Dont know if anyone cares but if you guys are bored like me atm you can stream all the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my girlfriend for the last couple of weeks =)
loved the video. whats weird is that i just ordered my Erik baily's 57mm 90a pro wheels and you just came out with this video. And i just wore my first aggressive skate wheels down to basically nothing it will be a memory in my skate life.
Can you explain in a video how or what are the different types of wheel set ups? , i mean using big wheels behind and smaller ones in front or small, big *2 , small. The purpose and things like that? and are they different for agressive or normal skates, etc? Thanks
Great suggestion! Is it like hi-lo? thin-wide wheel setup? Would a Soft-hard-hard-soft setup make sense? Also throw in anti-rockers in there. I heard of people using: front wheel/antirocker/h block/rear wheel/rear wheel setups.
Hey Lino what is the best hardness for outdoor wheels if you don’t want them to grind down as fast? I been riding 90A, what do you suggest? I appreciate you man and your channel, keep up the good work brotha!
You may forgot my favorite type of profile ! I'm used to call it "Eulogy" profile, (short flat top, then rounded or pointy edge), that make them easy to turn and to land ! Just bad for bowl and ramp i think cause they was sooo slippery.
Basically like the Weberski wheels shown in the video but the pointy part is chopped flat. Cozmo wheels (from the 90s) were a very pronounced version of that profile, sorta like a combo of a stop sign but rounded on the the shoulders.
Hey I just started inline. I got myself some aeons. Do you think mixing wheel hardness would work? What if I got dead wheels 88a for wheels 1 and 4 and 95a for wheels 2 and 3? They are all 58mm so it would be flat. Might make wheel bite better but I wonder if the 88a would wear down too fast. Or I could mix 92a and 95a. Any thoughts on that?
I bought some skates bauer. With extra extra soft wheel to the point i can pinch a tiny piece of with my nails. I tried using it out door but dint even whent 5 feet without noticing the dirt digging in the wheel pretty horrible.
Can you do a video where you show visually the differences while rolling and pointy on front and back and round in middle compare and give your thoughts 💭 that would be awesome Lino
Want to change to a flat setup cuz anti rocker is hard to maneuver on. Just getting back into it and i don't do grinds yet. I want blue wheels with my black Roces m12. Any suggestions or advice on what I should get and where to get them? Love your vids!
What about using these kind of wheels for quad roller skating? Specially the flat profile ones seem similar to the quad park kind of wheels. (In Colombia is not possible to get the quad wheels but agressive wheels are obtainable) Thanks for your videos, they are very informative
I love so much agressive skate style, but i'm afraid that i will not be able to cruise around the city with then, can someone do suggestions or advices ?
Hi Mr Lino. Can you help me with some links on where to get these pointy profile wheels as I’m leaving in the uk and here it’s really difficult or almost impossible to find. And I need them big time. By the way,big fan of your vids. Thanks for them, and keep up the gd work! U rock! 💪🏼🤘🏼
What you should know is the natural polyurethane used for wheels is beige / white.. usually the closer to that real color the, the more natural they should be.. less quimical additives = stronger.. this doesn't always apply, but most of the times.. I hope this helps
quick question: can you "aggressively" skate with fitness skating wheels/rollerblades or do i need to buy a pair of skates strictly for aggressive skating. because i got myself ordinary rollerblades with 82-84mm wheels
Thanks! Quite helpful--especially about the profile / shape of the wheels. I've been skating parks, ramps and such on my freestyle skates (Seba FR1) with a full rocker setup (76-80-80-76.) In general, would skating ramps be easier on aggressive skates with these smaller wheels?
i got the black with red lining exo 4 wheel blades and today my right side back wheel busted allllll up and the third one is soon to bust. i was wondering if u know any good wheels i got the K2 78mm80a or if i should just buy new blades.. ? i want to go faster as i travel long distances after working out . what would you recommend ? im not looking to buy the 110mm maybe 90mm as i said i would like to go faster but dont know if the wheels would bump or even fit together . please help
yo! got some seba fr-a skates on the way. I also want to pick up a seba 325 frame. what would be some good wheels to get for my first time using large wheel tri-skates? was looking at the rollerblade hydrogen but they sort of expensive and I dont think I'll be good enough at the moment to put those to good use. just want a mid level set of wheels to burn through, then on my next pair step it up and get something really nice. thanks!
nice video ! how can I have a Freeskate with agressive at same time ? like the USD AEON 80 this is perfect, but unfortunatelly i cant buy in my country, do you know how to setup aggresive blades to do also Freeskate ? many thanks preciated !!!
I got mine (same roces) 2 months ago. I just put on the Labeda 58mm 88a pointy wheels. I used to skate a lot when I was a kid- mid teen years. I’m 30 now and I’m trying to get back into it as a hobby. It’s been 15 years since I’ve skated so I’m building back up 🙏🏽
What would be the best type of wheel to start on? I'm leaning towards a 64 mm diameter wheel because its more in the middle of the road. Are there any good starter skates that use this size wheel?
