this is how they made yu gi oh cards

I've figured out why Gus is so good at making videos... he literally captures the pure essence of old youtube the kind of videos you'd watch laugh at and then go back to watch later and its still funny i dont know how else to explain that feeling. its like seeing a funny clip showing your friend at lunch in the library and then going home to watch it again and still thinking its hilarious

Actual Cards: 0:12 "Metal Dragon" or "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon" 0:25 Some sort of fusion of "Swarm of Crows", "Rocket Arrow Express", and "Madolchepalooza" 0:42 "Summoning Swarm". There's also at least 10 individual bee/wasp cards. 1:06 "Ghost Beef" 1:30 "Marshmacaron" 1:54 "U.A. Playmaker" throwing "Madolche Hootcake's" hat at a building 2:24 Umm... "Instant Fusion" represents ramen noodles... they haven't really gone this far yet. 2:46 "Malicevorous Fork" 3:05 No pinto representation yet, but "Jerry Beans Man" is a fan favorite (and not the only sentient bean card) 3:26 "Javelin Beetle" is clearly clenching up as it prepares to rip a big one 3:53 and 3:59 "Worm Ugly"

There's a Yu-Gi-Oh card called 'An Unfortunate Report' and when you play it all it does is cause your opponent to perform their next battle phase twice. Now I don't play Yu-Gi-Oh, but I can't possibly fathom what kind of wildly niche situation this card would be good for, and how the player would know they were about to face that specific wildly niche situation.

Is it a trap card? I could see it being useful with magic cylinder where somebody attacks you and they have to do it 2x then take 2x as much LP from the magic cylinder

Magic cylinder only works once in that it's not a continuous trap card, when you use it, it's gone. However, there are literally thousands of cards and some could definitely utilize a second battle phase if the deck is built for it and have cards such as Magic Cylinder that punishes you for attacking, your opponent would likely be forcing you to attack with some magic, trap, or monster effect, otherwise it would be obvious that it's a trap and you would end the second battle phase immediately without attacking. It might be a niche strategy, sounds like an irritating strategy.

Fun fact: there are 3 cards that can make a battle phase happen twice. Thanks to these three, there are 1000+ cards that say "during *each* battle phase" instead of "during the battle phase".

Honestly, as someone who never watched the series as a kid, trying to watch a single episode as an adult is an experience that’s somewhere between having a stroke and reading a young-adult novel that was translated into Russian and then back to English by someone who barely speaks either language.
