Wow girl . I'm. 67 been doing this since I was c 8 years old . You did a excellent job explaining the process of the single crochet . Some one finnaly did it in less than a minute.
Ok, not gonna lie.... I've always wanted to learn but everyone who tried to explain it just confused me. This is the first time I actually feel like I can do it!!! Thank you!!!
Honestly, I need to genuinely thank you. My grandmother tried to teach me for years. I also tried to learn via other videos and books/crochet kits. Could never do it. A few months ago, I saw this video when I wanted to try and learn again. This is it. This is the video that somehow made it "click". Now, I am crocheting far beyond beginner status just a few months later! I make wearables, blankets, accessories, amigurumi, you name it. I do it every day and it is genuinely my "thing" I've tried tons of hobbies, etc over the years but none have ever been quite like crocheting is for me. It's therapeutic and I am genuinely so proud of myself all the time. My grandmother is no longer with us but she would be so proud too ( though maybe a bit peeved that a 60 second video taught me hahah). Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I send this video to anyone asking me how to learn.
My nana taught me and I use wonderful colors and the people love it you do the work make it look great craft fashionable and unique as I never made the same thing again I put a photo on Facebook and say what they can buy it from
Somehow this video helps me more to learn how to crochet. Thx so much girl. I've spent a entire month TRYING to learn how to crochet. This video helped ALOT!
I need someone to show me how to do it till they get to the end of their row. I’m a visual learner- but this is the best explanation I’ve heard/seen of the second row ty.
This is really useful and I could have used this 10+ years back! However, one thing I wish you'd have included was how when you're on the second row how they will be going through two loops instead of one. Otherwise, there's going to be a lot of backloop only crochet projects.
I am ten and am trying to learn but I did not realize that you are just slip knot instead of punching a hole in the wall trying to learn the magic ring I feel dumb really really dumb
@@tristansutton6970the magic ring is useful to know too, but it's usually used for making circles, and squares from the middle...slip knot is good for everything else...hope this helps you 🙂, and keep going you can do it 💪!
FOR ANYONE THAT FEELS LIKE GIVING UP !! dw ur not alone abt 2 hrs ago I was struggling sm but then i kept watching tutorials and now I'm pretty decent I feel like ik the basics and everything!! Fr. I once was crocheting and I was just in my own world it felt like I was the only one here and I was with god peacefully crocheting together😓does that sound weird🫣
@@KamilaAddams Ikr I've been on and one for months but 11 days ago I thought to myself NO WAY UR NOT GIVING UP but Then my mom came in and taught me her way and I finally get it !
Gurlll samee!! I want to learn it soo bad but I can't even get the magic knot right This tutorial seems the easiest out of everything that I've watched
I have struggled for YEARS to figure out how to get the second row started after the initial chain. Nobody ever explained it in a way that I could understand. This was so easy to understand. I really appreciate this!
You can also like this video, go to where all your liked videos are, click the three dots on the video you wanna save and save it to watch later or a playlist you have created. Hope this helped.
None of the other videos make sense, so thank you! I have been trying to learn for months now, but I just didn't get it. This was the video that actually explains it!
Learning how to crochet is not as hard as you think. I am 14 and I learned about a year ago how to crochet and it only took me a few weeks to get the hang of it. After only a few months I could make extremely complex projects and now a year since I learned I can crochet pretty much anything as long as I hv the yarn lol
I remember watching this video over and over again about 2-3 months ago when I started crocheting And now I’m crocheting stuffed animals and clothes!! This video was amazing!!
I mostly learned techniques(Like holding the yarn and making stuff clearer) from my dad, but one of the big factors with me was yt videos, i learned how to (Sc,Dc,Tc,Inc,cs) and even do some shapes
Girl! You need to make more crotchet tutorials!! I have been learning for a while but never understood how to crotchet a second row. This 60 second video helped me understand almost instantly!! Petition for her to do more tuts: ⬇️
Thank you so much! Your grandma has a very good way of holding her yarn! As a beginner this was really helpful instead of watching a 30 minute video of someone doing it as slow as possible! 🎉
I always wanted to knit but could never really get it. Then in 2020 (while looking for something new to do) I discovered crochet and taught myself, with the help of RU-vid, how to do it and I absolutely LOVE it!
