Hi Edward, when I go into Calibration my left joy stick is registering Left and Right 100% but it does not register anything when pressing the joy stick Up and Down. I have not had any issues with my controller--no dropping it on the ground, no damage. Any idea what the problem is?
Are your controller sticks screwed in properly? Do you screw and unscrew them often? It’s tough to say, but you could try asking chatGPT what it thinks. I’ve never encountered that issue.
You can use the skip buttons 😂 I like to inform people of why they’re doing what they’re doing before they’re doing it. That’s how I personally learn the best.
Due to sheer laziness on my part, I neglected anti-collision sensor calibration on all my Mavics, thinking that because I fly all my drones with the obstacle avoidance sensors deactivated, I shouldn't have to bother calibrating them. That logical presumption of mine turned out to be dead wrong because even with all the sensors always turned off my Mavic 1 Pro confounded me for months by stopping randomly during waypoint missions, often with the result that the battery came perilously close to draining low enough for the drone to force-land far from home due to battery charge levels dropping below that critical 10% level. By finally biting the bullet and laboriously calibrating the anti-collision sensors on my DJI drones, the stuttering stop-and-go flight behavior of my Mavic 1 Pro ceased immediately and the drone has flown smooth as silk ever since, while also filming sharply focused footage that was inconsistent at best before the obstacle sensor calibration I belatedly carried out. I simply had no idea that failure to calibrate obstacle avoidance sensors is ESSENTIAL regardless of whether those sensors are toggled on or off during flight. In trying to calibrate the sensors on my Mavic 2 Pro for the first time, the main problem I have encountered is that after completing the calibration of all sensors front, back, and sides, the calculation phase of the process remains stuck at the 0% stage, and does not budge thereafter. I'll give it another shot but now that I know how absolutely VITAL the calibration of obstacle avoidance sensors is to preventing the loss of the drone, I won't dare fly my Mavic 2 Pro until I succeed in this calibration process and see that calculation indicator scrolls up to the full 100% completion status before I power off the drone and disconnect it.
Thank you for the very insightful comment. I’ve had similar situations happen to me caused by division sensors needing calibration, which is why I made this video! We were able to calibrate your Mavic 2 Pro?
@@edwardfigura Yes I finally did calibrate my Mavic 2 Pro. Turns out that I was using the wrong version of DJI Assistant 2. The version of DJI Assistant 2 that works with the Mavic 1 Pro will NOT work in calibrating the Mavic 2 Pro because the Mavic 2 Pro MUST be calibrated with the DJI Assistant 2 FOR MAVICS, which is different from the "regular" DJI Assistant 2 that ironically works for the Mavic 1 Prro but NOT the Mavic 2 Pro. This peculiarity is not specifically mentioned in any of DJI's user notes on the DJI Assistant 2, and I stumbled on it after a long and baffling trial-and-error episode a while back.
@riverbankfisher awesome I’m glad that you ended up figuring it out. I know there’s a lot of trial and error with the Mavic 2 Pro. I was forced to figure everything out out of my own due to the nature of my job. Which is what drove me to creating these videos. I wanted to help people with my own findings and also have videos that I could personally refer back to!
Hi I need help on my mavic 2 pro I have left vision sensor error but both show disabled in app and also my front ones show no errors but do not work even tho app shows front and back should work I tried calibration in asistant 2 app on pc and it couldn't pick the green box up please help its on latest software version
Hi Edward, quick question, Mavic 2 asking for compass calibration more often, when clicking Start Calibration sometime times nothing happens?!! Quit in flight one day, spooky!!
Mavic 2 Pro will often ask for recalibration, especially if you’re in an area with a lot of magnetic interference. Make sure you are away from metal, including a parking lot full of cars. Also make sure you are not in the middle of a city with sky scrapers surrounding you. All these things will make it very difficult for Mavic 2 to calibrate. Not sure what you mean by it quit in flight, can you elaborate?
