Are you REALLY confused about how to connect the Flysky FS-X6B receiver to the Eachine Wizard X220? So was I! In this video I'll show you how I made a functional connector cable using the (incorrect) cables that come with the receiver, and which ports to plug into for i-BUS (which is basically just a name for the type of language that the Receiver (Rx)/Flight Controller (FC)/ Transmitter (Tx) use to communicate).

For anyone else confused about this connector stuff, here's a great forum thread about "JST" connectors with very helpful pictures! www.rcgroups.c...

I think those are 3-wire JST SH Connectors. Great Video though!

OutdoorMentor you can depin those nano just as well and pin then into other jst nanos. But normally you would have to solder the jsts to it as most of the times they don't come with it on both ends. You will definitely need to get a soldering iron and spare escs and a spare motor as well. Trust me. Are you flying acro?

Thanks bro. You're the only one who's actually explained this thoroughly. I think everyone else just assumes we're all electric engineers and understand this stuff

I think you're the only person who is using the X6B on a quad. I've tried to find other videos about this configuration and you're the only one making videos about it. I have just bought an X6B as there isn't any other reliable flysky tx available where I live. So thank you for putting up this video.

Looks like we both got the wizardx220 around the same time. Got one had so much fun learning this puzzle. I had to buy another one. I now only build my own.

Thanks so much for the video.. Have several quads (micro quads and 250 racer) but they all came with the controller and drone all configured.. I was torn between getting the Wizard X220 with the controller or just the X220 as an ARF... Because the RTF was on back order, I got the ARF and it will be here in a week... After watching several of your videos, I feel more than confident getting this up and running.. Have Libre Pilot on the 250 Racer and have been playing with the PID's, and have a micro quad set up with Beta Flight and/or Clean Flight...... Following your simple instructions, I cant wait to get it set up. You answered so many questions relating to the different "languages".. Thanks a bunch, and keep the info videos coming !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm curious if the RX to PDB connector is an 8pin JST SH 1.0mm? Or, where you can purchase the RX to PDB cable if you need a spare? If someone knows the specifics on the connector, and/or has a link where you can buy a replacement cable, please post. Thanks.

I havent opened my X220 yet. Wonder how long cable I actually need? My thoughts is that I would better soldier cables together. Less chance of lossing control because of vibration.
@sseymour1978
@sseymour1978 7 лет назад
Actually with X220 came cable with "Full length" connector. I soldered that together with one of the receiver cables. Should be more stable.

Can someone please tell me where to mount the x6b after it’s connected to the wizard x200hv....having difficulty finding a space for it.
@RCwithAdam1
@RCwithAdam1 4 года назад
Hi! Most people will zip-tie it anywhere that it will fit, as long as the antennas are sticking out for good reception. Maybe the inside of the top plate?

Do U get telemetry?
@RCwithAdam1
@RCwithAdam1 2 года назад
Yes. If you want rssi in the betaflight osd, I beleive you just need to select channel 14 in the dropdown menu. It will also give you voltage, but that always stays at 5v because of how it's powered.
@quebeccivic

Could you be more specific on how you mashedup the 2wires together?
@FunTechandMore
@FunTechandMore 7 лет назад
Shawn FPV don't do that. Use the plug of your fs ia6b that goes into the fc. Solder the cable together. This plugging and just mashing thing is not gonna work for a long time. Soldering iron you will need it anyways in this hobby.

@FunTechandMore
@FunTechandMore 7 лет назад
Marc Cooper does your fc lights turn up? Does your fc still connect to betaflight? Do the other escs make the startup tone? Check of you plugged in the reciever right if it is on ibus white cable has to be going out to the edge.

You know that in the back of the receiver you have solder pads where you can solder the wires directly only needing one plug...

3:48 "wrap each one with electrical tap" .......and then wait for them to fall apart.
@JawaPaul
@JawaPaul 6 лет назад
Great video for beginners made by a beginner, but of course it's very lazy practice to just pinch wires together inside some tape and hope/pray for the best..... It's all fun till your quad loses communication with your transmitter suddenly 50 metres off the ground, and drops onto someones head or vehicle (or even worse if failsafe not setup correctly) keeps flying straight into somebody's face !!! But it is what it is..... I'm sure by now this guy is much more experienced and knows 100% to solder every wire joint, heat shrink and cabe-tie it right. :)
@NukeFPV
@NukeFPV 4 года назад
Gregory Dahl Paul’s right .... Every wire joint should be soldered. It’s just common sense.. But I’m sure we all know this by now 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 This comment was from a year ago buddy 🤣🤣🤣
