Picked up a 22 inch version the other day specifically to use for our RV. Had no idea how versatile these grills are. I consider myself to be a pretty good cook in the kitchen and on a charcoal or gas grill but the griddle is new to me. My wife is a COVID nurse and has really been working hard lately. I’m writing this in the first week of July and the second wave of COVID is in full swing. I’m going to make her this steak dinner tonight when she comes home her shift. I’ve found your blackstone videos to be top notch. Thank you for the tips! And yes I subscribed!
Update: I cooked the steaks and they were amazing! Used my own rub and got that great crust. Hers was perfect but mine was a little too done for me but the taste was unbelievable. I usually cook by feel but did temp this time. They were come of the best steaks we’ve ever had. Did some potatoes, squash, and mushrooms as well as brown butter. Thanks for the instruction.
This video, gave me the confidence, to cook a steak on the griddle. I'm a grill and smoker guy, that has recently started to griddle. My family will agree, that steaks on the griddle are amazing. I thoroughly enjoy your channel. I've been binge watching. Keep up the great work. God bless you and your family.
I love the sound effects in the backgrounds of the kids on a 12-volt ride on lol. I love when it's a homemade video with kids sound effects in the background it gives it that real personal identification
I just made this for the family and let me tell you what, it was not the ordinary ho-hum steak on the grill! Absolutely delicious and I'll never grill another steak without that brown sauce! We were all as happy as short legged ponies in a field full of tall oats! Thank you, Hussey!
Tried filet on the Blackstone tonight the Hungry Hussey way and it did not disappoint! Never had the confidence to try that nice of a piece of meat on the grill before. Thanks Hungry Hussey!
I just finished a fillet and a T Bone with the mushrooms and onions, and your butter finishing sauce. It was Awesome. I'm loving my Blackstone. Thanks for the videos.
At 73 years of age I cooked a large ribeye on a Blackstone grill with YOUR seasoning for the 1st time. I went very slightly over medium rare but it has to be one of the best steaks I have EVER had in my life. You are great.
Hey brother, awesome video. I just got a 2 burner blackstone for Christmas and have not used it yet. I cannot wait, I am semi retired and mama still works full time. I am terrible in the kitchen but I love to grill and smoke. We live in south Florida and the griddle is something that looks to be a heck of a lot quicker. I will keep watching, thanks Gino
It's a relief to see a New York strip on you tube cooking. It seems now in these days EVERYONE is hyped on Ribeye.. And I dont blame them, I LOVE me a good Ribeye
Babygirl let me tell you what. I made some killer groceries on the blackstone griddle after watching your videos. You rock bro. Keep up the good fight and stay safe.
I tell you, some will turn their nose up if not cooked over coals, I believe I could change their minds! They are good and it's quick to get a meal onto the table! Thanks for watching buddy!
You are a great cook in addition to your nice voice...being a cross between the sound of Elvis’s and a sports commentator. Really enjoying your videos!
I purchased a Blackstone for my two boys for Christmas. I know they are gonna love it. Don't apologize for your girl being outside playing instead of inside playing video games. Love the video.
I know for 100% Certainty that, that method is better that spinning it on a grate. Lol. Iove the addition of the shrooms, onions, and finishing sauce. Thanks for sharing
Did this tonight on my 22" BS. Used your seasoning recipe, mushrooms and onions along with asparagus. Came out very good. I also did some baked potatoes, but used my 22" Weber kettle for them. I've only had the BS a couple of wks and am really enjoying using it. Even did breakfast on it this morning. I've used your videos for many of my cooks. Thanks, Ron
I'm hungry, and I'm waiting for my wife to get off the phone, so we can get to the buffet! Then the Hungry Hussey releases a new video! Ya KILLIN me, man!
Do you like cooking with the new blackstone or the old one better? you look happy either way...do you have The Hungry Hussey logo as a sticker? Want to stick it on my travel mug...Thanks Mike.
Cool vid I don’t have a griddle I just use a cast iron plate on my grill instead maybe by Christmas after taking care of family I might have something left over to get a griddle 👍🏾
Do you ever get to eat a full meal with your family? New to the blackstone and your videos but have done 3 since christmas all work very well. Thanks man.
Awesome video. Got our Blackstone 2 weeks ago and we are loving it. Did this meal with New York strips. Turned out amazing. The mushroom and onions were so good with the tender flavorful steaks. And the butter and garlic topping at the end. Slap your grandma good. Thanks for your videos. Very helpful and looking forward to many more meals on my Blackstone
Hey there! What that is/was my lights to help illuminate the set there, really contrasts the light seasoning and heavy seasoning. What you're seeing is that contrast. You're right, it does look that way. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Hussey. Now I have to go buy some steaks. LOL. Man they look good. The mushrooms and onions compliment the steaks nicely. Thanks again for the video my friend.
Man, that's an old one! So, I just stripped that top and reseasoned with lard. It was very fresh and new at that point. It amplifies when under the lights.
That looks some kind of good. Hope y'all faired the storm ok. Going through the southern part it here on the OBX. the wife and a lot of people back home are without power. Will assess the damage when I get her me. I need to try the butter gravy one time though.
Love your videos! I just purchased my griddle, and I have a thermometer gun. I would love to see you do a video on the temperatures you target for various foods, since all griddles vary so much. Instead of knob settings, I'd love the temps to shoot for by food type while I get used to my new griddle. Thanks!
Great job mr hussey! Your point about flipping the steaks a lot is dead right. I’m 100% with you on medium rare and steak without mushrooms is sad, they’re the perfect match. 10/10, would eat!
Yummy We enjoy Nature's Seasonings on our mushrooms, onions, green peppers, red and Orange peppers and call it Medley Medley with a bonus has zucchini You do awesome work Hussey
Looking good! I always cook shrooms with our steaks as well. I season them in butter, worchesteshire, salt and pepper! Let them get good and tender....amazing!
Close up of the cut steak please! Shoot howdy I am in love!! New sub to your channel. The Angel's sing when you cut the steak! Awesome! Thanks for sharing.
