In this episode we are shopping for a used D13 and show you how we inspect the truck and what we are looking for when considering adding a semi truck to our small fleet.
You really got me liking the volvo 670- 780 d13. Even looked into doing the injector cups myself. I feel very confident buying a used volvo now. Thanks alot guys, keep up the good work
Hi Guys great video. I run an International Pro-star. I wish I had someone like Jose with me when I bought mine. Remember the old saying, " A good coat of paint, hides a lot of sins" Keep up the good work.
How is your pro-star doing, what mileage does it has? I am planning to buy one with the Cummins engine but still debating between international or a freightliner. Any advise will be highly appreciated.
Bro make a video how to grease Volvo semi truck ...like video with details what to use ,how ... It may sound funny but a lot of ppl don't know where and how to lube truck and for me that is one of the most important thing...cheers
The more I watch your videos the more I’ve been thinking about getting a Volvo, I’m a few weeks away from getting a truck and I’m so confused on what truck to get
Yeah man you guys are very informative awsome job !! Hey are you from era in bridge view? I’m in Illinois if you can refer a good mechanic to check out some trucks for me . Thanks and again awsome job brother
Love your videos! How do you test for SCR and DPF efficiency? Is that a diagnostic tool I should have? Or should I just ask the diesel tech at a shop to check during pre-purchase inspection? Also, do you recommend always removing valve cover to check the cams/top of the engine before purchasing a truck? Especially if there are not many records? Thank you!
Where are you guys going to look at the truck I am truck driver like this model and I want am looking a very low mileage truck can you give me the location I can go to find my self
I noticed thats the dealer in Alsip, any way i can get in touch with your mechanic? I need to go look at a truck at the same dealership, let me know please!
Hi boss, i got a question I have a 2013 Volvo with d13 820k now def deleted still has egr I replaced injectors a year ago . Ever since I replaced the injectors I get a lot of fuel smoke blueish whiteish only at first start up and if I shut it off for 20 min and turn it back on. After warmed up I can’t see the smoke but can smell it. Do you know what it could be ? I can’t get a mechanic to figure out what it is
You can get yourself a storage bin from menards that fits under your bed and order with your vin your belts, upper and lower radiator hoses along with cab and bunk heater hoses a few preformed hoses, cac (charge air cooler) hose with 2 clamps, fuel filters, head light bulbs tail lights, glad hands , this way if any breakdowns you can fix it yourself or atleast you can call road service and you know have parts on hand they won’t overcharge on the parts plus charge you for them to drive around and not find the parts in stock.
I agree. You had the first generation with the first year of DPF. Everybody had issues. That was the reason I stayed away from D13 for a long time until they figured it out. Thank you for watching
@@TruckYoo ok. I just bought one from there, they had a bunch of those lol. They were 780's though. I wonder what company had all those silver Volvos,I saw you guys drive past a bunch more. Thanks for all the good informative videos. I tried to call you guys because I wanted you to do my inspection on the truck before I bought it and the phone number I found online directed me to one of your employees that don't work there no more. I want you guys as my Volvo mechanics.
Buy a Volvo with Cummins....Volvo injectors are failing over and over again. Time to get in and out of Volvo shop is ridiculous. You guys are looking for small stuff that could be fix in most of driveways. Trying to claim a warranty ? They gonna find always an excuse to make you pay for repairs.
