I took it apart to clean it and was worried upon reassembly that the blades didnt line up evenly. Now I realize you have to put a little skill into lining them up and tightening it down. Wahl is amazing, buy one and you have it for life unless its dropped or stolen. Thanks for the tutorial, it was very helpful.

When putting the cutter blades back together, line the cutter blade up with the beginning of the round shoulder of the comb blade with the first cutting tooth the the right of the first comb tooth on the right. Tighten the screws one quarter turn at a time each until they are both tight, then snug them up. If they are not parallel, loosen and re-set until you get it correct. These blades can be re-sharpened many times. Use machine oil to oil them in use. WD 40 can be used to wash the blades out and you can use a wire brush to clean between the teeth.

Can you correct what you are saying because I missed something
@snipper1ie
@snipper1ie Год назад
@@neutralpeace647 @3:43 you can get a good view of the blades. The tip of the right tooth of the cutter blade should be in line with the beginning of the curve on the outside edge of the comb blade.

@snipper1ie
@snipper1ie Год назад
@@neutralpeace647 I'm taking it that you are talking about the screw on the side of the clipper. These clippers work by magnetism and sometimes need to be 'tuned'. Take screwdriver and turn the screw, the clipper might make a really loud noise, turn the screw back and forward until it doesn't make a sound and you observer the blades passing each other. Your blades might be stuck together, make sure they can move.

Now i need to get these blades sharpened :)

It should be noted that hair actually gets inside of the case. The body also needs to be disassembled, so that you can clean out the internals. Hair inside of the clippers can cause more damage than hair on the blades.

Had this same clipper for 5 years, then last month the moving arm broke (Not Wahl's fault). But during those 5 years of service, it never failed me once. Even now that the arm is broken, the motor is still running strong and the blades are still as sharp as the first day.

I have a Remington Rotary 200s shaver and I used the pop up trimmer today for the first time. I trimmed and lined my sideburns but I was only able to do it for one side. The blade teeth won't move anymore and the motor sounds like its struggling. I brushed away all the visible hair from the blades and added a few drops of oil but it still won't move when I turn on the shaver, even though the motor is working. What should I do?

Its 2024...and your video still worked for reassembling WC3. Thank you very much for such a clear video wirh very silky voice that kept me glued till the end 😂 I still have one issue . about getting very loud noise on starting it up. Any idea how i fix this ? Could it be that last step of alignment, i can follow again to fix this ? Actually I had noticed this issue even before opening it. It got resolved automatically earlier. But after my experiment, I still have this issue and it makes this clipper almost unusable. Any suggestions to fix this ?

At 1:23, you don't even have to take out those screws. I clean it with a vacuum cleaner at maximum suction and that gets out every bit of hair left in there. You're welcome!

I had a low-end Wahl clipper and it just quit today, so I took it all apart and the field-coil had burned up (gone open) anyhow the thing had almost an entire 1/4" long beard inside there! all the way to the cord hole.. thru and thru. Do they not make a clipper that does not continuously suck hair into itself?? I mean a WHOLE BEARD's worth !
