For the razor wire Jigsaw says “ find the path through the razor wire”. (I think that’s his quote). I always assumed there is actually a path but he didn’t check and just bulldozed through.

I always 'headcannon' that John thought Zepp could be a potential apprentice, because Zepp had actually been quite kind to him, so his test was more a test of loyalty and willingness than a traditional Saw trap. He was given information and free reign on a way other subjects usually weren't. It doesn't explain why he was so compliant with the instructions during the test, other than to wonder if perhaps he was somewhat willing to do it but felt morally conflicted in the process.

Honestly if I woke up in the jelly trap. I would keep the candle where it is and try my best to figure out the code. But in the end I would clear the glass in a big area and just lay down and let the poison do its thing. Id do everything I can to avoid burning alive.

To everyone that says Adam and Lawrence should've sawed through the rusty pipe: I'm pretty sure Jigsaw would count that as cheating. Seeing as he's literally lying RIGHT THERE, with the shock remote in his hand, he would probably just shock them long enough for it to kill them.

I first saw this movie a little before Saw II came out over here, and it's still such a good twist. I've seen many horror/thriller movies since use the "the killer is playing dead" to keep suspicion off of them, but it never gave me the jaw drop that it did with Saw. It's an absolute classic.

With the flammable jelly, he could even just scrape the jelly off of the hand and arm he’s using for the candle and extend the arm to where the flame never gets near the jelly but it’s also much faster than scraping the entire body free of jelly

Lots of people give Doctor Gordon so much shit about saying that jigsaw was not a murderer. However I like to think this moment ties into Saw 7 with his reveal. The fact he already has the mentality of Jon not being a murderer already shows he's more susceptible to become a disciple of John and the best one too

How I would survive (keep in mind, I’m not going to include DON’T MOVE as the main option, since nearly every single trap is triggered by a cable and not doing anything at all doesn’t mean you beat the trap, it just means you’re stuck praying someone finds you). However, I will include DONT MOVE as to allow time to assess your situation before acting. 1. Bear Trap: don’t freak out and feel around the trap to see if you can feel any switches/bolts/screws…anything that will allow you to get the trap off yourself without moving much or triggering the timer. If not, you can try and use something to jam the machine from opening (like Hoffman did). If that doesn't work, then come up with a game plan to cut open the cell mate, get the key and unlock the trap the most QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY, rather than fumbling around when you only have 60 seconds. 2. Zep didn't need to do anything at all. He could have simply said ok, gone to the house, tied up his wife and child and then left for the hospital for the antidote. 3. Razor Wire: the wires have a lot of slack and he is wearing underwear. Take your time instead of bulldozing your way through, using the underwear as a layer of protection as you move the wire out of the way so you can advance forward. 4. Bathroom: use the saws to cut the rusty pipes (I know everyone has said this), or use the tank lid to smash the pipe and cave it in..allowing you to take the shackles off the pipe and walk away. There is also a bullet, but I wouldn't recommend using this to free yourself as it still leaves the other person attached to the pipe and relying on the other to go get help. 5. Jelly: use your hands to get off as much jelly as you can, using glass to scrape off any excess. You can also use glass to clear your walk path on the floor of glass BEFORE you start walking. Since this trap has no time limit, you can take your time, clear the floor and get as much jelly off you as possible before starting. Once you start, go ahead and take note of ANY numbers that look different (different size, written differently, different color) and try all those combinations first. 9/10 times it’s going to be one of those sets of numbers. Then you can set the candle down and work with those numbers so you don’t risk burning yourself.

not to be nit - picky , but there ' s an ( albeit rare ) post mortem phenomenon where certain muscles will have cadaveric spasms , which lead to the muscles constricting . you say that Lawrence would be able to tell that John isn ' t dead in the middle of the room because he ' s very clearly gripping the gun , but there are cases where a person is gripping a weapon postmortem . wonderful video , though . I loved every minute of it !!

Another way to get out of the shackles in the bathroom game is to cut of your heel. I’ve never heard anyone else mention that. But if you cut of your heel you can just slide the shackle of.

I'm a criminal justice grad with a focus on forensic tech. There was a case one of my professors brought for a lesson and it was from a shooter at a senior citizen complex. The shooter was a resident of this complex and when he was located by the officers, he was still clutching the handgun he shot himself with. Granted he was in a sitting position in a lawn chair so his hand had just flopped to his leg still holding the trigger. The officers had to physically remove the clip and release the chamber before removing from his grip. I say all this just as an interesting FYI of the wonders of the body during death.

Remember when you said in a previous video that the water cube trap as inescapable? Well, if you look at his neck, you will see that the restraint is made of rubber or something else that might be stretchable enough to at least drain the water out, maybe even enough to allow his head to go through. That's most likely how it would have gone on his neck in the first place.

I honestly would try to smash the chains with the toilet lid. Maybe it would be enough to crush it enough to disconnect it and walk away. I'm not sure how strong the chains are but its just a guess.

For the razor box thing in saw 2 if you already have both your hands in you can reach over with one hand and pull the blades up so one arm can get out then with the free hand push the blades up and slip out.

The gun looks like a revolver and those don't eject shells when you pull the trigger. Also bodies can stiffen up upon death, this concept is called rigor mortis.

Are there any shards of glass long enough to stab into the side of the candle and hold the other side so you are holding the glass like a stick with the candle on the end of it? Keeps the flame far away from you

About Zepp, I think the reason he did everything John said to is maybe because he wanted to. There’s a scene where he’s pointing a gun to Gordon’s wife, and at the same time he’s using a stethoscope to listen to her daughter’s heartbeat as she’s watching. Sure he was probably a nice guy on the outside, but Zepp probably saw his test as a way to indulge in some dark fantasies if he’s really poisoned. This sadistic display is probably why John had him oversee the game instead of Amanda or Hoffman.

I'm guessing naked safe guy would have been able to get his antidote sitting in front of the safe long enough for glow in the dark paint to show him the combination. There was NO way someone could try that many numbers.

The candle-flammable trap guy could’ve smeared the jelly onto the safe lock, risk stepping on the glass, and set the lock of the safe on fire, melting and/or breaking it, and then getting the antidote for the poison in his bloodstream.

This is coming from someone that only watched Saw videos on youtube but I was thinking... couldn't he have cut off the meaty part of his heels only and slided his feet off the cuffs easily? That'd be way less harmful than cutting off a foot or even than breaking the foot but I'm not quite sure if it'd work for most people (though I'm pretty sure It could work for people with higly flexible feet).

His sister is the only person who hasn't seen or been told how the saw movies end.
