The C-packs deactivated (dark gray) is a good addition to the kit because it can be painted without sacrificing the activated mode (the pink one?). I'mma paint mine in Cosmic Metallic Blue or just Shiny Silver!
And because of that, it can also be replicated using a mold, if you feel like duplicating that many parts and keeping track of it, and then use resin to cast inside the molds and have it be clear or other opaque or translucent/clear colors.
The plastic-type stickers brings me back the Jewel-type stickers on old-gundam torsos or how they manufactured like that. ( Particularly MG Shining Gundam's shiny green jewel sticker )
I just got this kit this weekend. I want to paint it up in a ground suit color scheme. Like, khaki, army greens and brown with gun metal and a dark gray
I see some images on the box and floating around online where the screen on the core fighter is blue, is there a print of the kit that had it blue? Or is it only achievable by spraying a clear blue coat?
i might have to pick this up as my first UC MG, i was gonna stick to 1/144 UC for consistency (and to save my wallet) but the HG c-packs was my very first ever gunpla and I'm sentimental
When I started gunpla i was all about the hg, now I realize that I much rather have fewer but larger and better kits. I’d say get this one, it looks like an incredible kit packed full of awesome engineering that would be a joy to build.
Especially with the inner frame painting I'd be curious about the durability of paints. No matter how I coat my kits after the paint job, I find myself not wanting to handle them anymore. had a action base scrape some of the inner leg paint right off exposing the primer grey
Hopefully this suggestion isn't too late! Instead of the silver deactive psycho plates, you could instead take this opportunity to resin cast the psycho plate into a clear teal colour and keep the 2 tone white/cream combination of the shoe!
I wonder if they are going to make a A-packs conversion... that would be pretty awesome. I heard that this kit was pretty solid, I hope to get my hands on it sometime soon.
I have to say out the this, the nu and unicorn I think this is my favorite. And that's saying alot. Mabey the fact it's simple and has a core fighter like the grandaddy... sometimes though. 😊
Must be some kind of minor modification to the original 2007 runner. My unicorn OVA version printed copyright 2010 has the A runner marked 2022 and B marked 2007 as well.
My guess is there are some damage to the mold and they fixed it in 2022. SInce the parts are made in 2007 and consider how much they milk that mold, it's possible the mold has some noticeable damage.
Fellow lore nerds out there, could anyone clear something up for me: Is the C-packs just spare parts for the RX-0 unit one or was the Unicorn really dismantled. Cause I remember this scene from NT where Mineva brings up what seems like a live feed of the Unicorn Gundam with seals all over its body. The Mobile Suit seemed pretty much intact.
IIRC only Banshee was destroyed, during the testing of Phenex. Unicorn was still intact with Mineva's faction of Neo Zeon. So C-Packs are literally spare psychoframes.
The problem Is that the A-Packs and B-Packs Will be 100% sure P-Bandai. I would buy both them in a Blink of and Eye but i live outside that stupid P-Bandai program.
I've seen people say that it being gray is anime accurate since a deactivated psychoframe is just a hunk of metal. We only think a deactivated psychoframe is clear because of MGEX Unicorn. Still, IMO it wouldn't hurt for it to be clear so that someone could build an MG Unicorn or Narrative with custom LED's.
@@ZakuAurelius ok, good deal. I'm looking at the instructions and I'm trying to map out my colors. It's gonna be tricky but I'm determined to get something going soon. I like the gray non active psycho frame pieces. They're gonna help with the color scheme. 🤞🤞🤞
If you panel line with liquid paneliner it's best to apply matt after panel lining. HOWEVER, if you use a marker, I find it easier to panel line after a matte coat (if it's glossy the ink won't stick as well). Only downside do this method is the cleanup is harder
I've become bored with the same old gundan design and don't bother with them anymore. There basically all the same. But I do like this one and I will get it, plus being ver.KA we get water slides (which is standard with every single model brand out there). Bandi has a business model and that's to make as much money from the customer as possible. With the cost of living way out of control prices of model kit are unrealistic and an absolute rip-off. The only kits where I felt I got my money's worth was Yolopark's Optimus prime and Shock wave. It's just disappointing my hobby is getting more expensive as well. When the PG Strike came out it cost me $123.95AUD now HG kits cost this much. Rip-off.
That's probably who it's best to wait until event builds like MGEX or a Ver Ka or a PG gets released if you like the gundam design or theme but don't love it. At least the building process of making a monster of a machine is worth it alone.
