Here's a quick video on how to change the blades on a Triton TPT125 thicknesser. Video brought to you by www.yandles.co.uk Check this item out! www.yandles.co.uk/triton-plane...
Hello Thanks for your video . I would like to ask a question. In many electric planers, whenever you change the blade you need to fine tune them. The two blades must be perfectly aligned in order to cut exactly the same. Otherwise, the wood finish has small waves. In your video I saw that you placed the blade and it is not necessary to refine its positioning. I ask if you just put the blades and they are exactly in the correct position?
Great video, really helpful! Two things to add/question: 1. The bolts unscrew counter-clockwise and you have to really twist the Allen key when first removing them 2. Does it matter how the pins are aligned to the blade? Should they be in the centre or at an edge or does it not matter?
Hi. In your experience using the Triton TPT125, did you encounter any major issue? I’m currently looking for a thicknesser, and the Triton looks a more cost optimized candidate in front of a Makita or Dewalt. Thanks
It happened to my machine. I found that the rollers were dirty - messed up with a mixture of wood resin and sawdust. Cleaning the rollers with bit & blade cleaner solved the problem. Waxing the bed also helps the wood slide through easily.

Oh, it's a two-blade thicknesser ... well, then you'll have to buy new blades every time, you can't practically sharpen two blades that evenly and similarly.
