How to bleed BMW cooling system💦the fastest way💧

BMW M47TU engine coolant bleed procedure.
Car used- BMW e87 120d 120kw
E81/E82/E87/E88
E90/E91/E92/E93
E60/E61
e46
First step is to Remove cap from expansion tank.
Open all vent plugs.
Expansion tank return pipe vent plug and EGR cooler thermostat vent plug.
Add coolant slowly.
Close vent plugs after coolant emerges .
Fill expansion tank with coolant up to edge.
Start engine at idling.
set heater to maximum and fan to low stage. if necessary, top up coolant to maximum fill level.
Close expansion tank cap. Press accelerator pedal several times up to approximately 2500 rpm.
Remove expansion tank cap and if necessary top up coolant to maximum cold fill level.
Let engine Run at idle for approximately 5 minutes with open expansion tank until bubble free coolant can be seen to emerge in expansion tank.
If required, top up coolant to maximum Cold fill level.
Close expansion tank cap.

My 06/08 e90 320D with N47 diesel only has a single air vent at the filler bottle, there is no vent screw near the thermostat. I just did a thermostat replacement and refilled it while opening the air vent at the filler bottle and followed all the other points in this video. When you first start the engine try slightly crackin the air bleed screw at the air bottle so a small amount of coolant flows out and way=tch till it no longer foams. The tell-tale that indicates you have properly bled the air out of the cooling system is when you see a constant, strong stream of coolant (without air bubbles or slowing down flow) squirt into the top of the filler bottle through the bleed screw hose hole. If you run the engine and it still isn't showing that squirt of coolant, you still have air in the cooling system. Repeat the earlier steps till you see that stream.

n47 has electric water pump, no need to start engine just press the accelerator for like 10sec(i think) with ignition on that activates it. Different engine, different procedure.

So I hope you can help me further. I have replaced the antifreeze and since then, the temperature always rises above 95 C and I switch off the engine. What should I look for? I have bled the radiator differently and changed the thermostat. Before that, everything worked fine. What steps do you think I should take? Thanks

But how to get out all the coolant of the radiator and engine? I can not find any bleed screws.

I did some research. You have to take out the intercooler which is positioned under the radiator. Now you can see and reach a screw which you have to turn with the screw driver so all the coolant comes out.

I’m using n47 engine and drained from hose I never bled the system just filled it back up and never had any issues

@@olindor220 I changed the waterpump like a year ago... my hoses are very hard now for a month and if I remove the cap the coolant is boiling and is pushed outside the expansion tank. Also the flow from the little hole is a bit weak, sometimes it stops and then it flows again. Could this be a failing waterpump?

I have bmw 118d from year 2008 and now i ask why cant i do a coolant bleeding whitout starting the car i tryed too step on the gas for 10 even 15 sek butt its not working i have reaplect a new electric water pump and it still not working please help ?

Is this applicable to E90 320i 2007? I already changed the hose connecting to the thermostat. I also replaced the thermostat. Drive belt was also replaced. And I added coolant. This BMW model has no electric water pump? So I tried opening the bleed screw and add coolant. I patiently waited to make the fluid stable and no bubbles visible. (Not sure if I did the right thing though). I closed the reservoir cap and started the engine. Temperature starting to increase. It reached 105degree celsius and slowly reach 108degree celcius. After 5mins it was at 110degree celcius so I turned it off. Is the temperature normal? If not what should I do? What is the maximum temperature for me to turn it off? Thanks
