I love how the stylist kept emphasizing the importance of taking your time and going slowly in each step. So often we rush through it and cause so much unnecessary breakage and damage, and we don’t get the results that we want. Then we wonder what we did wrong? Did we choose the wrong shampoo? Not a thick enough conditioner? Didn’t use enough product? Bad flat iron? Maybe my hair type just can’t do this? When all we had to do in the first place is just take our time. New naturals, older experienced naturals, non naturals, mothers doing daughters hair, hair stylists, everyone, take heed to this video and just take your time. It’s ok. And your hair health is worth it.
Anna Grace, that's right because I'm suffering from damage from someone Flat Ironing my hair right now. I never knew a Flat Iron can do as much damage to your edges as a Relaxer can 🙁
sonya lamb comer when it comes to heat damage, it depends on the state your hair was already in. If you do not have enough protein or porous hair expect for your hair to be damage. Also, people do not understand that everyone who is not relaxed will not be bone straight, and not all hair types need the same amount of heat.
i know Im asking the wrong place but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me
Anybody notices How long her hair gets as she straightens curly girl magic !!😍😍😍. Please no negative comments . I just get excited about natural hair . It’s my passion .
That's what I'm saying like when I see a video that I see nothing wrong with I just question myself what is wrong with this video and then I realize those ppl are just some haters
Mines shrink bad like that and I'm a male and it's that long and textured but I hate it with blow drying. I'm going to try the Revair for myself since I wash and blow dryer my own hair
Which is EXTREMELY VITAL when you have fine thin hair, which I do. My hair is also VERY coily, so it's almost impossible to find someone who can do it. I'd love for this lady to do my hair.
@@SimplyTamika i just wanted to let you know that tarn x is cancerous. The stuff you clean your jewlry known as tarn x is CANCEROUS! PLEASE USE GLOVES!
She has long, beautiful hair! I'm up in the comments jealous as hell! I'm an older white lady, and 2 weeks ago, I had to cut ALL my hair off because of damage and dryness. 😭😕😒 I'm growing it out, and just going to keep my end trimmed and keep it conditioned, hopefully it will go well. My hair is so thick that when it's long, I can't even get it in a point tail without the thing breaking. I take A Nature Made prenatal gel vitamin every day, and twice a week, I take 2, it really helps hair and nails grow. No, I'm not pregnant, nor do I wish to be, but the vitamins are awesome. Hopefully one day, I'll have long, thick, silver healthy hair! Love watching black hair videos, idk why...fascinating!
Yes I'm Jealous too. My hair is thin and i cut bangs and totally regret it. Wish my hair was long and no bangs. My hair fell out after having my 3 younger kids. 😥 so waiting patiently for it to grow back.
Glad I saw your comment. I'm black but have terrible short hair. I don't ho to salons so I'm definitely going to try her process and I'm going to try those vitamins you take. Wish me luck and good luck to you too🤞💕
@@mpgisbtsarmybaefighting2838 Try Wild growth oil 2 to three times a week and the rice or black rice water rinse from Dr Debbie after you wash and condition your hair. Use leave in conditioner after. In between washings do Greenhouse effect a couple of times a week and keep hair moisturized with the Loc or Lco methods, liquid, oil and cream or liquid, cream and oil. Use sulfate free shampoo to was your hair. Take Care Dear! PS doctor said biotin is good for hair growth but continuously taking prenatal vitamins unless you're really planning to have a baby is not good!
PERFECTION! You know what to do. I am the same way with my hair and my daughter's. People ask the secret and the answer is patience. We need more professionals like you.
I love watching these videos because it is showing that you can still go natural and have a silky straight finish without any relaxer etc products. Good job you did a beautiful job on this young ladies hair keep up the good work !!!!
She has such a beautiful long healthy hair❤️❤️❤️and thanks to you mama who take a good care to her hair🤗😘i wish i can find some one who can help me like this❤️❤️its is very hard here where I live to find someone who care about natural kinky curly hair...like at the salon always told me to relax my hair 🙄🙄🙄because it is very hard for them...coz it is too kinkier 🙄🙄🙄so i try to take care by my self 😥thank you sooo much for sharing...we learn soo much from you guys ❤️❤️🤗we appreciate you are help❤️
You are definitely an experienced stylist. Thank you for your willingness to not only share your techniques and wisdom but your product line. You took your time making this video too! I will certainly benefit from this!
