If your going to use wood, it should be driftwood. All other types have chemicals in it.

Your turtle looks very healthy. To keep your turtle happy and healthy I wouldn't recommend using that wood. Perhaps you've changed it by now if not for your shell babies health I would take it out 🙏🐢
