Brother, whenever people ask me what software I use to edit my videos, I tell them Cyberlink, then I follow that up with, and you have to watch Powerdirector University on RU-vid to actually make a quality video.

can I change to microphone record button to a hotkey on the keyboard? when using the mouse my to click the record button, recordings,are picking up click noises from my mouse. I cant find any info on this.
Help! Great video btw, I just subscribed. Ok, I purchased Power Director Deluxe a couple of months ago. Everything was ok till I purchased a GOPro Hero4 Black camera and filmed in 4K 60fpm. When I try to add the video clip to the time line I get a box saying that my version (which is current) doesn't support the video. It has a button to purchase a upgraded version but when I push the button nothing happens. I do not mind paying for what I need. When I click on the version button, it says I have the most current version. Which PD do I need for this video format? (Be nice if it used MOV files also from my Iphone..) Thanks!

Thank you for the continuous how-to-videos Maliek! I have learned every single piece of editing watching your videos. One thing I am very much interesting in learning is how to make an equalizer effect that moves to the beat of different songs. I don´t know if that is even possible in Power Director, but if it is I would greatly appreciate if you would consider it for one of your future videos :-)
+Kampf0r I wish it was but it isn't possible with PowerDirector. That is something that is done using compositors like Apple Motion or Adobe After Effects.
You can't publish directly to RU-vid if you want the finished video to look right. You need to create a file, use the metadata injector tool, and then upload to RU-vid. Every 360 video on RU-vid must use the metadata injector tool to look correct on RU-vid.
Hi Maliek, I have the PD 15 ultra & can't turn on the voice button on my desktop. I tried to use the recorder on capture picked the settings but it isn't highlighted there either. Thanks for all your video's they're fantastic Dirk

Hi! Enjoying your tutitorials! New to this program. Wondering how to replace the audio of a section of clips and replacing it with a music file? Is it as simple as splitting that section of audio on the top track and dragging the music file to the music track and filling the space? Or can you just pull the audio track on the top track down to 0db between the split points, and fade up with the music on the music track to fill that portion? I couldn't find the tutitorial to address this need. Thanks so much.
Is there a way to pause the video while still talking, resume video, pause it and editorialize etc... I have to use my screen recorder but it has digital noise and glitch pops.
Hey malliek. I was hoping you could answer my question. Is there a way to increase or decrease the soundlevel over 1 entire audio track . So i can increase the whole track instead of doing this separate with all audio parts in that track? Hope this makes sense :)

I'm glad that when I made a video for the first time, I also used my Blue Yeti mic and Audacity to record my first track. Because of the camera being a distance away, the voice quality was not there. I thought it would be difficult to add the voice over and get it lined up, but it was simple using PowerDirector 15 Today using Dowerdirector 15, I voiced over my first video, while watching your video. Thanks for making it easier for me. I also got CyberLink AudioDirector 7 (64-bit) in the Director Suite 5 package, the only problem was that I do not know what setting to use yet and the voice was not recording at a good level. So I used Audacity to record without changing any setting and the voice came out great. Do you have, or can you make a video on using the settings in AudioDirector 7? Thanks Keep up the great work.
Question: when I add narration from a second video coincidentally with my main photos/video on the first channels, I save the entire presentation and get the strangest icon: when I return to saving the video the next day, all the narration has a gray tone, shows "0.00" on the length, and has a black page icon, with a white dog ear and a "?" on it. It won't play the narration. Even though it was saved. What is going on? How can I get the entire narration back without doing it all over again?

@@PDU_Tutorials I've had nothing but problems since I bought PowerDirector. Any conceivable problem which is connected with this program--I have experienced. Sometimes doing the same video over multiple times, large numbers of blue screens, messages Microsoft error messages aplenty, strange icons over video and audio segments, multiple "saves" at different sources (I use 3 different locations) with the same problems emerging on each. I never would have bought this program if I knew what I was getting into. It is a TERRIBLE and worthless video program.
@@PDU_Tutorials I have become a paid member of your organization and welcome any suggestions as I value your personal experience and knowledge. My computer appears to be fine; no viruses or problems; the machine is loaded with memory; so-called "experts" have worked with my machine and found nothing the matter with it. I simply have to do some of my videos as many as seven (7!) times over and over again--because each time I finish them, more problems develop and then I go and re-do all the NEW problems which arise. My latest program I thought I'd finished after two attempts. Now it will take a third attempt to finish it. Any work with PowerDirector takes me an average of four to five weeks of work, as the system causes so many problems each time. The contempt I have for this program knows no bounds. Perhaps your people will figure this out!? I can't give people deadlines--as I am commissioned to do these and they get as frustrated as I do trying to finish them.

