Great method of cooking . . .will give it a go in about 5 minutes!! Okay - where you from? I love that accent!!Okay, yes this worked out great. Went a little long on the temp but was still good, dog did not complain ; )

Hey, thanks for watching! I am from Romania 🇷🇴 and I live in Jersey, Channel Islands 🇯🇪, but I do get people saying that I am Italian, both latin languages probably that's why 🙂 It really helps if the steak is thicker, you have more time to react and if you have a probe thermometer you can't really get it wrong. See you around.🙂

I wish you showed how you physically measure the meat temp. Do you measure while it’s in the pan on heat or take it out and measure, then put it back on the pan?
@KitchenDraft
@KitchenDraft 3 месяца назад
Straight in the pan in the center of the steak. Sorry, I should have been more specific on this. If you have any other questions, please let me know 😊

After a minute on each side, you never said how much longer
@KitchenDraft

Hi, thanks for taking your time to leave a comment. It comes a lot to the steak thickness, so I sugest using a probe thermometer, this will tell you exactly whe the steak is cooked to perfection, I hope this helps 😁

How long to baste?
@KitchenDraft
@KitchenDraft 3 месяца назад
1-2 min, it will depend a lot on how thick your steak is. I would use a probe thermometer to know when to stop basting and remove the stake from the heat.
@perthbmx8
@perthbmx8 Месяц назад
Good tips should use more salt and pepper because you lose most of it while cooking also should always season the edges of the steak as well every side counts too adding flavour
@KitchenDraft
@KitchenDraft Месяц назад
Thanks for watching and for the tip. You could absolutely do with more seasoning if you wish. Unfortunately the steak i used was really thin so seasoning on the sides doesn't really do much in this situation, but for thicker cuts makes total sense 🙂

Was the crushed garlic peeled of skin or not?
@KitchenDraft
@KitchenDraft 10 месяцев назад
Hi Romulus, thanks for the question! You can add the garlic with the skin on without any issues, just make sure that you crush it prior to this so it can release its flavour in the melted butter/streak. I hope this helps 😁

What if we don't have a thermometer? How does one eyeball the temp 😅?
@KitchenDraft
@KitchenDraft 9 месяцев назад
Well that comes with experience and although there is a vague technique that some people use with touching certain parts of your palm and wrist to compare it with the touch and feel of the steak, I don't believe in it much because the meat can have slightly different consistency from the steak being aged to the age of the slaughtered animal (at least this is my opinion) A probe thermometer would still be your best chance, at least at the beginning 😁
@Almighty_1
@Almighty_1 8 месяцев назад
Just look it up on youtube. Gordon ramsay has a good way to tell what temp the steak is

You're using a non stick pan on high heat, which is a no no, you should never use high heat with non stick pans. That will break down the non-stick layer and release it into your food. Invest in a stainless steel, cast iron or carbon steel pan.
