So Jaherys had like 12 kids but 3 of the kids Baelon, Saera, and Aemon!! Rhaenys father was Aemon, Baelon kids were Viserys and Daemon, and Saera son is Hugh!!! The bastard blacksmith we keep seeing!! Making Hugh cousins to Daemon and Viserys, Saera was a rebel and didn’t want to live by their rules !

With Jace I think it’s a little more complex. He has two younger brothers that aren’t bastards with Daemon and Rhaenyra. Through all the BS, he could still hold to the fact that he claimed a dragon. Now that has been taken away from him. Rhaenyra had to listen to a lot of crap about her kids, but Jace had to live through it. It’s a very real scene. Selfish or not. I get it.

The scene between Daemon and the kid was a mutually beneficial interaction. The lords needed to see that this young buck had balls, and Daemon needed to support that so he could then in turn be supported.

Guys: Hugh's mom isnt Viserys/Daemons sister, but her aunt. She most likely is the 9th child of the old king Jahaerys: Saera Targaryen (Viserys and Daemon's father was the sister of Prince Baelon the Brave, who was the 4th son of Jahaerys. Rhaenys for example, was the daughter of Jahaerys 3rd son: Prince Aemon). Bare in mind that Jahaerys had 13 children, although out of those 13, only 6 grew to be older than 14 years old, given that the rest either died a stillborn, died within a year, or when they were like 6-7 years old. Out of his 13 sons and daughters, only 3 were still alive when Jahaerys died in 103AC, and Viserys gained the throne... Amongst those 3, it was Hugh's mom: Saera, who as a teen escaped the kingdom and went to essos to work as a prostitut3, she was basically very unruly and impulsive, and Jahaerys never wanted to search after her bc he was tired of her. She must be more than likely Hugh's mom.

The thing that intrigues me the most about this world is that we dont even know for sure if Vhagar is the biggest dragon, its completely possible that there are dragons far larger in areas of the world where no men dare to go. Having that sense of mystery is key to a good fantasy story

Hugh is the son of Saera Targaryen-a aunt of Viserys- who was caught with having relations with 3 close male companions. She proposed to her father Jaeharys I that she’d marry all three of them like Maegor did with his wives-which was exactly the wrong button to push with the king since Maegor murdered two of his brothers. After this and after she tried to steal a dragon he killed one of her lovers in a duel while forcing her to watch then tried to send her to become a silent sister (which was mentioned as likely being an empty threat). She escaped and fled to Essos and may still be alive. I’m sure if she heard she’d be laughing hysterically at one of her sons claiming her father’s dragon

Actually the Velaryons DID come from the same place that the Targaryens came from. Both families (and another house that wasn’t written into the show) fled Old Valyria before the doom.

Vermithor is the second largest dragon alive with likely the Cannibal being the third largest.

And he’s right the wild dragons and the unclaimed dragons aren’t the same thing. The dragons rhaenyra was talking about have been tamed before. Wild dragons are literally wild. The unclaimed ones are seasmoke, vermithor, and silver wing. The wild ones haven’t been introduced yet.

Why would Rhaenyra expose that she has more dragon riders who aren’t Targaryens that was a bad move on her end.

Hmm...on one hand, it was awful that so many innocent bastards were killed by Vermithor, death by fire is horrific and it could have backlash.. BUT on the other hand-it does tie up a lot of loose ends-many less of them are around now, and the ones brave enough to come to Dragonstone were probably the ones who might've made the most noise/problems in the future? I hadn't had much thoughts about Hugh until this episode but god damn did he just become a million times cooler. Face a mountain of a fire-breathing killing machine that just murdered half of your fellow bastard uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces, look death directly in the eye and tell it "I am not afraid."

The wild dragon in the vale was sheepstealer, the 6th biggest dragon of all time

Lord Oscar Tully commanded respect from the houses by showing them Daemon didn’t have him on a leash to do his bidding. The Blackwood guy committed atrocities that the other houses wanted to see justice for. I don’t think they would’ve fought well alongside each other had that not be settled. Having Daemon do the dirty deed means the blowback from the Blackwood house is directed at Daemon and not Tully. He claimed he was doing what Daemon asked, but Daemon didn’t back him up. Perfect time to execute punishment, even though Daemon didn’t give a sh!t. The Tully Lord gained the respect of his people and served justice without getting his hands dirty. He also let Daemon know they serve Rhaenyra and not him.

Ya boy in the Life Sentence shirt is right Targeryans(Rhaenrya) and Valaryians (Corlys) are direct descendants of Old Valaryia. I think they are the only 2 surviving houses from Old Valaryia. Targeryans didn't really get super powerful until the Doom of Valaryia where most of the Dragons died but the Targeryans were able to flee to Dragonstone with Dragon eggs. And that's when they started to Colonize Westeros.

Targeryen, Velaryon and Celtigar were all from old valyria, but the targeryens are the only ones that have dragon blood. The velaryons however have many targeryen ancesters due to intermarriage, therefore some can ride dragons, not all of them.

Both the Targaryen's and House Velaryons were from Old Valyria. They escaped the DOOM of Valyria at the same time. The Targs were the dragonlords and the Velaryons were masters of the navy. They left and went to Westeros--the Targaryans landed at Dragonstone and the Velaryons went to Driftmark. Even before they went to Westeros, the two houses had some intermarriage and the Velaryons were the vassals to the Targaryens.

As for Evan's interpretation of the Jace scene, it was slightly incorrect. He's not talking about fighting the other bastards if there's contention for the throne once his mother is dead. He's saying everyone knows he's ALSO a bastard. So nobody will accept him as heir because he's just another bastard with a dragon, while there are others with those exact same characteristics. He never mentioned that he'd kill the other low-born bastards.

Alyn the bald one is no Targaryen Addam's mom was Corlys and Laenor's sidechick. There was a time when Laenor just reached puberty, Corlys brought his son to his sidechick(Addam and Alyn's mom) in order for his son Laenor to get experience. It created a seed which is Addam. Laenor felt disgusted with it so his preference was turned towards men. So Alyn is like Addam's half brother and uncle. That is the reason why Addam has a Targaryen blood which he acquired from his father Laenor who is the son of Rhaenys.

I don't think Rhaenyra should have shown off, it was a dumb move. The greens should have found out about this on the battlefield while using Vhagar, they would have lost their biggest dragon. Now the greens got time to strategize and steal her dragonriders by getting them a better deal through their whisper network or by tracking them on their solo flights. I think that was Larys' plan after Aemond got taken down by them and Aegon would be reinstated as king. Jace has a dragon which means that he will be going to war, he doesn't get it yet and those bastards will probably die too. The war has just begun. The youngest who are tucked away and Rhaena will most likely be next in line if their side wins.

Hugh's mom is the sister of Daemon and Viserys' dad. So she was their aunt. Also I don't think that peasant riders were the cause of why they eventually lost dragons because even before the war dragons had already started growing smaller and smaller. I think the reason why they get smaller is because there's no Old Valyria anymore and its' magic. Dragons started to shrink when Valyria got destroyed.

It's true, Vermithor and Silverwing are not considered wild dragons, as they have had riders and been kept by the Targaryens at Dragonstone. There are a few wild dragons too, but I won't say anything more beyond that.
