Great points. Written in my notebook already. I believe luck is completely in ones attitude. I always try to punch above my weight and I feel that it brings luck. Smile, be helpfuI, never be a victim and notice the small lucky things that happen and appreciate them.
Define luck for yourself. Take advantage of opportunities Be open to change Embrace "small wins Avoid behavior loops Be positive and generous with your time Make your own deadlines Believe in your goals Follow through Raise your expectations Work smarter, don't work harder Be proactive Be assertive Be enthusiastic Surround yourself with supportive people.
Point 4 - look up - really reminded me of the Dan Sullivan's suggestion to leave 30 percent of your day unscheduled in order to see which opportunities are around you instead of only focusing on what's in front of you. Great video as always Conor.
Reciprocity at work was great. People always say it's my job and forget to label it. I always say you owe me one but "I know you would have done same for me" was amazing.
I considered lucky sometimes. now looking back at them, I see how these 4 rules make sense. Pretty much these things combined helped me out being lucky. Thank you so much for the video
I always like the way he beautifully uses PAUSES in his interactions... His great 'pauses & stress' hv helped him to make him more emotional & dramatic in his speeches & presentations... I really get excited everytime he makes a pause as something exciting is going to happen.... GREAT PUBLIC SPEAKING TECHNIQUE TO FOLLOW.
Rule number 3 really concerns me, I never labelled my kindness instead I destroy it. may be I need some trainings about labelling. Greetings from Somalia. Thanks my prof 🙏
Excellent and shared generously as always, thank you Conor. Not only up to the point as always but the small in number points are so well and accurately targeted....great staff!
Great as usual Connor!! Mostly the 3rd point. I just need think and find the words ("labels"). I would add that is not only when you do "a favor", but also when you put some special effort when completing a job, a document, a training,... you need to know how it went, not just move to the next thing! Enjoy your quarantine in Barcelona :-) Shortly we will be allowed to go out!
Thanks Conor. I believe luck is more 'preparation meeting opportunity' which is what connection and trying again is...the harder I work, the luckier I seem to get...💪😊💪
❤❤❤ thank you, Conor....your advice is so valuable and useful for me to improving my speaking skill, beside that, I learnt how to maintain healthy relationships ❤ I appreaciate what's you bring to your subcribers ❤❤❤
Very useful information prof. I am going to apply what I learn from you, point number 2 : Try anyway. Not everyone would agree with the following but I give a go anyway. I am trying to convince everyone here that eating humanely is also a way to improve luck. I am a living proof that my luck in life improved ever since I stop eating meat e.g. stalled projects were no longer stalled, earning more from my job, ...etc. In fact I strongly advise a global ban on meat because failure to put an end on needless killing of animals whether raised domestically or wild life will bring bad karma to everyone on Earth. Think about it, why so many conflicts in our world and even war? Who would want humans to perpetually kill each other? Answer: Animals tortured and/or killed for food. They know if they are under the control of human, their life is doomed unless there are very authoritative animal protection groups intervene and launch a global ban on meat but such groups still have not quite manifested. The cause of conflicts and even war have much to do with the food we eat these days. We should really ban meat on our diets. Torturing and killing animals for food is a way to bring about karmic creditors to the human race. We even have a term for it in Chinese 冤亲债主, which means lingering vengeful spirits that are always waiting for opportunities to strike back at their meat eaters. That 's why meat eaters have mysterious diseases or illnesses, not doing well in their life and other mishaps. Not only is killing animals the cause of war and conflicts, it is also the cause of earthquakes, tsunami, droughts, and other disasters. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HnLg00_erZ0.html Eating meat is not nutritious or healthy for all of us. These are all lies. It is more about $greed than health food. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R9hPIMqb-cI.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ra0_m6PhwE0.html So please make a change of our eating habits and exclude meat from our diets. There should really be a global ban on meat. With that said, meat business should look into vegan-related businesses, they are very lucrative and bring no bad karma to the world. For those who have been meat eaters, try listening to or chanting/reciting some Buddhist sutras like the Compassion Sutra. Sutras can help you eliminate your past bad karma and there are many of them available on RU-vid. If your leadership teaching can produce many volunteer leaders to launch a worldwide ban on meat, the world in future will be a much better place to live. Thanks for reading.
it is true and happened to me many times , thanks so much Conor for your lovely explanations which has helped me to understand why i am lucky sometime in the past.
Thank you! You have taught me how to try anyway.. ..you are perfect, your English is the best I have ever heard. Nice person. Wonderful professor. Hope someday God gives me the opportunity to improve my studies with you! Maria Luiza Acerbi
Thanks Conor, your videos always get motivated. We often think that we cannot work with our luck and it is not true. The idea of reciprocity has seemed challenging. Many times at work I have not defined well the tasks I achieve for others as a gift. I would like you to prepare a video about reciprocity.
That is absolute bullshit. Somebody attempting a high school massacre and their gun jamming has nothing to do with the survivors being prepared or a fucking opportunity.
Great advice. Growing up as an introvert who was relatively shy, I realized that all these didn't come naturally to me. Nevertheless, I had learned them over time through observation and had seen some results over time.
Conor Great Stuff as mostly from you. 5 are better than 4 I heard someone saying Luck is when opportunity meets Preparation. Cold be it fits in your structure. Conor if you have some Gigs or work in Germany and Need some Connections send me a Mail. Have some Good Industrial Contacts and serviceclub Connections all over Germany.
Hey Conor aren’t these rather 4 traits of successful sales people? We all know luck as such doesn’t exist but it’s a combination of at least two factors we actively influence
What a load of crap! If I was born into an abusive and dysfunctional home and I am not 18 yet, how will this improve my luck? Some people are just born in bad luck which means you have already been set up for failure