It's beautiful to go to a stylist it's wonderful but you must also learn to take care of your hair yourself because there may be a time in your life that you may not be able to either a be able to get to 1B you may not have the money C learn how to do your own hip I know some people in their sixties do not have a clue how to do they hair because they as a child a mother or father had jobs and they went to the beauty parlor to have their hair done and I never learned they never had beauty products in the house like shampoos and conditioner because they went to the beauty parlor so there was no need to have an extra straightening comb or extra hair products in a house and there are some women today that's still do not know how to take care of that they don't know how to wash they here and it's sad they don't know how to detangle their hair and that's said you should most of all know your own hair
I lov how it was basically real time, and i love how she treats her clients hair. And i love how good she is at explaining. I didn't know wen flat ironing at the root u should pull it a little to make it straight for wen u pass the iron. And i love how she continually repeats it , cuz i know for me sometimes i cant get things jus by rewinding the same pic over n over, i need diffrent angles, and also sometimes wen teacher is explaining, they tend to add more info, thats y i love real time, and repetition. I love how gentle she is. She really cares. I wish i knew where she worked. Wat state , etc.
Beautifully done! My daughter's hair grows like that and been going to the hair salon since she was 4. She's in her early 30's now n will only let it grow just past her shoulders now. 😌
Still one of the best silk press videos. I just followed it. I was going to buy some new products but your techniques makes all the difference. Thank you so much.
I don't like the fact that she went over each section of hair like 50 times with that blowdryer! She didn't even use the tension method first. She stated that the key to a smooth flat iron is to get it as straight as possible with the blow dryer. But that blow dryer is hot as hell and will be the first cause of heat damage in the flat ironing process. She blow dried the hair so much that it looked like it was already flat ironed. And if you look at the girls face at 15:54 she looked like 'great she finally about to start flat ironing'. But from 16:00 to 16:45 She looks like 'Why tf is she still blow drying? Damn she frying my hair' #sadface. And when the girl washes her hair and realizes that her hair is damaged and can't figure out why she will think that the lady used to much heat with the flat iron, when really it is caused by the blow dryer. That is my reason for disliking this video for those who are trying to guess why some of us long haired black women who are NOT hating on another black woman's hair hit the Dislike button on this particular video. She look like somebody's aunt flat ironing hair out of her house, not so done who is properly trained. Ijs. If you want to see how to properly flat iron hair check out this video by Gorgeous Strands, LLC. HOW TO: FLAT IRON THIIIIIICK HAIR.
This is proof that you really have to know hair and how to flat iron. I’ve actually never seen anyone do two hits at the roots and one pass with those results. If I didn’t see this with my own eyes...it would be hard to believe. Everybody who has curly usually has to get like 4-5 hits at the roots and then like 3-4 passes down the shaft. Excellent job 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Hi!! Thank you soooo much from my heart to my hands so I can finally flatiron my daughters hair properly. I see you get more of the root straightened slanting the iron and going down slowly as you described. God Bless You and I appreciate your knowledge!!!! Blessings to your Hands and the Heads of Hair You make Beautiful!!!!
This was amazing. I loved the patience and professionalism presented. I wish you were near me. I Definitely loved the results of the hair how beautiful just flat ironing and blow drying can make the hair look as good, without using chemicals.
You are the first stylist that I have seen use a blow dryer with a comb in a long time. Very nice work and I also like that you take your time and GENTLY blow dry her hair
Omg you are the best I've ever seen working and specializing on natural hair I have been natural all my life and I'm a 30 yr old woman who has never had one perm and it's so hard to find hair stylist who know my every need for my natural hair they always want to talk me into a relaxer smh 😒 I wish u were where I live because I promise I'd be a faithful client 😃 great beautiful job ❤️
I wish I had T's hair. It has always been so long and beautiful. You are doing a great job keeping it healthy for her. I wish I was still there so you could take care of mine. My hair is lacking since I moved away. It is hard to find a hair stylist these days as good as you. You really know your stuff and the results of your other client's hair speaks for itself.
Thank you so much for this video! It is so educational, and I finally know where I was messing up. I subscribed instantly! I have never watched anyone like you, your the best. I would travel just to have my hair done by you. It's hard to find anyone like you who truly knows about natural hair, without damaging it. That is one reason I don't let people get into my hair... Although, learning from you has saved my hair😊 Thanks again!