Hello ! Would you please tell me why my drone won't finish the calibration ... I do all the step, but went it come to the final ( Calibration information colleted, Calibrating ... ) Calculating ... window always stay at Zéro ( 0 ), even if it said that it could take 1 minute ... still the same after 10 minutes, and never I can get it full. Thank
Hey Edward, I like your drone presentations. Is there a way to customize the Helix quick shot so that the drone will do multiple outward spirals, instead of just 1?
Thank you François! I do not believe you can do that, but I could be wrong!! Try it out on the app next time you are flying, and let us all know if it worked or not!
HELP ME PLEASE Congratulations for your video more than exhaustive I did my procedure for my mavic pro 2 just following your instructions I must say that first of all I don't find a double window like you in dji assistance 2 for mavic then once I finish the calibration procedure of all the sensors at the end of the construction of the log file the procedure rikane stops at 0% and is unable to close the procedure I was wondering if you could help me understand why this ever happens and possibly how I can solve it I state that like you I have both an imac and a notebook with windows 11 and on my imac I also installed windows 10 but with both the problem remains thanks for everything and I look forward to your info
I am following the same process and my battery is also 100% charged. But still it is not connecting. Please help me through this, it will be a great help sir...
I guess no one has figured out a solution to this happening frequently to this point have they? Pretty much every time I start a new day of flying I have to do this.
Yeah, same here until I bought a new drone. It’s just one of those things that are unique to specific models. For example, the magic three does not have this issue at all.
Hey there mate. Hope you see this as it's an old video but, one problem I am having is that on the SD card after doing a hyperlapse, I have DCIM, then when I open that the only folders I have to choose from is 100MEDIA and Panorama. !00Media contains the rendered file of the Hyperlapse, the 1080p version, so no problem there and Panorama contains a few pano shots I did but I have no Hyperlapse folder. Any ideas? Cheers mate
Does anyone know what you are suppose to do when your OS is after 11 and the app wont launch?? i have been trying to find work arounds but no clue what to do.
yep, unless you have a really old Mac, I don't know the solution. I am stuck. does current Windows work, or do you need a really old windows computer as well ?
As good as the Mavic 2 Pro is, it still has hardware issues, especially the batteries. Mavic 2 batteries tend to easily over heat if you plug them in to charge right after a flight. In this instance, this battery has been used so many times that it has lost the ability to calculate the estimated energy remaining, so it stopped displaying the time! I didn’t block it myself in post if that’s what you were wondering :) The Mavic 3 doesn’t have this issue because the batteries are much more durable and reliable.
I couldn't calibrate the side sensor because of the usb cable. The assistant can't detect the calibration image. The usb place is totly wrong. What can I do. There is no way to properly fold the arm
it calibrates just fine with the cable plug in placement. The only issue should be if you dont fold the arms in as the arms, or the props if not removed, may get in the line of sight of the sensor, as long as they are folded in, just up to the cable, it works perfectly fine. Now once you are done with the complete screen follow through, if like me, you get lucky and get a sensor calibration issue, even though every screen was done corrrectly
I know it’s extremely inconvenient the way that they designed the drone. as you can see in my video I fold the arm in a very specific way. I recommend you try the same.
To be safe, always choose 5600 white balance. That is the standard daylight balance, which works in pretty much all outdoor settings. For indoor shooting, 5600 is also recommended but at that point you need to make sure that your image is not too cold or too warm. That is when I would start tweaking the white balance manually.
All good Edi, but how to explain why can not play exported file ? Comp up to date, super graphic card, ram 16 etc...still error code 3001033 or comething like that.
I think there is some codec missing ? Actualy file is rendered properly, as i was manage upload to youtube and there is working fine. Just i can not play on my device. Playback in troubleshoot does not show any issues, windows up to date, can play 4k file etc. My preset in premiere is gopro, quicktime, max render quality
You use QuickTime for your PC? I thought Windows users used something else to play-back videos on their computers. I’m not sure what the native software it’s called. Try opening the videos with a different software, does that play the video?
