you're saying if i shift weight...im doing it wrong..i need to just shift pressure...and if ive shifted weight a lot my whole golfing life.. This is going to feel like I'm not hardly doing anything at all..and 80-90* of being on my left side is PRESSURE and NOT WEIGHT...and is probably the reason why no matter how much i rip the hips open..on camera it isn't there..and into the release that some "pressure" back on the right is ok... You don't have to be 98.9* on the left...but it's pressure and not weight..and into the finish..my "weight" will be on the left due to mass and forces pulling me there..and during the swing..my WEIGHT should be very centered and pressures bouncing fast which will feel like very little compared to shift all right then Left?? The feeling is actually VERY light on the feet but it's all a percentage of pressure based on what IS between the two feet and not body weight?

Yep, you got it! "Weight shift" is generally a lateral move which does little to produce speed at all, especially when compared to rotation. The downswing needs to happen FAST and there's simply not enough time to shift laterally and rotate very quickly - one will generally win out over the other. As you've found, there's not enough time for you to get your hips open if you have a big lateral shift. The modern player, and the greats of the past, have largely been rotators. The lateral drive of the 70's is long gone. You can move pressure VERY quickly, weight (mass), not so much.

It seems like the "pelvic shift" is a result of rotating around the trailing leg on the backswing and then rotating around the lead leg on the downswing...
