How to clean your Master Airbrush (G22model) 

I own the G22 and the G223 - I have taken them apart to clean them similar to the way you are doing it. The 2 hardest things for me are the small tip on the front (My fingers are big) and aligning the bottom of the trigger into the body. It gets easier the more you do it.

I just received and tried out the Master compressor/G22 set yesterday and didn't think it was completely clean and no idea how to totally break it down. I found your video this morning, sure enough, while following step by step, the needle came out...PAINT residue. GREAT JOB 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽and Thanks again..of course, I'll be saving this one.

At 10:13 OOPS! LMAO! I did that right before coming back to this video. It fell on the floor, luckily, I found it. I don't use my Master airbrush that often so, I forget the disassemble-reassemble process. I always use your vid as a guide. Thanks ;)

Pro tip: Use Interdental Brushes for tip cleaning.

I'd like to add, if lacquer thinner does not work, try MEK (methyl ethyl ketone). That stuff will eat pretty much anything that's gunking up inside your airbrush. Just make sure to remove the rubber bands/gaskets first.

It's pronounced "Posh-A" Not a bad make, but Badger and Iwata are much better. Actually the cleaner used depends on what type of paint you use. I use nothing but acrylics, so I use a "home-brew" cleaner that is mainly water, Isopropyl Alcohol and a few drops of Glycerin and Ammonia-free window cleaner. For lacquer-based paints, well, you have to be careful using even lacquer thinner, because of any rubber seals or gaskets. BTW, the tip is called the nozzle.

Can you use the Lacquer Thinner to actually thin the solvent/ oil based paints--BEFORE you spray?? I know some people put airbrush thinner in their POT first then add the oil based paints to the small pot, then shake! Then they are ready to paint! Can the lacquer thinner be used in a ratio the same way??

I have this airbrush and I'm running into a problem with model master paints. They keep clogging up my airbrush. I'm thinning out the paint a lot and it still clogs. But if I use tamiya paint and thin it the usual way no issues. Any thoughts?

I hope you can clear up what you are saying--Do not get lacquer thinner on the rubber band most people call that a o-ring then you say put the nozzle that has a o-ring into a bottle with lacquer thinner I know I am confused.

I can't get the tiny tip back over the tiny o ring! 😭 do I need the tiny o ring?

What is that extra screw thing in the box for?

Should that rubber on the tip part be taken off will the thinner damage it as well as you said for the first gasket

I think this is just the issue I'm having. Dried paint in the tip and no paint flow.

Should I still use laquer thinner to clean it if I only use water based paints like Faskolor? Or will my Windex do the job?

Is the cleaner harsh on the airbrush?

just over tightened that little part and it broke. so freaking upset. didn't even have any paint build up so I shouldn't have taken it apart. hopefully it's covered by the warranty

Don’t use that wrench like this guy did on the needle tip u should only tighten with your fingers then you won’t fuck it up also lube all your parts with a air brush lube witch this guy didn’t do if you break or lose a part just buy another cause the parts are as expensive as a cheap brush lube it all the time the trigger assembly and it will work awesome any brand of airbrush also you don’t have to use thinners to clean you can use water and other products for acrylics any water based paints if you are using laqueres then ya use thinners I don’t think this guy knows a whole bunch
