Power Director is the most underrated editing program out there. And these tutorials are helping everyone to see that. I'm amazed with it's progression. You da man$
Hi Maliek! No questions, I just want to give you a huge THANK YOU for all these tutorials! I just purchased this software a month ago when I started my channel and these videos have helped me IMMENSELY! I'm brand new in the video making/editing world and hadn't a clue how to do any of it until I started following you, so thank you so much for all the help!
Trying to watch all of your PD tutorials , this edit audio video helps me a lot , especially the normalize function surprise me , cause i don't realize that detail when i made video before.
Using normalize will help get all you audio at the same level. really a great feature. If you're trying to watch all my videos you will be watching for a while. I really wish everyone would watch them all.
Most tutorials are almost a burden... I just wish that people would hurry up and just show me what I need while I'm frustrated. But there's something about you that's so positive and uplifting... it almost makes the tutorials fun to watch! Anyway, thanks for the tutorial! It helped a lot! :)
+JordanTheGamer - PC Gaming I try my best to bring a little fun to my tuts so it is good to know that I'm bringing some enjoyment to my PD Peeps. Appreciate the kind words. :-)
These are the absolute best videos to learn Power Director. Many other videos on Power Director are just people playing around that don't help anyone. Power Director University is the BEST.
I started watching this video in frustration, thinking that I made the wrong choice when I chose to buy PowerDirector instead of Final Cut or Premier Pro... Now I'm completely satisfied, once again lol. Thanks for this. I've subscribed in effort to keep my frustration level at 0.
Another reason why PD consistently gets "best software" reviews! Straightforward, easy and intuitive. (Rather than doing your lift manually at the end, you "can" use the programmed fade-in, but the manual option gives you more control!) We've passed links to your Channel to many of our friends (those who are willing to learn, that is!) Hopefully you'll have a few more subscribers pretty soon!!
Maliek, you are the best! Thank you for having clear and specific answers to all the questions I've encountered with Power Director. You have officially clicked on the thumbness pointed in the upward direction.
I'm showing the thumb some love, baby! I was having a very frustrating struggle with independent volume / audio controls with my clips in version 12. This video actually solved my problem within the first 5 minutes. Mr. Whitaker does a great job explaining the precision of this program in a straight forward, easy to understand way. And he does it with style! Ya ya!
I did know a little about fading audio in and out, but what I could use is a simple way to rasie/lower the entire audio on any one clip.... Once again thanks to you for taking the time for another toot....
+Titantramp4u You can raise or lower one clip by adding keyframes to the ends of the clip and adjusting them or by placing it on a track by itself and using the audio mixing room to raise the volume of the track that it is on.
Maliek, I also want to add my thanks for taking time to make these demos! I have a need to turn in a single (mono) track into a stereo output. Yes, the sound will be the very same on both sides but both speakers will have sound not just one side. I get this when I use an external mic jack on my stereo input of my camcorder.
+Sam Scherf You can use Wave Editor to copy and paste one channel into the other channel, or you can use CyberLink TrueTheater during produce and it will copy the left channel to the right during the produce process.
+PowerDirector University Looks like "TrueTheater" has an added cost (after a 30 day free trial) so I'll see if I can find Wave Editor and learn how to use it. Thanks for the two leads.
Thank you for this video. I do quilting tutorials and use a mixture of audio from the camera and voice overs. I've had so many problems trying to get the audio at the same level. I think you have answered my problems! Thank you. I really enjoy your training videos.
Bought this editor after watching your videos. Thanks for the videos showing how to do many of the techniques. It does a lot for the price point. I wasn't expecting a lot for the price, but this product is jam packed with so many features. I am coming from Movie Maker and am very impressed with the power in Power Director 15. Thanks again. I subscribed because I am sure I'll be back for more info.
