THANKS! My Mavic 2 was doing the same thing and you pointed me in the right direction, saving me a lot of time. (It is under Controls and Recalibrate Remote - same control manipulations, hit the button on the drone, then bang!)

That worked. I watched others, similar to your video and it WORKED! I use the mini 2 controller for my Mavic Mini 2, all though they don't use the Mavic name anymore. Hoom?

So I have gone through these steps and while it works prior to take off, the beeping returns when I go to fly the next time. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, that’s just one of the problems of the Mavic 2. The drones that came after the Mavic 2 don’t have this issue.

Hi Edward, quick question, Mavic 2 asking for compass calibration more often, when clicking Start Calibration sometime times nothing happens?!! Quit in flight one day, spooky!!

Mavic 2 Pro will often ask for recalibration, especially if you’re in an area with a lot of magnetic interference. Make sure you are away from metal, including a parking lot full of cars. Also make sure you are not in the middle of a city with sky scrapers surrounding you. All these things will make it very difficult for Mavic 2 to calibrate. Not sure what you mean by it quit in flight, can you elaborate?

Hi Edward, when I go into Calibration my left joy stick is registering Left and Right 100% but it does not register anything when pressing the joy stick Up and Down. I have not had any issues with my controller--no dropping it on the ground, no damage. Any idea what the problem is?

Are your controller sticks screwed in properly? Do you screw and unscrew them often? It’s tough to say, but you could try asking chatGPT what it thinks. I’ve never encountered that issue.

I would be more confident if you could find a way to 1. Slow down when you say what features to select. 2. Circle to show where the features are found on the screen. Most of use view on a phone so we can’t even read the writing on most screens. On another note. You have been the most helpful instructor I have seen on RU-vid. Thank you.

Its not working for me, it shows imput is there and I see when pressing my sticks but thats all, no double beeps at all. Also I noticed that when I pressing up sometimes other directions like right or left is also affected so its got 100% up and some like 20% right direction as well so difficult to press exactly only one direction.

Thank you for your comment! It’s not as easy as it looks in fact! In order to hear the two beeps, you MUST make sure the other directions are not being detected. Example: 100% right 0% in all other directions. Repeat until all directions are 100% without other directions being detected. It’s extremely frustrating but that’s what you need to do. ALSO: make sure to also use the wheels at the back (Tilt and ISO) when calibrating your controller. Let me know how it goes!

In addition: make sure that your controller thumb sticks and screwed it properly and that there is no debris between the sticks and the controller

Yes I'm having the same issue...its so frustrating because the beeping never stops!! Like a bad nightmare lol 😆 I'll keep trying maybe try lightly in all directions. What are we trying to accomplish? Mine go to 10 when it reaches 100%. I've had 10s in every direction but the beeping comes back minute later. This is madness 😳

My drone is a DJI Mavic 2 zoom. When taking still pictures I have it set on to take only 1 picture. I understand you can have it take 3,5 or 7 pictures at one time and it will stitch the pictures together. I have tried that and found that I have 3,5, or 7 pictures and none stitched together. I even selected "AEB" which will let you take 3 or 5 shots. This one seem to show the pictures being combined but when I go into the SD card on the drone I still can't find one that the file looks larger than the other pictures. Is there some other setting that I need to do before selecting the "AEB" feature?

Hey, AEB is essentially bracketing shooting. Similar to HDR on your Mavic. However, the main difference is that HDR automatically stitches your photos together into a finished, bracketed, JPG photo. So why is there AEB? AEB allows you to take the same HDR photos but stitch them together yourself so you can work with a DNG file as opposed to a JPG! I hope this helps :)

@@edwardfigura OK, I believe I understand I need to set in my photo shots a mode "HDR". Is it under the same menu as going to the 3 sliders, select the middle icon, select the top, photo icon and it should give me HDR? It sure would be nice if the zoom feature was on the pro model. Who knows what DJI will come up with with the Mavic 3. There are stiff competition in the drone world today. I'll look for that setting. Thanks... I wish we had a Drone User group here in Houston.

D Hansel tap settings, 2nd icon, and right under “single photo” you will see “HDR”. :) I’m excited for the Mavic 3 as well! Will be getting my hands on it early.

The mavic mini does this too, but my problem is that when I try calibrate it the left thumb stick doesn’t seem to get a response, so it just stays on 0% when I’m moving it up and down. It doesn’t seem broken and I had this problem a few weeks ago and it actually worked but after one flight it’s back to this. Any ideas what it could be?

Hey thank you for your question. This is a good question, it sounds like your remote/sticks are defective? If you are seeing no response when turning the sticks to the left try contracting DJI personally, this might be a bigger issue than simply an uncalibrated remote controller. Let me know!!

@@edwardfigura yep I have the exact same issue, contracted DJI but they have no clue which is really frustrating. It’s like there’s no response from the sticks. Do y’all know what to do?

@@izakburlo For me, the controller just beeped because the sticks weren’t calibrated. But I always saw a response on the app when moving the sticks. Maybe try making sure you are as far as possible from magnetic interference and also make sure your antennas are pointed in the right direction (perpendicular to the ground, antennas facing your face). Also make sure the sticks are all the way screwed in. Last resort is to get a new controller (but I would contact DJI one last time before doing that)

@@izakburlo And yes, I bought a Nanuk pelican case and that allowed me to never have to unscrew and screw the sticks in ever again and it never beeped again!

Did the method in the video help? If not you should probably contact DJI and let them know that your DJI controller is faulty and try to get a replacement

I flew my new mavic air 2 about 5 times since buying it less than a week ago. My Autel Evo 2 remote calibration is similar to DJI. I will go do that now. The Autel evo 2 had a little issue with crabbing left or right and when I calibrate the compass and remote it flies straight as an arrow. I wish Autel would beep the remote and let you know its off calibration like DJI. Maybe they will soon. Thanks for the video bro.

Yeah, unfortunately, this is just one of the issues of the Mavic 2 Pro. Later generations, don’t have this problem.

Hey, thanks for your question. Make sure you aren’t near any magnetic interference objects like heavy metal or metal structures like a dense city or even train tracks. Also, make sure you have unlocked your NFZ (no fly zone) in the area you are trying to fly in. If you are trying to fly in a NFZ; yoir aircraft won’t let you move laterally. Hope this helps!

I don't understand the left dial right dial? Mine is only showing one but what is it? I've tried for 20 min doing calibration but it never beeps twice for me. 🤦‍♂️

It's the two roller dials to do left and right. You have to do the knobs and the two roller camera gimbal dials.

You need to rotate the wheels one at a time otherwise you may not have your control sticks calibrated. Be sure you have the drown powered off.

Yeah, same here until I bought a new drone. It’s just one of those things that are unique to specific models. For example, the magic three does not have this issue at all.