Father forgive me for I have sin watching hair porn it’s so beautiful and healthy and very lovely and I ask my hair be this lovely so others can fall in love too amen
I am a retired person and I didn't really actually started learning more about my hair until I was on the internet and it was a little piece hair about with some women and they hear Journey and I said you know imma get into this little by little I did and I started to see my hair grow but from the damage that I had it's sort of discourage me when my hair started to fall out or break off but then I read more and more online about hair falling in the damage and I said oh oh okay and I started doing treatments protein oils and all the natural products that I made up myself from looking at the comments the do's and the don'ts and I thank so many people but black girls black older women our hair can grow just take care of it be mindful of what you put in your body how much water you drink and the right Foods no pre-packaged Foods lots of greens lots of salads lots of vegetables and you will see a difference and your whole being
Speechless. Girl you are the truth!!! So well educated this is a highly recommended video for anyone who wants to be a stylist like myself. Perfection. Wow.
This video got my hair popping.! And it only took me 1 hour to flat iron usually take me forever.! And that blow dry routine made my flat iron process easyyy
It is all about keeping her moisture regimen on point. If the hair is well moisturized then it won't be prone to damage and breakage. Protective styles are very beneficial to helping keep ends away from damage and the elements. You just have to pretty much find a simple regimen and stick with it because textured hair doesn't take change too well.
Simply Tamika that makes a lot of sense. I’ve been trying to stay consistent with it. I’m just going to stay more consistent with her regimen and follow it religiously. Thanks for responding.
Some hair salons have to have signs on the walls asking clients to remove their glasses. And some stylist wonder why people don't have the common sense not to have glasses on. This stylist seems to be very nice. She just worked around the eyeware the best she could. She did a wonderful job.
I actually get head aches when I can't see along with my eyes becoming super watery. So I normally keep my glasses on and when they are by my ears I'll move it and put it in immediately after
her hair is so healthy, long, and pretty 😍😭! btw this was posted on my birthday 😆. came across your braces video then I kept clicking on other videos and then I had to subscribe ❤

I'm Mexican and my hair is nothing like this girls hair, mine is like this girls finished look, but it is awesome to learn exactly how to do this. thank you. I was afraid of irons and now im gonna buy my own just using less heat for a more finished polished look for outings.
Listen, having that FHI flatiron you will win half the battle right there. That iron is the best! No joke. I found one at TJ Maxx some years ago for $60 and it was AUTHENTIC. I was a flatiron junky before finding it and now I will never let another brand of flatiron touch my head. Natural 4b.
I'm So glad I found you! Thank you for generously sharing your gift with us. Now I have the information I need to take care of my natural hair. You're an excellent teacher who clearly explained the process. Bless you; thanks again!
Make sure you blow dry your hair in every direction all around your head and that it’s completely dry. Also is there still moisture in the air(bathroom) where ever you are styling it?
Hair preparation before styling is one of the key ingredients to make your hair smooth and sleek. If your hair is high porosity, you should wash your hair very well with a clarify shampoo, because if you have built up products in your scalp, the conditioner won't penetrated. Although this also apply to low porosity hair. Anyway after a good wash, use a deep hydration mask, designed to give hydration and moist to your hair. After that a good leave in conditioner combine with a good sleek serum that will not only help to smooth your hair but also to prevent heat damage. When you are styling the tools you are using and the technique are important. I prefer blow dryers more professional than cheap ones, because their quality that comes with it. I also used only the blow-dry to dry my hair and style my hair. But required patient and practice, and good technique. But anyway, if you have a thick and very curly hair, the power of the blower should be at least 2000 watts, because our hair needs the hair to sleek the curls or coils. Ceramic or Toumaline hairdryer is the best friend in terms of heat distribution to the hair, because distribute the heat evenly. The heat and power control buttons , should have at least 3 settings, low, medium and high. Usually the medium setting is the best to use on dry, curly or kinky hair. Also the hair dryer should have at least a Nozzle, and other attachment like she used in this video, is like a comb. I always preferred the nozzle, because prevent heat damage and better heat distribution. And a cool button that helps set the style. I prefer to use a round brush with boar and synthetic brittle, but if you are uncomfortable using a round brush, then try a flat brush. Make sure that the place your are drying your hair isn't humid. Make sure once you distribute your leaving condition and serum to your hair section your hair in four and detangale each season carefully. Make sure you that your blow dryer has an attachment, Nozzle or the comb on before your start drying it. Put some tension with your brush when your drying your hair especially the roots, go slowly but not stuck with the blow-dry through every part of your hair. Make sure that every section is dried. Go from the roots, to the middle and then the end. If you hair is high porosity, meaning that dried quickly, I suggest to have a spray bottle with water, in case one of the section is already dried, spray it with water. If you carried on drying your hair with your hair dried will be a waste a time, because will freeze easily, so the better way is to spray water in that section. Once your hair is dry then if you going to use a flat iron, try to use a ceramic or titanium one. A curly thick hair needs a good heat distribution, this two are the best for distribute heat to your hair. Never go more than 400 degrees, if you are not a professional stylish, you probably can burn your hair. If you dried your hair properly, the work is almost done, and the flat iron is just to give a sleek look. So you should not need to pass the flat iron more than 2 times in each section. Section your hair again and make sure every part of your hair is detangale before you start iron it. Put a heat protectant shield to reduce the risk of heat damage. Use a comb with your flatiron, and use the heat recommend for your type of hair, don't use the lowest heat, because then you have to give more than 2 passes to you hair damaging your hair. Get close at the root as possible to smooth that root and go slowly without not stopping through all the sections. After you finished iron and styling your hair do not manipulate your hair to avoid freezing.