Do you think its possible to use the wheel from the pramash skateboard as an inline skate wheel.?? Its similar to the black wheel you showed, but wider...
Hi Ricardo , I have been searching for some new wheels I run a feather-light 2 frame on a remz boot . I usually skate eulogy in a very hard wheel suited to concrete or bitumen so its long lasting on rough surfaces . I am having a really hard time sourcing any good quality wheels that won't fall apart an the shipping cost on a 4 pack of wheels is so bad i might as well just buy a whole skate . would you be able to offer any advice on where to source decent wheels without crazy shipping costs ? TIA Roach
Hi Mista Wheel Addict! I’m a fellow addict from the Uk. Can you help me where to get that pointy wheels as I just can’t seem to find it anywhere. A link would help me out big time! I love your vids by the way. Subscribed. Keep up the gd work! And roll out! 🙌🏼💪🏼
can you maybe spell in an reaction the second and third wheel so i can search an little bit further around the internet because my english isnt that good that i can make an whole word on paper if you say it to me?:)
So I’ve been skating for about 3 months now and was wondering if you or someone could tell me if you’re able to put anti rocker wheels on a flat setup (like switch out the two inner wheels for anti rocker ones). For example, most of USD’s skates are all flat setup, if I bought a pair, would I be able to turn the flat setup into anti rocker? Hope this makes sense lol.
Also could you explain (if you haven’t already) what the significance is on the angle of the piece of the skate that comes up onto your calf? Like the ankle support area. Some appear to be more level and some seem to be angled forward. Also is there a good difference between skates on the width of the soul plate? Like on some skates is there more surface area to lock in with for a makio or fish brain? Cause currently I have the razors cult creams and when I check the placement for a fish brain it seems like I have to angle my skate a LOT for the soul plate to make contact with the object. And idk if it has anything to do with it but usually when I try a makio, I sometimes miss the top of the ledge and hit just below it lol obviously it means I need to lift my foot higher but still.
And last thing, I apologize for so many questions lmao but Ive also been a little confused on how much the shape of the groove matters. Like which are better for rails or ledges etc. Like some grooves appear to be more in the shape of a U rather than a banana sort of shape.
Wow. Aggressive skaters are now going for ELLIPTICAL/POINTY wheels?! Aggressive skating must be evolving fast. Oh, on a different question about urban skates. What's that pad feature near the outer toe of the boot for? I have a pair of urban skates and I don't what that pad is for? Is it a shock absorber?
Zshock soda hi dude :) it's called a slider. Basically because when you do slides with 80mm sometimes the boot touches or the slalom guys every now and then falls. And this will allow you to change them when they get used and making the boot last longer ;)
Ooooh! Well I don't think I'll ever need them since I don't practice slides. But I won't remove them because they make my skates appear nifty. :) Btw Lino, now that you skate on elliptical wheels, you can find other aggressive skaters who use the same wheel profile and race them around where you live. The good news it will be a special race where you can grind on stuff and reach places previously inaccessible while still maintaining speed and 'turning reactivity' of the pointy profile. You have the benefits of both aggressive and speed skating. It will be like parkour now so to speak.
What are grind wheels for? When you grind with skates the skates are in a 90degree angle with the rail, so the wheels are also in a 90degree angle, which doesn't make much sense...
It's more related to how they run into the top of a curb/ledge/angle iron box or the wood or concrete on top of a halfpipe (beyond the coping). It's not that related to free standing rails (like handrails) at all.
Oh, I heard of them. never tried them. Look similar to Fifth Elements though. From my understanding, they are both great for beginners because they are light, but also for pros who are used to the frame, since it's stronger and lighter and gives more power transfer being a single unit. But not for enthusiasts who are practicing a lot of grinding, and replace their soul plates and try out different frames, right?
Hi greetings from Poland. Don't u think its just a case of few minutes and every wheel is the same, same shape ;) ..by me the hardness is important becouse i am 40 and my knees are rubbish
This is not the case. When you wear down wheels you're subtracting part of the shape but never adding to it. Unless you skate in a very very weird fashion, there's no way a very wide/square profile wheel (like the stock ones on Aeons) will ever become a pointy profile wheel (technically called a "bullet" shape). And as you wear down a bullet wheel, yes it gets "more flat" at the tip, BUT the "shoulders" so to speak will never be as wide as they are on a squarish 60mm wheel (you have to imagine the shapes overlaid on top of each other like on a sheet of graph paper and it will make sense. If you made a 55mm wheel that was 100% square, it would more likely hit the curb on a royale than a 60mm with a bullet profile because the 60mm wheel - picture it this way if you cut that 60mm down to 55mm, it would NOT be square but narrower because the bevel is gradual... not sure if that makes sense).
Riding my first set of 60mm wheels of my faction V1’s. I don’t like it. Too much wheel bite. Skating half pipe. I have to be completely topside to do any souls. Idk. Maybe I gotta get use to it.
