I did this tonight and it turned out beautiful! Fantastically fragrant and the perfect texture. 🌾🍋✨ Such a simple method and much more of a shortcut than other recipes I’ve read on how to cook Bulgur! Akis is the master! 👨‍🍳🇬🇷

Looks nice ! We do it slightly differently in Kypros . We fry up onion and vermicelli then the bulgar then water. Your version I'm looking forward to trying 🏺🧿🙏

Hey My Friend I Had A Very Hard Day Working Away In Exeter And The Local Chippy Was Closed So I Wandered About And Found A Turkish Restaurant I Explained I Did Not Want To Dine Alone And Asked For A Takeaway,Well The Meal Included Bulgur Wheat AND I To This Day Think It`s Better Than Any Rice And Thank You EXETER The Belugr Wheat Is A Real Game Changer FANTASTIC FOOD I Would Recommend This Ingredient 100% GO ON TRY IT FOLKES.:)

Absolutely delicious Akis.......but I needed to add up to one cup extra of liquid.......possibly my grain was more 'hondros'! (courser grind)

I will try this tonight and feed it to my husband. He never wants to eat something new and I doubt he will like it, but I will try nevertheless. I'm sure I will love it though !

As said, I tried it last night. I loved it ! My husband didn't even taste it. I ate the rest of the bulgur today and I added chopped dumbell peppers.

It is high time one speaks about the Greek olive oil with its intense flavors and aroma. We hear about the nuances of kosher salt and San Marzano tomatos but we neglect to name the exquisite properies of Greek extra virgin.

Perfect recipe, efxaristo!! I didn’t have any thyme or rosemary at home, so added some chopped parsley, a bit of basil leaves and few leaves of mint finely chopped :) with lemon zest and a bit of juice. Perfect taste!!

Do you have to wash or soak the bulgur before cooking...or use it straight from the packet??. And also what is the name of the bulgur....there are lots of different ones and I'm not sure which 1 to buy

Unlike rice, you do not need to wash the bulgur because bulgur is wheat and it is already washed, cooked, dried and then crushed to bulgur.

Tabouli salad is the best way to eat Bulgur, it's not greek but if you can have a nice recipe for it it will be much appreciated.

Anything you would eat with rice. I like sauteed vegetables like leeks, garlic, courgettes, green peas. Or you can serve it cool with chopped fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, mint, scallions, parlsley. This makes a much more flavorful tabouli.

It takes longer for bulgur to be really cooked , otherwise it's too hard on the stomach

Other recipes suggest 1:2 bulgur to water ratio and 30 minutes cooking time, your 1:1 and 10 minutes. How is that supposed to work? I followed this recipe and bulgur came out very firm and not edible. I had to add more water and cook it for another 15 min.

+RyuFan1999 well as a quite extroverted chef he's proud and quite confident in his work (which he definatley can be, i personally recooked quite a lot of his recipes and they were the best version out of all the similar dishes i tried). I think it fits his sunny personality quite well. Also for cooking or i guess any work its a nice way to bring out your best endresult if you say to yourself that its going to be the best. Aim high =) Just my two cents, but i get that some viewers might get ticked off by that , have a nice day