I'm a teen and I do not live in my home country. My mums side lives in my home country. I remember in childhood seeing my grandma doing crochet, she was making a teal sweater for my cousin or for me, I can't quite remember, I was quite fascinated by it as a 5 year old, but never asked her to teach me to do it. My grandma was also really good at sewing clothes, specially traditional clothes. I've been living abroad for many years, so I wasn't that close with her, but I knew she loved me very much, and she would always pray for me. Which I'm really greatfull for. Sadly enough she passed away recently in June 2022 and you mentioning your grandma reminded me of her doing crochet.
I've watched SO MANY how to videos on this and I'm telling you right now, this is the best one I've seen so far and idk why but I can process it so much better than any other one. Like I get it now haha thank you!❤
As somebody who began crocheting in late December/early January and struggled a lot, the way she goes about some of these is one of the harder variations. Slip knots can be made easier, you can hold the yarn just as efficiently in different ways, you can hold the hook in different ways, it all really boils down to ability and preference (and most variations do not effect your project at all). She also does these pretty fast, so I suggest looking up slower videos that show you how to do things up close. I remember struggling so much when I was first learning, but I promise you crochet can be really easy once you get better “yarn sense”. No hate here, I’m glad she’s encouraging people to learn such a fun craft! I just don’t want anybody to see this and get discouraged!
Thank you!!! (I already know how to crochet but it was still really nice to watch! If you are reading this have a great day and you can do this! I believe in you!! Ps. Love your videos! ❤️
When I started learning it was complicated, but after a while I got used to it and I always followed crochet tutorials, even though it wasn't perfect, the results were pretty good 😭😭
I started crocheting by watching my grandma using recycled materials instead of buying yarn. She taught me to do my 1st chain using old clothes and using the big size of hook ☺️.
The way you hold the yarn is the correct way but not every one feels comfort so they hold it differently. I was taught the same as you by an older lady I just met when I was 16 yrs old. I'm 61 now.
Always knew how to crotchet, but never knew how to connect them! It took me a couple tries but here after 15 years this video got me crotcheting rows together!!! 😊 thanks!
I’ve been crocheting for years now I’ve never seen anyone hold it that way🧐 I do it like this: 1. I put the string on my hand 2. I put the short end between my pointing finger and middle finger 3. I put the short end between my pinky finger and index finger 4. I close my pinky finger and index finger 5. I take the long end and squeeze it between my thumb and the middle of my middle finger 6. I put the croché hook in the loop I made The you go you’re done go ahead and start crocheting have fun!😗
I'm so glad crochet has gotten more popular, I learned how to crochet at 13 from RU-vid videos lol. I've seen some pretty amazing crochet pieces from all different age groups. It's such a therapeutic craft.
This is so helpful to somebody who is under age like under the age of 12 . I wanted to start and this helped me so much.Thank you holly for all ur help
My aunt who was blind like seen basically 0 tried to teach me to crochet but I could jever find the next stitch and she had absolutely no problem it was second nature just something shed always done but to this day i still cant crochet i can knit thabks to her rip Aunt Jamie !
@@EriBarr i think crocheting is so pretty I am pretty sad I never picked it up well because she made beautiful stuff my oldest has the last baby blanket she ever crocheted
@@madisonridenour671 you can still pick It up! I learned from videos on here lol.. and I made my first crochet baby blanket for my sisters baby.. Something special for my first niece/nephew (she wants the gender to be a surprise lol) it’s not fancy but it came out really nice and it didn’t take long at all.. with my adhd I get distracted and tend to get bored half way through projects lol but the c2c pattern works up so fast! You should try it! I have a hard time finding the right stich and keeping things square lol and this pattern helps with that issue.. You could also start small! I started by making a munch of snowflakes for our Christmas tree! It was good practice.. also start with a heavier yarn and bigger hook.. it makes bigger stitches which are easier to see, feel and count! .. once you get a hang of it you can start going smaller.. I’m working my way down.. I want to be able to make a doily type table cloth or bed cover almost like lace 😍
This is so helpfull! Not that I have done much re search but i havent found such a clare video of it! Just 15 minets ago i made a little crochet stik thing from wood and now i can use it!!! Sorry if i have spelling errors, english is not my first langade
You just taught me how to do something in 60 seconds that my mom couldn’t teach me in like 15 years. Why couldn’t she make it this easy?!? I think I’m gonna try it again.
