As you all know I am a huge fan of the Saw movies. The original film spawned my love for the horror genre and basically spawned my love for film as a whole. But due to Spirals recent release, My younger sister showed interest in the series. So join me in witnessing my 14 year old sisters reaction to SAW V (2008) for her first ever viewing.

Despite the fact that fiendish serial killer Jigsaw is dead, his work lives on through a new apprentice, Lieutenant Mark Hoffman, a cop who appeared to be hot on the murderer's trail. As fellow lawman Agent Peter Strahm begins to suspect Hoffman is Jigsaw's protégé, the fledgling killer sets out to dispose of him.

From my experience as a younger sister, if the older brother isn't showing her traumatizing movies he's not doing his job. My brothers made me watch Salad Fingers when I was like 6 😂

i was deathly afraid of elevators when i was 4 because my brother watched final destination 2 with me lmao one time forced my mom to walk up 8 stories because i absolutely refused to get on the elevator i feel so bad about it now 💀

Watching these videos makes me reminisce over when my baby sister Rylei first starting watching old school horror movies with me when she was 8 and I was 14. Good memories. Makes me happy to see folks get to experience those happy little moments, just two siblings bonding over a spot of the ol' ultraviolence.

Oh I'm ready for this one. Might be a little late for the premiere. I usually get home from work at the time this gets released but I have to stop at the grocery store this morning and pay a bill at town hall. Will be watching afterwards though. Here is to 6-8!

@@generalrygy4532 Yeah for example, Special Agent Strahm was great and it was sad that he had to die because of a mistake he made, because of Hoffman who he was after. And then Tobin Bell once again...amazing performance.

I liked Saw V. I liked that it was to give more character development for Strahm and Mark but for people who only wanted to see the traps, that might make you feel it was boring. But personally I think it was just because of how uninteresting the traps were in this film and how you quickly checked out from the victims. Theres nothing likeable, relatable, or anything from the victims that makes you latch onto them and I think that hinders the experience.

It’s still really lazy, and admittedly bad writing. I still really enjoy the flawed, dumb, ridiculous moment like that within the series but it’s admittedly far fetched and is the perfect example of lazy writing.

I'm with your sister. I like Saw V. When the series embraced the soap opera, it became more fun to me. Not good cinema or anything, but I like the petty rivalries between apprentices , the cat and mouse stuff, etc.

Fun fact: The guy who plays Seth Baxter (Joris Jarsky) did the voice of Fabu in the Totally Spies Movie right after doing this role. Well I think its a fun fact.