Very useful, using PD Ultimate 14 my sound (music & voice over) is great over my PC but sounds like it's been recorded in a box when played on any TV after burning to DVD, any suggestions?
Most of what I learned through my research is that the settings on your media player / tv needs to be adjusted. if you have any audio presets on your tv or connected home theater system you need to turn them off. Love your channel, too bad I only have the PowerDirector App on my Android Phone. I came to find out how to add a voice over to a portion of my vid, while removing the original sound in that portion. Can't figure that out, I've tried everything I can to accomplish that, but no. If I go to a this software, I'll be back. Thanks!
Hey Maliek, great videos and very helpful too, I'm just stating my channel and cannot do voice overs on my videos, the icons on the side with the list of rooms, all are clickable EXCEPT the voiceover room, do you have any idea what I've done wrong? I can't figure it out, I've been through all the settings, all of the voice over videos from you and other channels, I'm at a loss. Thanks for any help you can give me. Chris
There needs to be some analysis of what you have and haven't done. In order to do this you have to post your issue on the PowerDirector Forum. It can't be done on RU-vid because you'll need to provide screen shots and or screen recordings. Got to the PD Forum forum.cyberlink.com/forum/forums/show/157.page and register with the forum so you can post your question. Post your question along with the following information: What microphone are you using in the Voice over Room? Have you done the setup for that microphone? Create and attach the Dxdiag.txt file of your computer. forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/45453.page Create and attach a screen recording of what you are doing. Since a Screen Recording may be very large, you should post to a drop box or put the video Unlisted on RU-vid. Be sure to post the link to that video in your reply.
Mine is very low sound and staticky as hell. I’m using an audio box with a very good microphone. I’m about to give up on power director bc it works fine in other programs

I don't have a mic yet and have a few questions. 1) Is there any difference in PD 15 Ultimate? and 2) My sound card has an input jack for a mic, but I see there are also USB mics available. What's the difference and what different input settings should I use for each one? Thanks again! Oops, forgot one: when is PD 16 coming out and will you have an affiliate link for the upgrade?
It is basically the same in PD 15. I like USB mics but some people prefer analog along with some sort of usb interface The settings will depend on your voice, the room you're in, the sound dampening tools you have etc. I don't know when 16 is coming out. When it does come out I'll have the link in the description of my review video.
Hi, I also have the Focusrite 2i2. I'm having a lot of trouble recording voice overs in Adobe premiere and premiere elements as the voice (which comes from a mono source) is split up into stereo. This means that I can hear only one channel of the stereo and sound comes out of one side of the headphones. Left or right! NOT both. This also happens when I'm hearing the voiceover live as I'm recording. only comes from one channel. Can this program split the mono source from the 2i2 into 2 L &R channels both being mono so it comes out of both ears?
Great video in sound...but I'm having a major problem with my finished videos in that they will only play properly on Play Station or X box. With any other ordinary player (which it seems most people have) the picture plays only with no sound. I've created other videos previously and all was fine. Using Power Director 14 Deluxe. Any ideas on what is wrong?
Thanks for the videos. I noticed in this one about voice-over that it will not let you pick a 24 bit rate when recording. Is this also the case when using other sources of audio with the program? Or is it only that it won't let you export your final piece in anything but 16 bit? I guess it would make since that you couldn't export in anything higher than 16 bit since most CD only use that. But I'd like to know before I use (or even buy the program) if I can start with something 24 bit. Please advise. Thanks.
There are so many to choose from. You should select the one that is best based on your research and the price you are willing to pay. Some people like USB mics and some swear by using a USB focusrite adapter and a XLR mic. A lot of people seem to like the Blue Yeti.
