The easiest stage for a beginner in pull-ups is the initial stage. Don't you think that slow eccentric lowering from the top position instead of pull-ups with a band would be a better choice? (Because the band helps the most in the initial stage of the movement and helps the least in the final stage of the movement, and this arrangement is probably not very optimal)?
