What did y’all think of my version of the “That Girl” trend?
This was a parody of Christian influencer Ashley Hetherington’s video titled “How to become “THAT Christian girl” in 2023 || Biblical tips to become the best version of yourself!”

But isn't "confessing" something implying that you have some shame or guilt about it? Seems an odd phrasing to me, but I've never really been a Christian, so what do I know?

i'm a christian and i laughed sm😂 i appreciate a callout and parody of a blatantly bad trend. my huge problem with the christian girl trend is it's so "me" centered, instead of focusing on helping others it's always about how can YOU get closer to GOD... and in the process you leave everyone else behind.

this is my main problem with christianity now. All my fellow atheist friends are activists who are passionate to increase social justice. The christianity i grew up in kinda painted an image of Jesus that i think he would approve of that a lot. All the christians i've met only did charity by evangelizing, not by actually making marginalized peoples' lives better. You can do better, christians. You don't *have* to be conservative and centered only on growing your personal faith or growing your own church! I'm happy to coexist with any christian who genuinely cares about people living their lives the way these people want their lives to be, and speaking up against injustice rather than against other people "living wrong".

@@theantibot I l had a conversation with a Christian evangelist about this. Je was with a large group of other right wing evangelists who were protesting planned Parenthood or something like that. I said "You know, you are right nex to our cities slum. Why don't you go there and help people like Jesus said to." Him: Jesus didn't say to help people. Yes he did. He helped people, and he told people to help people. Him: He helped people, but he did not tell others to help people. Me: Yes, he did! Him: can you cite the chapter and verse? :Well, not off the top of my head. At this point, I gave up. This guy was preaching his version of Christianity. But he clearly knew nothing about the topic. He seemed like he had not even read the gospels, just been told by others what the important part of the Bible says and what that means. It was kind of sad, really.

@@TheMilitantMazdakite As far as I'm aware, Zoroastrianism was the precursor for some of the Abrahamic religions in which it heavily relies on duality (light and dark/good and bad). I don't subscribe to that paradigm. What makes it appealing?

@@TheMilitantMazdakite Satanist here, too 👍 Zoroastrianism and dualistic religions in general sound like something I wouldn't recommend to anyone and it's not compatible with my ethics at all. Also it doesn't make sense in the world we live in: Light and shadow are not complete opposites but rather they only exist because the other exists alongside. They need each other and compliment each other. You can't eradicate one. And one or the other are not good nor bad, they just are.

I drank more blood of virgins as a catholic (the sanctified wine which becomes the literal blood of Jesus Christ (who most believe to have stayed virgin) thru transsubstantiation) than as an athiest. I've never been a Satanist tho.

yea. The joke is that you just can't get a regular supply of virgin blood these days. You would have to drink the blood of literal children. But i don't think it really works very well unless you drink the blood of girls that have at least reached puberty. And, with girls losing their virginity younger and younger, this is getting harder and harder to obtain.

We walked in the woods for a while with everyone else. We go anywhere in a 7 state radius of Nola. I'mma already planning next years costume.

For the first time in my life I have enough time to somewhat regularly do a “that girl” type day. The reason? I’m on medical leave from my job. If I were the type of person to make videos I could make a regular “that girl” video but constantly make comments about how the only reason I have time for this is because I am ill. Good morning world! It’s 7am and I woke up with the sun without an alarm clock. If I was employed right now I would already be stuck in rush hour traffic. I then do 10 minutes of stretches. If I was employed right now I would right around this time be getting even more knots in my back from standing on the subway with my absurdly heavy backpack. Then I take a nice hot shower. If I was employed right now this would probably be my 4th consecutive day without a shower …you get the idea

According to some vegans, eating non sentient animals like oysters can be vegan as long if it's done sustainably. But im not sure how the concept of virginity applies to them since they're broadcast spawners and I'm also honestly not sure if they have blood.

It looked like a bottle of blood mead to me. That's mead with black berry juice. But if they went fully vegan it's not, as mead is made from honey. Which is a shame because it's freaking delicious. Vegan honey exists, it's made directly from flowers, without the middle bee. But i haven't seen vegan blood mead yet.(what a sentence) 🙂

I’m in! You converted me, Lilith! My only question: I thought Satanists cooked over an open flame, fueled by burning the bodies of human infants. Weren’t there any available for your luncheon feast? My son is a “death” metal drummer for Kill All Betrayers (serious plug…check a to z store for proof!), AND he read the Satanic Bible as a teen. I don’t know why he never tried to convert me to his dark lord! After all, he’s an atheist, has never been arrested, has held a steady job for almost 20 years, has neither tattoos nor piercings, likes to drink beer, has a skull vase in his house, is marrying a Wiccan, has visited Salem Massachusetts (more than once!), and is raising a responsible and kind teenage daughter! How did I miss the signs? One problem though…his dogs aren’t all black

This makes so much more sense to me though, as "that Christian girl" is so self-centered regardless of the fact that one of the largest emphasized points biblically is to love one another. Satanism is unapologetically self-centered and somewhat hedonistic from what I understand of it, so this concept translates much better onto Satanism in my opinion.

OTG! You are utterly adorable (I'm a mom, whose kids are your age, is it okay if I say that?) All of your videos and your husband's (well the ones I've seen so far are great) but this one, this one was me when I was your age. Okay, I wasn't a satanist, I was a practicing witch. It was fun to watch and despite my promise to myself not to comment on youtube tonight (horrible migraine) I just couldn't help myself when I saw this video, love it!