Beautiful . Big ups to Willie Marrow. As far as heat goes. It you sit your client under a hooded dryer to dry the hair about 60 percent before going in with a bliw dryer, you can get straighter blow dry and less direct heat will very needed to achieve.
Beautiful. But if there is any moisture in the air, my hair is right back to nappy. Even if I am in the house, and its raining outside, my hair frizzes. This is gorgeous.
You my friend did a great job on the young lady hair. The young lady has a beautiful head of hair. Her hair is very beautiful and healthy. I really enjoy watching your channel. Growing my hair for the 1st time in my life at 23yrs! in My country, boys and girls all shave their heads from juniors to high school level!and leave just little to protect the sculp from the tropical sun.growing hair is prohibited as it is time consuming and also expensive to deal with not to mention that it can become an obsession for some girls and fail to concentrate on studying due to bad hair days!. Growing with boys I never fancied any thing girlie and even after graduating from high school at 18yrs, I continued to shave my head b'se it makes me feel clean, fresh &free bah every time I entered a salon, the guys could tell me that I should stop shaving and grow my hair b'se am a woman! Of wc I know! I left my country, for the 1st time I am surrounded by women😨😨 truly am bored!! not bse they are women b'se am new to their world! So I bought my hair clipper not to bother going to cohesion salons for a hair cut! After six months every one was like "grow your hair women should not shave their heads"! My coligue agreed with them and refused cutting my hair ever again!. Felt bad as I saw a Bush on my head😵😵😵😭😭very un comfy I had no choice but to let it happen 9 months it's huge! I don't know what to do!😳😳😱😱😨😬😵 my friend's hair is a yr and 5months but tooo short! And mine is way longer than hers i only apply coconut oil once a month and she does cornrows in them. No!, I can't wear a wig or any thing I can't take it😨. I feel bothered to take care of it and now that she is leaving, am puzzled what to do?!🙆hope fully I will go home the moment am done here and have a big chop! But that's like 2months from now am stuck!😵😵😢
Beautiful. She did a excellent job and she would be the one that I would choose if I got my hair flat iron to do my hair. Not many people you can trust.
Hello Tamika, I just subscribed to your channel today! Your daughter is beautiful & has long thick, healthy beautiful hair! You done a great job on her hair! Great video!
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but by the time I finish blow drying my hair feels really dry and I have those little ends break offs in my sink. I shampoo, deep conditioner, leave- in conditioner, and heat protectant every time I wash. Blow-dryer on med- high with comb attachment. I do this every two weeks and even include a 2 minute Aphogee treatment. Now that her hair is straight, what do she use to keep it moisturized during the week and keep it from reverting?
Hi Samatha! You probable need to not use the protein treatment every two weeks when you wash. Your hair may be experiencing protein overload. Try only doing the protein once a month or once every 6 weeks and do moisture conditioners the rest of the times. This may help with the little broken short hairs. She usually just uses oil on her hair daily in between shampoos and she buns and ties her hair up at night. Look out for a video about her routine soon.
@@SimplyTamika Hello Ms. Tamika. Exactly where in Atlanta, Ga.? My daughter's hair is curly, tangles very easy, and never feels moisturized no matter what I use. I feel like her hair snaps easily. She has not had any heat on her hair. Would you suggest using this method or putting heat on a 6yo? I'm trying to figure out the best way to take care of my daughter's hair. Thank you in advance.
