I have never done a Story Time video before, so this was very new experience for me.

this actually made me tear up a little. I'm proud of you for being so honest and open about all of this, and I'm especially proud that you streamed the process of making this video and let so many of us in on what you were going to tell us. the editing is top notch, some of the jokes made me pause the video so I could laugh at them without missing anything, and the way you explained Amy's story just made me feel like I was sitting next to little Callie watching her play through the game. I feel like everyone who plays video games has a story about how much a certain game and character mean to them, and those stories deserve to be told (though this is not the place to talk about mine so I won't tell it). thank you for sharing your story with us.

I'm not really a person who knows ANYTHING about transgender... ing... probably because I'm just 15 and live in a country so overshadowed you might as well call it shadow the hedgehog 2. (no seriously Uruguay is only known if you love soccer or round countries) but seeing that trans people have problems that I never thought of is like... I don't know.... finding out your favourite game on the Wii was shovelware. I dunno. it's surprising and gives out questions. but I guess in the end it's ok. where was I going with this..? oh yeah. be who you want to be not who you are told to be or are supposed to be. feel like you are a girl and not a boy or vice-versa? go for it! it'll be better than not doing it in the long run. i recently came out to myself as a trans male, and seeing this from your perspective honestly just helps me know that even though im actually a boy, it doesnt mean i have to drop everything feminine i do! i have the same problem younger you did, thinking because you wanted to be a girl,(in my case, a guy) it didnt mean everything you did had to be feminine! the first game I had with a strong female character was a game called age of mythology which was way better than it had any right to be. At some point you end up in Egypt where you meet Amanra and she basically tells these strangers to star setting up defenses if they don't want to die. After worlds she joins the party and fits so well with the group as a leader she even ends up saving the rest of the hero's at one point. There's no mention of her being weaker because she's a women or anything and the conversations between her and ajax are a treat check out the cutscenes sometimes I think it honestly helped me treat people like people no matter how they looked acted or if they were a man women or otherwise

It's just wonderful how ONE fictional character changed your life, giving you the courage to let out who you really were, personally, discovering Sonic for the first time only got me growing up with the series and that's it, but seeing Amy make you who you are now got me to like her even more than i did before as a character, and i'm really glad i found your channel to hear this story, plus all the time and effort put into this video has resulted in your best video ever! I actually once met a transgender. He was my English teacher in early high school, I think, and he was the youngest teacher I'd ever seen. He was a cool guy. I may not be transgender, or any part of the LGBTQ+ community, but I respect and support you and the whole group, and I always will. The story was amazing, and I enjoyed both the feels and the funnies. Jewel's art was also a very nice touch. Your videos are, and always have been, great. This may sound odd, but while I don’t have any gender, well, “differences”, but I live a similar life to your childhood. This may sound selfish, seen as all I have is a bunch of minor conditions, but then there’s my autism. That story was so relatable and awesome to watch... Great job ^^ Video games were also a big part of my childhood... For my case I was able to meet new great friends over the Internet and I also think that this is really REALLY awesome.

Heya Callie! I’m also trans mtf at age 14, soon to be 15 and I’m going through much of what you’re going through myself. Your a great inspiration and I wish you luck for having the courage to come out yourself, so far I’ve only come out to my close friends and partially to my parents but they don’t fully understand. Anyway I just wanted to put this out there. Great video as always Callie, also love the music it feels really matching.

First off, this is such a sweet story, I love that you were able to find comfort in Amy, she's an awesome character from what I've heard! (I'm not that caught up on the Sonic series) But secondly, maybe it's the way you draw your avatar, or it's just your voice, but you FEEL like a Sonic character !! You have a confidence and swagger about you that I feel like only Sonic characters have, and I love it! Loved the video btw! 💕

the first time a character truly resonated with me was NiGHTS from NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams she made me realize that I was a girl for the first time ever. Sadly I didn't ever get to play past the first level because my dad took it from me for whatever reason. but I will forever correlate that game with me finding who I was.

This is a great video! Not only is your story incredibly wholesome and heartwarming, but I loved the humor, especially the visual gags and drawings. The Sonic 3D Blast bit killed me. And I must say, I mained her in SA2B's multiplayer as a kid and you're absolutely right about her being overpowered. xD My friend always wanted to play as Sonic and Shadow, but he was really missing out.

Watching this was really eye opening and making me think of the Sonic franchise in a new light. Also, it's always cool when one of your favorite RU-vidrs likes the same games as you do; but hearing that those games empowered them to be who they are today is just something special. Like the greatest band said at the end, "It doesn't matter who is wrong or who is right."