I have been using PowerDirector since MediaSuite 10 (2012?). I just recently upgraded (again) to ver 16. I still learned a lot on this video! Thanks for the great tutorials mate. Have some Texas love - from the Philippines. 😀
Great video. I always learn a lot from your videos no matter how much I have read the manuals and watched Cyberlink videos. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks.
Maliek, Thank you for being such a good teacher of power director.Your style is so clear and personable. Whenever I get stuck I turn to one of your videos and bamm!!! Problem solved. Thanks for providing such a necessary service. Terry
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I have really been struggling with my audio. This answered all my questions perfectly! Gave you the thumbs up and subscribed. Can't wait to check out more of your vids.
After studying this tutorial, why do I need to bother with Audio Director, Audacity, Premiere Pro or After Effects. This teaches me everything I need to know about audio. Mr. Whitaker, you tutorials are the best!
Guys.I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP !! before watch this tutorial which I think Is great. I did not know how to adjust the audio and all that. I played with the editor, I was like clicking everywhere to trying to adjust the volumen, and now when I put the video in the editor program any sound is not coming out. like nothing at all. I already check the White line in the audio and everything is fine I tried to put it back into the original audio and is not working. Sorry about my English grammar, it is not my first language. I hope I was clear and you guys can understand and HELP ME. I would be so thankful !!
I need to go back and look at your older videos then the 15 I have been wondering how to make up several Christmas clips to gather and make the volume the same for this older person I'm doing this for, thanks again genus.
Thanks again for a brilliantly detailed video Maliek, really want to see how to create a basic music video tutorial from you or something along them lines. Keep up the good work brother 👍
Appreciate the compliment. I try to make sure my peeps can understand the instructions so they not only see how to get it done but they learn how to do things on their own. 😊
Man I feel I should comment...only cos I want to thank you for your time and effort in these videos normally I just watch them and go on my way but ye just want to say thanks man!!!
Absolutely agree with Gregory (below). Been trying to sort this out for ages. Now I feel like doing a lot of my projects again with 100% improvement on the audio side.ThanksMaliek
@@PDU_Tutorials Thanks! I do have a question: Do you have to get specific permission from Cyberlink PowerDirector to upload videos with the PowerDirector in them? In other words, uploading PowerDirector tutorials?
Thanks Maliek great tutorial as normal. I also find enlarging the audio tracks to see and control it better... I also use AudioDirector with PowerDirector and they work together perfectly for that added power...
Como siempre muy claro tu tutorial. Aunque no escribo ingles propiamente a ti te entiendo 99.99% bien, gracias una vez mas por un trabajo bien hecho, tu sigues siendo mi muchacho.
Hi Maliek! I'm adding this before I watch your video as I know I will get over-involved in my putting into practice your always great advice. I'm for the first time-ever of converting and creating a video and using PD Version 18 (365). I know Publisher quite well so not a steep learning curve in similar areas. I love PD's logical approach and it's so good knowing your vids will have the answers for any of my queries. You're like a new best friend to me! Take care, stay safe.
Thanks so much again, Maliek! As always, being helpful in creating my You Tube videos. I just hope I will be able to gain more "fans" from my channel as well. Have a great day! 👍😊
I spoke too soon. The XLR on the left side of my camera outputs as left channel audio. The XLR on the top of my camera is right channel. When I import into PD15, even with the tool in the audio menu, I haven't figured out how to separate this stereo pair as two separate mono channels. I want my voice over from my LAV centered up, and the nat sounds from my shotgun centered up, and I want to independently control the levels of each. One person suggested I export the audio and manipulate it with audio editing software, then re-import, but this seems like a lot of work. Do you have any better suggestions?
You are the bomb.com Thanks for so much help. I've been trying to laugh my channel and there are so many little things to deal with in editing. I'm always turning to your videos!
how can a audio fade out be done? I just want the volume to go lower at the end of the audio clip to fade out with the background music. Thanks for your kind response and help!
You can use the audio keyframes to fade the audio or you can use audio transitions to fade the audio. Watch my transition tutorial for info on using audio transitions to fade.
