is it true theres a hack that if you drill out those U-joint straps to a bigger size you could use the U-joint You are installing without changing out the yolk.
Jerry Whalen Well there is a hack you can drill out the little 6 mm bolts that hold Those little straps to the yoke you can drive straight through the yoke and install the old CJ style strap much stronger it’s more like a U-bolt
Jerry Whalen I believe the Dana 44 depending on what It’s coming out of already uses the CJ style U-bolt if it does not you can indeed do that same modification but it takes a different usually it’s not the 1310 I believe it’s a 1330
William Thompson Yeah will you probably have is one of two things either your front driveshaft needs balanced or replaced or there’s too much angle on the rear SYE driveshaft it’s very hard to keep the things from shaking
