Every great wardrobe has a strong core. In today's episode of Advanced Aesthetics I create my ultimate "capsule wardrobe" basically, a collection of pieces that I think can stand alone If I packed them in a suitcase and can act as the POWERFUL CORE for my new, developing aesthetic. Ayy! Stoked on the shout out! It's awesome to see this come to fruition and I loved hearing the explanations behind the choices. Lots of cool picks and a few of them are similar to items I'm aiming for myself. I think seeing each item side by side in a vision board would help give me more clarity and I've been inspired to do a digital version. Looks like we better start saving up!

Advanced aesthetics is so all encapsulating, or at least it has come to feel that way. I dont think thats as intended but these videos are very special.

Hey I'm glad I can provide some inspo. Honestly this is how I would go about looking at a "core" wardrobe but choices arent set in stone, they can change over time or evolve and I think everyone can basically adapt the same process.

Expect the unexpected, I’d love to know how the P10-DS have been treating you. I’ve handled acronym in the past but I’ve read that wearing it day to day is a whole other experience

Brave New Wear I love them! The SS20 release had a few updates from previous iterations of the p10-ds (differently shaped knee panels for reduced knee bags and the use of differing weights of dryskin in the seat panels for more airflow) which pushed me to add them to my collection. They perform great with the stretch of the material combining with the articulation to allow for an ease of motion unfound in other, non-acronym bottoms I own.

The Guidi 788z is probably the greatest shoe I’ve ever owned. As expensive as they are I highly recommend saving up for them!

I own the cole buxton sweatpants and I believe the hoodie is of the same material (I may be wrong) but wow the material in my sweats is absolutely insane. Super high quality

when you were talking about the unstructured suit at the beginning of the video I kept thinking of the Robert Geller Richard suit, it definitely leans really slouchy but it has the unstructured laziness you seemed to be looking for. Might be too casual though, not sure

It's very interesting to see your approach in building core wardrobe! I'm myself restricted my wardrobe to one 100 litres suitcase 'cause I travel a lot and it concludes clothing for all seasons basically. Though I'm not sure if I would ever be able to commit to a certain style or a certain piece to the point where I need to resole my boots or something like this. I think the piece that stayed for the longest period in my wardrobe I have for 3 years. That's the whole conflict not only to figure out the core but to stay committed :) As for the hoodies check out last maharishi collection, there is hemp-cotton blend hoodie with the same washed out aesthetics, very interesting.

Yeah exactly! When I left NYC I basically only had a suitcase a little bigger than a carry on to pack my stuff and I honestly wanted to have really obvious “go to” pieces to grab. Maybe not everything will work this way (it’s hard to pack boots for example) and yeah, it can be hard to make buying decisions that will last longer than 3 years but I think it’s something that anyone can do with a little forethought and planning. It’s something I still have trouble with tbh

I think a black trouser is something you could have added, the fit material and structure is something that has to be very considered to make such a basic stand out

Yeah 😅 black trousers were in the original cut of the video (taken out just to save time) I was originally thinking a pair of Our Legacy carpenter pants or possibly something from Lemaire. Basically good quality but material and fit that would make them different than the jeans.

Yeah I actually had an Elder Statesman crewneck in the original cut of the video I realized that I accidentally forgot it when I reshot the whole thing. Was also considering cardigans, i have a margiela cardigan RN that does the job but i could possibly add something like the oversized Raf cardigans
